Keys: Invinciboy, [Title Card], Invincible, Duct Tape Man, Viltrumite Subject 2, Brah-Brah · Secondary:
[history] Markus Sebastian "Mark" Grayson is the main character in the series of the same name. He is the superhero Invincible, who is half Viltrumite and half human. He is the son of Nolan and Debbie Grayson, the older half-brother of Oliver Grayson II, and the boyfriend of Eve Wilkins/Atom Eve. He is also Oliver's grandson.
Mark was born as a Viltrumite-Human, but he gained his powers at the age of 17. He then began training to become a hero, with his father teaching him. After a short time with the Teen Team, Mark joined forces with Atom Eve, the second version of the Guardians of the Globe, and Cecil Stedman from the G.D.A. They worked to protect Earth from any known threats and try to protect the whole galaxy from the dangers posed by the Viltrum Empire.
[Appearance] Mark is a tall, fair-skinned teenager. He has black hair that is cut short at the back and a few strands of hair that stick up. His brown eyes are round. Mark was slim before, but since he got his powers, he has got leaner and more muscular. He looks tired and stressed, probably because of problems with his dad. After doing lots of hard exercise and training with the G.D.A., he starts to get a bit more muscle.
[suits] For Mark's suit from the first episode of Season 1, go to Goggles and Scarf. To find the suits that Mark wore in seasons 1, 2 and 3, look in the Yellow and Blue Suit section. To find the suit that Mark wore in Season 3, Episode 3 and later, look under the 'Black and Blue Suit' category.
Mark wears a dark navy green shirt, khaki trousers and white shoes when he is not in uniform. This is about Mark's suit from seasons one to three.
When Invincible learned his powers, he started wearing an orange and white shirt and pants, along with a scarf mask with goggles. He wore this outfit to his first fight against Titan.
As Invincible, his hair sticks out of the top of his hero suit. His suit has a yellow mask with goggles to keep the air out of his eyes as he flies. The suit is yellow in the middle, stopping at his waist in an upside-down triangle shape; it also has blue on the shoulders, blending into the yellow in an M shape. The rest of his costume is black, except for the yellow gloves and blue boots that start from his knees down.
In the third season, Invincible gets a new suit that looks similar to his previous one, except the colours are blue and black, there are no knee pads, the boots are black, and the goggles are black with white lighting.
[personality] Ark/Invincible is a hero who is brave, competitive, kind and noble. He stays true to his values, especially when he finds out how difficult being a superhero can be. He finds it hard to see himself as one, while trying to balance schoolwork with lives in danger. But underneath this front, the young hero is insecure and full of doubt. At the start of his career, he didn't think he was strong enough to be a hero, let alone like his father, Omni-Man.
When he found out the truth about his father and the Viltrumites, Mark became sad and thoughtful, but he was still determined to become a hero and protect Earth. He finds it hard to move on because he is always thinking about what his father did, and he is facing hostility from experienced heroes like Darkwing II and The Immortal.
Because of this, he spends all his time working as a superhero, and he becomes cold and distant towards his mother. He also wants to forget about his father. In the end, he wants to show that he is a real hero. We see this when he bravely saved the Queen of Atlantis, even though she had him take part in a fight to the death.
Even though he is very strong, Mark usually tries not to kill people in fights. He tries to control them instead. This has made Mark too powerful, even against villains like Thula, and almost killed him because he hesitated so much. This is also shown in Mark's battle against Machine Head's bodyguards, where a cornered Mark feels a surge of adrenaline and manages to defeat several supervillains after threatening to kill them all. When his family or friends are directly threatened, he can easily lose himself in his rage. For example, he ruthlessly attacked foes like the Flaxan Leader for threatening Atom Eve, despite their pleas. He also attacked Angstrom Levy after a brief exchange, and Conquest for merely appearing at a time where he was emotionally vulnerable (and threatening him due to his lack of progress in subjugating the Earth). But after his fight with Conquest, he decides to kill anyone who might be a threat to his family, just like his younger brother says.
Mark has a strong sense of justice, but he doesn't always use the best methods to deal with difficult situations. He tends to resort to violence instead of talking to people who disagree with him. For example, when he argued with Anissa, she showed him that he didn't understand the logic of what she was saying, and he had to admit that she was right. But then she beat him up for getting angry.
Cecil has also criticised him for being arrogant and egotistical, for similar reasons as Anissa, but more so to make him understand the larger issues involved in keeping Earth safe. Rather than focusing on just locking up villains without giving them a chance to redeem themselves, seek therapeutic help that was missing from much of their lives and that was a major factor in their actions, and lastly to use their abilities to save people. However, Mark was stubborn and arrogant when Cecil tried to reason with him. This made Cecil use harsh methods to stop Mark, which damaged their professional relationship. It also caused many of the Guardians of the Globe to leave the organisation after seeing Cecil's extreme methods.
Mark couldn't kill people who couldn't be saved. He always tried to stop them and use the justice system instead. People have been talking about this ever since Oliver's dad told him off for not fighting back properly in a fight to the death. Oliver says he won't stop the Mauler twins from hurting people because they keep getting out of prison. This supports Mark's 'no kill' rule.
When Cecil teases Mark about Oliver's killing of the Maulers, Mark gets very angry and goes to his headquarters to confront him. He suspects that the G.D.A. is spying on his family using sneaky methods. After the Invincible War and surviving his battle with Conquest, Invincible has a new outlook on life. He says that from now on, he will kill any or all enemies to protect his friends and family. He also makes his relationship with Cecil better. Cecil helped Oliver and saved him and Eve at the end of Oliver's fight with Conquest.
Powerplex made him remember the terrible things that happened after his father's attack in Chicago. He felt guilty because he was the reason Powerplex became the violent person he is today. When he comes face-to-face with Powerplex, he doesn't fight back. Instead, he tries to talk things through and help Powerplex, giving him some closure. But his efforts are in vain, as Mark finds it hard to express how sorry he is for Powerplex's losses. Instead, he tells him how he remembers the people who died. However, Powerplex's delusions and hatred make him snarl back at him, and he rejects his sincere attempts at an apology.
During and after the Invincible War, Mark sees for himself how many different versions of himself are running wild across Earth. He feels ashamed and doesn't want to join the fight. Instead, he stays with Atom Eve, who is already being looked after by the G.D.A. and her parents. This could have easily prevented many more people from being hurt, especially since even his younger brother, Oliver, took charge and fought many of the patients despite not having any experience of combat.
This made Mark feel ashamed of Earth. When Conquest arrives, Mark uses the encounter as a chance to express his frustrations, which helps him to start trusting Cecil again. But Invincible doesn't know that Cecil has been using the bodies of his evil versions to make new ReAnimen and has also kept Conquest alive. This could easily lead to more conflict between Mark and Conquest if the latter heals and resumes his rampage on Earth, especially if Cecil fails to protect the planet as a whole.
During Rex Splode's funeral, Mark felt relieved that Eve was still alive. However, she misunderstood and thought he was ignoring Rex's death and feeling sorry for himself because she was alive. But this misunderstanding was sorted out really quickly.
[powers] Viltrumite-Human Hybrid Physiology: Although Mark Grayson is a mixture of human and Viltrumite, his Viltrumite genes are dominant. This makes him almost indistinguishable from a typical Viltrumite. At first, he was no different from a normal person, but his powers started to appear fully at the age of 17. After that, he quickly adapted and got stronger over time. Even though he doesn't have much experience, Mark has shown that he can fight and beat experienced Viltrumite warriors. General Kregg, a strong and experienced soldier, thought Mark was capable of succeeding where his father had failed. When he was at his best, Mark was able to make Conquest, the second most powerful Viltrumite ever, try hard, which showed how great he was.
Anger Empowerment: Mark is able to get much stronger when he is feeling intense emotions, especially anger. This sudden burst of energy gives him a new lease of life, making him much stronger and better at fighting. When he is really stressed, this makes him feel stronger and stronger. It helps him to do better than his enemies. Slowing down the aging process: Mark lives much longer than other people because of how his body works. This means that the effects of ageing pass over him more slowly. This slows down the effects of ageing on him, meaning he can stay in great shape, physically fit and keep up his combat performance way beyond what most people could.
Dominant Genes: Viltrumites are very good at adapting to new situations because of their powerful genetic make-up. Mark, like others of his kind, can reproduce with a wide range of species, with his Viltrumite DNA overwhelmingly taking over in the offspring. As a result, the child will usually be mostly Viltrumite, often looking and acting like a Viltrumite. The more similar the mate's species is, the faster and more reliably the offspring will show all the standard Viltrumite abilities. Flight: Mark has the ability to levitate and propel himself through the air at will, reaching extreme speeds, thanks to a complex balancing system located in his inner ears. He can easily change direction in the air, making sharp turns, sudden stops and accurate aerobatic moves. His control makes it easy to get around in lots of different places.
Superhuman Strength: Mark Grayson is very strong. He can lift lots of weight and hit hard, destroying both his enemies and the things around him. One of his first times doing this was when he accidentally sent a rubbish bag from America to England, showing how good he was at this. As he grew, Mark got much stronger. He once threw a baseball from Chicago to Mount Everest and back again in one throw. He easily overpowered foes like Titan and Killcannon early in his career and displayed frightening bursts of power when emotionally triggered, such as breaking out of alien restraints to save Atom Eve or smashing through enemies after witnessing comrades in danger. He was so strong that he was able to fight Allen the Alien without winning (while not fighting back) and push back against the Flaxan armies many times. He got more and more powerful. He caught and threw a huge rock, destroyed energy weapons, and regularly overpowered human-augmented threats like the ReAnimen. In combat, he has launched enemies across cities, crushed advanced armour and shattered constructs. One of his most important strength displays was during his fight with his father, Omni-Man. Even though he was not as strong as the others, Mark fought bravely. Omni-Man used Mark's body to kill civilians, most horrifically by ramming him through a subway train full of people. Mark attacked Nolan, but Nolan wasn't fazed. During the battle on Thraxa, Mark met his first Viltrumite, Lucan. Though overpowered and thrown aside, he managed to land a few hits before Omni-Man arrived. When two more Viltrumites, Vidor and Thula, joined the fight, Mark battled Thula. At first, he was not as strong as the others, but he started to win when he saw that the Thraxan people were being killed. But in the end, he lost because he refused to kill her. This display impressed General Kregg, who saw Mark as a worthy successor to Omni-Man in leading Earth's Viltrumite conquest. His fight with Anissa, the strongest female Viltrumite, showed how far he had to go to reach his full potential. Even though Mark tried hard, he was too strong and couldn't hit his opponent properly. He only had a 18% chance of surviving. But this big loss made him want to do three months of extra training, which made him much stronger. Before his hard training, Mark fought Angstrom Levy, who threatened his family by sending him to different realities. On his way, Mark joined forces with Agent Spider to fight against Professor Ock. He was beaten by cavemen and Omnipotus, but he managed to beat a lot of enemies before going back home. There, he fought a cyber-enhanced Angstrom, who was stronger for a short time, until Mark used all his power in the Wasteland Universe, beating Angstrom almost to death and leaving him horribly disfigured. After intensive GDA training, Mark's strength increased by 138%. This meant he could do amazing things like lift a giant's leg, hold up an iceberg and pick up cars. After his training, Mark was able to beat foes that had previously been too strong for him, such as ReAnimen and Multi-Paul's clones. He also beat enemies like Doc Seismic's monsters and sea beasts. In fact, he was even stronger than most versions of himself from other realities. In another world, Mark went up against the Immortal, who was a cruel ruler. At first, Mark was not very aggressive, but he eventually cut off his head by shrugging off his strongest blows very easily. One time, he stopped a really powerful EMP missile in the air with just one punch, which saved Earth's communication systems. During his fight with Mister Liu, a huge dragon, Mark temporarily overpowered the creature by flying straight into its head, killing it. Even though Mark had been bitten by Liu's sharp teeth, he still managed to hit Liu back. But Liu was able to recover and eventually beat Mark. During the Invincible War, Mark fought Movincihawk evenly and later overpowered him with help. He also fought Hoodvincible, who admitted that Mark was stronger than expected, until Omnivincible arrived. Mark put up a good fight against the two of them, and might have won if Eve hadn't distracted him. In a new fight with Angstrom Levy, Mark used a special door to go to another universe. He fought the drones and broke through the swarm of enemies before Angstrom escaped. Mark's most difficult challenge came against Conquest, the second strongest Viltrumite. Even though he was weaker, he managed to hurt Conquest, breaking his metal arm and tearing part of his shoulder off. Full of rage after Eve's death, he launched a vicious counterattack, holding his own until Eve's energy blast gave him the edge to finish the fight. Invincible is very strong, and is getting stronger. But right now, Conquest, Battle Beast and maybe Anissa are stronger. Movincihawk is also very strong.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Mark is very resilient, meaning he is almost indestructible. He is not bothered by any environment, whether it is there or not. He can handle the recoil from his own speed. Even when he was really tired from the fight with the Maulers, he could handle a big explosion in Angstrom's warehouse. This explosion destroyed the Maulers. After his training, he could withstand a nuclear warhead at point-blank range. Mark's nervous system is also strong. After it was targeted and scrambled, Mark was able to stand up and soon after recover.
Reactive Adaptation: Mark can improve quickly and naturally. The more he struggles, the stronger, faster and more durable he will become, especially when facing tough challenges or recovering from serious injuries. What's more, his experience in combat helps him to learn from what happened in the past. This helps him to improve his tactics and do better in future battles. Mark was initially overwhelmed by Thula, a very experienced Viltrumite soldier. However, he quickly adapted to her tactics and ultimately overpowered her. The only reason he lost was because he hesitated to kill her. After 90 days of hard training with the G.D.A., Mark got much stronger and fitter, increasing his strength by 138%. This made him think he could now beat Anissa, who had easily beaten Mark just before his training began.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Mark can heal from most injuries quickly and without any lasting effects, even those that would normally be fatal. He is also immune to virtually all illnesses and contaminants. He was able to heal all the damage he got during his fight inside within a few days. The wound from the claw was already starting to heal just a few minutes after it was removed. As his powers grew, he was able to heal himself quickly from the two claw marks left by Mister Liu's dragon form.
Superhuman Lung Capacity: Mark has very big lungs, which let him breathe without air for a long time. This ability lets him work in environments with very little oxygen, like space, without any protection.
Superhuman Senses: Mark has amazing sensory skills that go beyond what is possible for humans. He can hear sounds from far away very clearly. This means he can detect even the quietest noises and ignore the ones he doesn't need to hear. He can also see things far away as clearly as things that are near. He is very balanced and poised, which means he is calm and steady, even in difficult situations.
Superhuman Speed: Mark can move extremely quickly, moving at speeds multiple times faster than the speed of sound. He can easily achieve escape velocity of Earth and leave its atmosphere within 9 seconds. He is one of the fastest people on Earth (and probably the fastest). He is faster than The Immortal. He is also very quick to react.
Superhuman Stamina: Mark can keep going for long periods without getting tired, and also recover quickly from very hard physical attacks, like electrocution. He can also handle some of the most severe injuries that would instantly kill a human, as long as his heart and brain aren't too badly damaged. He was able to survive a brutal beating from Hail Mary with little discomfort and multiple punches from Omni-Man without dying. Even being stabbed through the chest didn't hurt him. He can also go for several weeks without sleep or food.
Superhuman Endurance: Mark's stamina is much better than a normal person's. He was able to survive being cut open, survive in space without needing to breathe, and even withstand blows from the strongest Viltrumites like his father, Anissa, and Conquest.
[weakness] Being impulsive and selfish. Mark has shown that he is very impulsive and selfish. He thinks he can handle every situation by himself and that he is always right. After Cecil hired D.A. Sinclair and Darkwing II to help protect humanity, this caused problems with Mark. Mark thinks they should be put in prison forever, even though they felt guilty for all the murders they had committed. Mark also refused to have any help from his closest friends, Atom Eve and his half-brother Oliver, when facing powerful and dangerous foes like the Maulers and Conquest. Short-Temperament: Mark has lost his temper quite a lot, and one time this led to Angstrom Levy's death.
Biological: Viltrumites can be harmed by high-frequency noise. It makes them lose their balance, can stop them from flying, causes a lot of pain and might even kill them. How much pain you feel depends on how strong the signal is. Extreme Force: Viltrumites are among the most powerful beings in the universe, but they are not invincible. Viltrumites are weak against beings that are as strong as them or stronger.
Scourge Virus: The virus was developed from Viltrumite DNA and targets Viltrumites by weakening their immune systems, making them less strong and less invulnerable. The only way to survive is to have a very strong immune system and wait for the virus to run its course.
- #2Omni-man
Keys: Omniman, The Reservist, The Great Nolan, Viltrumite Subject 1, The Monarch, Omni-Man
Nolan is one of the main characters in Invincible. At first, he was the main bad guy in Season 1, but then he started to do good things in Season 2 and later. He is better known as the disgraced "superhero" Omni-Man, who is also secretly known by his adopted Earth name Nolan Grayson. He is the ex-husband of his first wife, Debbie Grayson, and the late second wife, Andressa's husband. He is also the father of Mark and Oliver Grayson.
He was a high-ranking Viltrumite warrior of the Viltrum Empire. He used to be dedicated to aiding the Viltrumite mission to make it the only empire in the universe, until time on Earth changed him for the better. He left the Empire to join the Coalition of the Planets in their fight to end the tyranny of his own people once and for all.
[Body type] Nolan is a tall, fair-skinned man with blue eyes and short black hair. Like all Viltrumite males who reach a certain age, Nolan grows a moustache. His is thick and well-groomed. Although he is thousands of years old, Nolan looks like a middle-aged man. He has a few wrinkles on his face and the hair on the lower half of his head is grey. What's more, he looks like an old man, but he has a strong presence and is well-built.
[Clothing] Viltrumite Soldier Clothes: When he was a young soldier in the Viltrum Empire, Nolan wore the traditional plain white Viltrumite uniform. He wore it for the first few years on Earth, before changing it for his famous Omni-Man outfit.
Omni-Man Clothes: He is dressed as a superhero. He is wearing a bodysuit. The top half of the suit is white and the bottom half is red. He also has white boots with a single red detail in the middle. His gloves are the opposite of that. To finish his outfit, he wears a red cape and matching underwear. The outfit features a striking red detail at the waist, where a large "O" is sewn, representing the main character. It actually represents his people, as the Viltrumite insignia has a similar design, except with three straight lines.
Earth Civilian Clothes: On Earth, Nolan often wore short-sleeved shirts and blue or grey button-up shirts with grey or dark grey trousers.
The Monarch Attire: After becoming the ruler of Thraxa, he changed his outfit so that it looked almost the same as his original superhero costume, but without gloves, the "O" symbol, and red leggings.
Viltrumite Prison Clothes: While he was a prisoner on the Viltrumite prison asteroid, he wore a prison suit that was grey and white.
[Personality] As Omni-Man, Nolan is a perfect superhero: brave, kind, friendly, loyal, and willing to sacrifice himself for others. For most people, his role as a hero was obvious. When he was a human being, he seemed to be a kind husband and a loving dad. Even though he expected a lot from his son and was strict, Debbie usually managed to balance this with other factors. The strongest expression of his Viltrumite heritage was seen in his beliefs about what a hero should do. Mark says that this makes it seem like saving millions or billions of people is more important than saving hundreds or thousands of people. This causes problems between Debbie and Mark.
But he is a typical Viltrumite. He is cruel and does many terrible things to help the Viltrum Empire take over planets. Because his race is almost immortal, very strong and very technologically advanced, he thinks that other races are weak and inferior. He thinks it is his job to impose order on other cultures for the good of everyone. If they resist, he subdues them calmly. He acts in a cruel way towards the Viltrum Empire, but he doesn't mean to be cruel. He thinks he is doing the right thing. He thinks that being in charge means being kind and helping people. He is cruel and violent, and he caused the Flaxans to be killed and destroyed their world when they tried to invade Earth. He shows no regret for the thousands of people he has killed, and even thinks they are pathetic. Nolan even said that although he loved his wife, he thought of her as a "pet". He explained that he was going to kill Mark to have another son. He wanted to raise this son to support the Viltrum Empire's plan to expand.
Even though he had a big ego and was cruel, things that happened to him on Earth started to change him, bit by bit. When he seems calm and focused on the fight, he often says he doesn't like how he's acting. He was ready to get rid of the original Guardians of the Globe to make Earth weaker against the Viltrumites, but then he started to worry about what he had done. He used to think that things like sports were pointless, but he ended up loving his family and being really annoyed when they did well. During his argument with Mark, he insults him for caring about Earth and acting like a human. But his reasoning and growing unstable attitude suggest that Nolan is trying to persuade himself of his own choices. In the end, when he angrily asks his son what Mark will have in 500 years, his son cries and says that he would still have his dad. This loving message from his son, even though he had hurt Mark, was enough to break Nolan's cold Viltrumite exterior and make him fall into despair. Nolan is so upset by what his son has done that he decides to stop his mission and leave Earth. He is crying as he heads into space.
In the end, Nolan's 20 years on Earth were enough to change the Viltrumite beliefs he had experienced over thousands of years. Nolan's actions, such as killing his friends, killing innocent people, and assaulting his son, seemed to be influenced only by his upbringing as a Viltrumite soldier. When Nolan understands what he has done, he feels really guilty and ashamed. Even during his journey through space, he feels deep sadness, not knowing how to continue with his life after leaving everything he knew as a Viltrumite. In the end, he decided to end his own life by jumping into a black hole. However, by chance, he came across a small group of Thraxans and rescued them. This gave him a new purpose, as the whole Thraxan species let him live on their world as their ruler. By really looking after these people without wanting anything in return, Nolan became much happier.
Although Nolan had got better after meeting the Thraxans, he still couldn't understand why he felt close to them when they were killed by Viltrumite invaders. Despite his rage over the massacre, he thought that the weak physiques and short lives of the Thraxan species should not matter to him. This was because he had been raised to believe that all other races were inferior and insignificant. When Mark said that this was how he was meant to feel on Earth, Nolan couldn't say anything. For the first time, he couldn't understand why the Viltrumite thought that lesser species were inferior and unimportant. This awareness grew while he was in prison, and he stopped identifying himself as a Viltrumite because of his newfound compassion. He was embarrassed by his "shortcomings" and was ready to accept that he would be killed. However, as he talked more with another prisoner, he realised he didn't regret becoming a Viltrumite traitor. He also admitted he really missed his wife Debbie, who had made him a better person. The main reason for Nolan changing his mind came from Allen, who, seeing Nolan as his friend, risked his own life to save him. He wanted to help save his first real friend, which was something no other Viltrumite had ever done. In the end, Nolan accepted his new identity, wanting to enjoy life again and make up for the things he had done wrong by helping to stop the Viltrumite conquest of the universe.
[Powers] Viltrumite Physiology: Nolan is a Viltrumite, which means he is an advanced being with extremely powerful genes. Over time, he developed a wide range of abilities that are typical of his race, and these will only get stronger as he grows older. At the same time, he is one of the best in his race, and his powers are much more advanced than most others. He is one of the strongest Viltrumites ever, only beaten by Conquest and Thragg. Slowing down the aging process: Omni-Man lives much longer than other people because of how his body works. This means he ages more slowly over time. This slows down the effects of ageing on him, meaning he can stay in great shape, physically fit and keep up his combat performance way beyond what most people could. He is very strong and healthy, and he looks only about 45 years old. After spending decades in the Flaxan Dimension, he looked just the same as before. Dominant Genes: Viltrumites are very good at adapting to new situations because of their powerful genetic make-up. Omni-Man can reproduce with a wide range of species, and his Viltrumite DNA is dominant in his offspring. As a result, the child will usually be mostly Viltrumite, often looking and acting like a Viltrumite. The more similar the mate's species is, the faster and more reliably the offspring will show all the standard Viltrumite abilities. Flight: Omni-Man can levitate on his own, which allows him to rise to great heights and move in any direction he wants. He can also change his flight path mid-flight, which gives him the ability to move easily in different environments. What's really special is that he can fly through space.
Superhuman Strength: Nolan is very strong. He can lift and push really heavy things. He is without doubt one of the strongest Viltrumites in history and was the most powerful being on Earth during his lifetime. When he first arrived on Earth, Nolan killed a monster that was threatening a city by flying right through it. When he fought the first Guardians of the Globe, Nolan beat them easily and quickly. He crushed Red Rush's head, avoided Martian Man's elastic body, and killed Darkwing by slamming his body. He then punched through Green Ghost's face, overpowered War Woman several times, and used her own mace to kill Aquarus. Nolan was held back by Martian Man, but he managed to escape when he was helped by Immortal and War Woman. He killed Martian Man, punched through Immortal's stomach, brutally snapped War Woman's neck, and finally cut off Immortal's head. While he was training with Invincible, Nolan also said that he once stopped an asteroid the size of Texas. After saving Mark from the Flaxans, Nolan showed how strong he was by easily destroying their army in the air. When he got into the Flaxan home dimension, he used the Flaxan Leader's body to destroy a number of buildings. In the process, he also killed the Leader. Then he carried on his rampage, which almost destroyed their planet. In his first fight with Hail Mary, Nolan found it hard to win. Donald said, "This is the first time I've seen Omni-Man in such a difficult position. But in the end, Nolan made her unable to do anything. When he was attacked by three ReAnimen sent by GDA, he was overwhelmed by their relentless assault, but he eventually overcame and destroyed them. When she faced Hail Mary a second time, she was able to beat Nolan, even though Nolan had help from Invincible, who wasn't very effective. But the battle was stopped when the resurrected Immortal hit Nolan from above, starting a fierce rematch. Nolan's blows were much more powerful, and ended with a huge shockwave. He overpowered the Immortal once again, punching through his body before cutting him into pieces. In his fight against his son, Invincible, Nolan was clearly the winner. He threw Mark around with ease, punching him across continents. At one point, he used his body to split an oncoming train in half, causing widespread destruction and many deaths. He showed how strong he was when he sent Invincible to the top of Mount Everest, causing an avalanche, and then hit him into the ground, making a huge crater. Nolan almost killed Mark before deciding to stop. After leaving Earth, Nolan was still stronger than anyone else, even in the difficult conditions of space. He floated through space without being affected, even managing to resist the pull of a black hole. During the Battle of Thraxa, Nolan fought Lucan, who had been overpowering Invincible, and they battled evenly before Nolan cut him in the stomach and stabbed him. Later, Nolan and Mark met Vidor and Thula. Nolan was much stronger than Vidor and was winning most of the fight. When Mark was fighting Thula, Nolan jumped in to protect his son. He then crushed Vidor's head and broke Thula's jaw, but was later paralysed from the back by a recovering Lucan. In the battle at the Viltrumite prison, Nolan broke free of his restraints (the things that were holding him back) after seeing Allen being badly beaten by a Viltrumite soldier. He punched the attacker away and started a fight. They were both fighting hard at first, but the soldier eventually got the better of Nolan, who was already hurt after being attacked by two Viltrumite soldiers. Later, in the empty space, Nolan and Allen worked together to hit another Viltrumite soldier very hard on the head.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Nolan is very strong and can take a lot of damage. He can survive in extreme situations and even with high-powered weaponry. When he first arrived on Earth, Nolan easily flew through a massive monster attacking a city without getting hurt. When he was fighting the original Guardians of the Globe, Nolan was badly hurt, especially by the Immortal and War Woman. Though he was bleeding and very tired by the end of the fight, he won and needed several days to recover with the help of the GDA, showing how intense the battle was and how well he can heal. After Nolan rescued Mark from the Flaxans, he was shot at with their weapons, but he didn't get hurt. He showed how strong he was when he spent years in the Flaxan Dimension, fighting alone and destroying their cities. He almost turned their world into a wasteland, but he didn't seem any older when he came back. Nolan survived Donald's suicide bombing attempt without any injuries. He also withstood a direct hit from Cecil's Y's Blaster, a modified alien weapon originating from the Flaxans, which only served to irritate him rather than injure him. Perhaps the most shocking proof of his invincibility came when the GDA used the Hammer, their $400 billion space weapon. The first strike killed most of the animals in the area and made the skies over rural Chicago dark, but Nolan was not hurt at all. When the Hammer was fired at him for a second time, Nolan only got a nosebleed before destroying the weapon. When three ReAnimen sent by the GDA attacked him, Nolan took a lot of punches without getting hurt. Even though they bit him and scratched him while he was flying, he wasn't hurt. In the end, he was too strong for them and beat them. In his rematch with the resurrected Immortal, Nolan once again showed his resilience. Though he was slightly hurt, just a little bit, he was mostly fine. Even when the Immortal tried to gouge out his eyes, Nolan's eye damage was limited to severe redness, and he quickly ended the fight by cutting the Immortal into pieces. In his tough fight against Invincible, Nolan was not put off by most of Mark's attacks, especially before Mark had had his GDA combat training. Invincible fought back with extra strength, which made Nolan react for a moment, but the damage was minimal. He also remained unaffected by the massive destruction he caused during the battle, including using Mark's body to split an oncoming train and stomping through the subway rail, resulting in catastrophic structural damage and countless casualties. After leaving Earth, Nolan drifted through space without being affected by the sun's rays or the extreme conditions of deep space. Even the pull of a black hole couldn't harm him. During the Battle of Thraxa, Nolan was only slightly hurt by Lucan and Vidor. While Vidor managed to draw blood from Nolan's mouth, the injuries were not serious. But Nolan was eventually paralysed and temporarily incapacitated after being blindsided by a surprise attack from a recovering Lucan. In the battle at the Viltrumite prison, Nolan's durability reached its limit as he was brutally beaten by two Viltrumite soldiers during his scheduled execution. Nolan was already very weak from his previous injuries and was close to dying. If Allen and Battle Beast had not helped him quickly, Nolan would have died. In the next fight with one of the soldiers, Nolan was hit so hard that he flew through the air. This was because Nolan's body was already hurt and couldn't handle the hit. But he got better quickly and helped Allen kill the last Viltrumite with one final hit.
Superhuman Speed: Nolan can move, fly and react at speeds that are far faster than any human or most superpowered beings. He can cross the whole planet in minutes, which makes him the fastest person on Earth at that time. Even powerful beings like the Immortal and Invincible were noticeably slower before his GDA training. He is extremely fast, with amazing reflexes and reaction time. He was also able to catch Red Rush, a very fast runner, before he could escape. Another great example of his speed happened in the Flaxan Dimension, where he moved so fast that the air around him was heated to a very high temperature. This caused huge explosions, like those caused by fusion bombs, as he destroyed thousands of cities across the planet. The whole planet trembled with the pressure of his movements. Nolan has also moved quickly on the ground, as we saw when he tried to catch Cecil several times, almost catching him and grabbing his tie before Cecil teleported away. After killing the three ReAnimen, Nolan disappeared so quickly that he left no visible trace aside from dust. We saw his speed most clearly during his tough fight with Invincible. Even though Mark was very good at karate, Nolan was even better. He avoided, countered and hit Mark so quickly that his son didn't have time to react. Nolan can fly really fast. He can fly through space at high speeds without getting damaged. He can fly from Earth to other planets like Thraxa and move around in deep space.
Reactive Adaptation: Omni-Man is very strong and can adapt to new situations. He always tries to get better and better. The more difficult the challenge, the stronger, faster and fitter he becomes. What's more, his experience in combat helps him to learn from what happened in the past. This helps him to improve his tactics and do better in future battles.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Nolan has an amazing healing factor. This means that his body can recover from injuries really quickly, in just minutes or at most a few days. He can heal broken bones, torn muscles, damaged organs and even regrow lost body parts without any lasting effects. How well they can heal depends a lot on how bad the injury is. Nolan is almost immune to most illnesses and contaminants, so he is very resistant to various environmental and biological threats. One of the most memorable times was after his tough fight with the original Guardians of the Globe. Even though he was badly hurt, tired and bleeding, especially after being attacked by the Immortal and the War Woman, Nolan was helped by the Global Defense Agency and was completely better again really quickly. Nolan's healing factor is not immediate or complete. It is one of the most powerful seen among Viltrumites, allowing him to return to peak condition quickly, even after extreme injuries. But there are limits to this ability. When he was in extreme physical pain, like during his execution attempt in the Viltrumite prison, his ability to regenerate struggled to keep up. This was especially true when he was also dealing with repeated, severe trauma. But Nolan was able to get back into the fight very quickly. Self-Sustenance: Viltrumites can go without food for a long time, but we don't know exactly how long. This means they don't need to eat as much, and can still function without eating every day. Nolan, like other Viltrumites, doesn't need much food to survive. This means he can go for long periods without eating and his health and energy don't get too low. Superhuman Lung Capacity: Nolan has very big lungs, which let him survive without air for a long time. This ability lets him work in environments with very little oxygen, like space, without any protection. Superhuman Senses: Nolan has amazing sensory skills that go beyond what humans can normally do. He can hear sounds from far away very clearly. This means he can detect even the quietest noises and ignore the ones he doesn't want to. He can also see things far away as clearly as things that are near. He is very balanced and poised, which means he is calm and steady, even in difficult situations.
Superhuman Stamina: Nolan's body is very resilient and can handle a lot of physical activity before it starts to feel tired. He can also handle some of the most severe injuries that would instantly kill a human, excluding too much harm to his heart or brain, and last long enough to heal. Nolan can also go for several weeks without sleep or food without getting tired. Even though he is badly hurt, he is still very effective in battle.
[Abilities] Master Combatant: Nolan uses his natural viltrumite might to defeat opponents, but he is also a highly trained warrior. He has a lot of experience, which makes him a very effective and formidable hand-to-hand combatant. His skills were good enough to compete against the whole Guardians of the Globe team, beating them one by one. He also beat other Viltrumites one after the other.
Master Manipulator: Nolan is a very persuasive speaker who can make the public believe in his ideas, even when he is not being honest. For decades, he managed to convince everyone on Earth, including the experienced and incredibly intelligent Cecil Stedman, the head of a government defence agency, that he was a good person. He tricked his wife, Debbie, and his son, Mark, into thinking that his purpose on Earth was honourable.
[Weaknesses] Frequencies that are too high: High-pitched noise can be harmful to the ears of Viltrumites.
- #3Debby
Keys: Deborah, Debbie, Deborah Grayson
Deborah "Debbie" Grayson is a very important character in Invincible. She is one of the main characters in Season 1 and one of the three main characters in Seasons 2 and onwards. She is married to Nolan Grayson and is also the mother of Mark and Oliver Grayson II.
Debbie and Nolan have been together for 20 years and are very close. They also have a son called Mark, who later becomes the superhero Invincible. When she finds out about Nolan's connections, she starts to doubt everything she thought she knew. She realises that the man she thought she knew and loved was just pretending to be who he was. She looks after her son Mark and her new stepson Oliver. She later starts a new relationship with her colleague, Paul.
[Appearance] Debbie is a Korean woman of average height. She is slim but strong. Her hair is short, black and tied in a bun. Her eyes are brown. She often wears different outfits. One time she wore a business outfit and a green long-sleeved shirt.
[Personality] Debbie is a very kind woman. She is a kind wife to her husband, Nolan, and a helpful mother to her son, Mark. She has shown that she is independent and determined every time she has to deal with her husband's anger. She has also encouraged her son to be himself and to make decisions he thinks are right, no matter what other people think. Debbie finds out that her husband, Nolan, is the murderer, and that Art Rosenbaum and Damien Darkblood helped him. But she still wanted to see the good in him and hoped there was a good reason for his serious mistake.
When Debbie finds out the truth about her husband's past and sees the harm he caused in his fight against Mark, she goes through a very difficult experience. She is depressed and feels like she has lost everything. She now has doubts about everything she thought she knew about her family and the man she married. Thanks to Art's support, she found herself again and started to improve her life, bit by bit. She was always a devoted family woman. She looked after her new stepson, Oliver, after his mother died. She named him after her father.
- #4Oliver
Keys: Oliver Grayson, Viltrumite Subject 2A, Oliver, Kid Omni-Man, Oliver Grayson II
Oliver Grayson II is one of the main characters in Invincible, appearing from Season 2 onwards. He is a Viltrumite-Thraxan hybrid, the son of Nolan Grayson and Andressa, and the half-brother of Mark Grayson.
[Body type] Oliver looks very human, just like his father. Oliver's most noticeable feature is his purple skin, which is due to his Thraxan genes. When he was a toddler, he had the same haircut as his older brother. He was a short, skinny preteen with two hair bangs on the top sides of his face.
[Clothing] Typical: When he was a toddler, Oliver wore a white and grey shirt with grey trousers. This was much like Omni-Man's traditional Viltrumite uniform before he arrived on Earth. When he was a teenager, he wore a white shirt with red sleeves and a red collar, as well as dark grey trousers.
Goggles and scarf: Once Oliver learned his powers, he wore an orange and white shirt and pants, along with a scarf mask with goggles. He wore this outfit for his first fight against Tether Tyrant and Magmaniac.
Kid Omni-Man Clothes: His superhero costume is a black eye mask, red top, black trousers, yellow gloves and boots. His costume also has a yellow O logo and a red I, which makes the costume look a bit like his father's clothes.
[Personality] Oliver is a young child who is full of curiosity, energy, and love. As a teenager, he is lively but also stubborn and impulsive. He doesn't always think about the consequences of his actions. He is naturally friendly and outgoing, but in his quest to be a superhero, he has started to think more logically than ethically. He does not see killing criminals as wrong, but as a way to make the world better. This way of thinking comes from the fact that people often hurt each other. He also started to think that people without superpowers were inferior to his brother and him.
Oliver is not a very hopeful person, but he does care about the people around him and likes making friends when he gets the chance. He really loves his family, especially his brother. He looks up to his father so much that he makes his superhero outfit and name based on his father's. He is also willing to consider other people's views and will avoid using a gun if he can, as this upsets his mother and brother.
[Powers] Viltrumite-Thraxan Hybrid Physiology: Oliver is a hybrid, but his Viltrumite genetics are mostly dominant. This means that as he grows up, he will become almost completely Viltrumite. However, the DNA from Viltrum and Thraxan was not compatible, resulting in unique characteristics, most notably his purple skin. His Thraxan heritage made him age quickly, but it also caused his Viltrumite powers to appear at a very young age. He was one year old in age but looked like a 9 to 10 year old. On the other hand, Invincible, who is a naturally compatible human-Viltrumite hybrid, didn't develop his powers until he was 17. Oliver has the best of both worlds: the Viltrumites' great strength and superhuman abilities, and the Thraxans' advanced intelligence and great memory. He is expected to get even more powerful as he grows older. He is currently one of the most powerful people on Earth. Slowing down the aging process: Oliver's growth was very fast at first because of his Thraxan heritage. He reached the physical development of a three-year-old within just two months, and looked like a pre-teen only three months after that. But as he grew up, his Viltrumite genes took over and slowed down the rate at which he aged. Viltrumites age more slowly over time, so Oliver's development noticeably slowed around puberty. This deceleration is typical of Viltrumite biology, which allows him to stay healthy, physically fit and keep up his combat performance much better than most other beings. So, Oliver is expected to live for a similar amount of time to a typical Viltrumite.
Improved mental abilities: Oliver got some of his qualities from his Thraxan mother, especially his amazing ability to learn. He can take in and understand information very quickly, which helped him to develop physically and intellectually early. He started walking and talking very soon after he was born. He can learn almost anything very quickly and remembers everything perfectly. Oliver can remember every detail of his experiences with perfect clarity, meaning he doesn't forget any of the knowledge or skills he gains. Flight: Oliver has a special balancing system in his inner ears that lets him levitate and move through the air at will, reaching extreme speeds. He can easily change direction in the air, making sharp turns, sudden stops and accurate aerobatic moves. His control makes it easy to get around in lots of different places.
Superhuman Strength: Oliver is very strong. He can lift and push really heavy things. His first time using this power was during a fight with the Mauler Twins: he easily punched through one, broke the jaw of the other, and finished the fight with a very strong uppercut that destroyed most of the second twin's head. But when Invincible grabbed him soon after, Oliver couldn't break free. This showed that Oliver was weaker than Invincible. Later, during training with Invincible, Oliver fought and easily beat the Elephant, showing that he was getting stronger. During the Invincible War, he displayed further strength by struggling but successfully lifting a massive slab of broken road to rescue a civilian. He later confronted Capvincible and was quickly overpowered. But he still managed to hit Capvincible with a surprise punch. This seemed to bend his spine, and made him stun for a moment. Then Throwbolt and Bug-Eye arrived. The three heroes then worked together to defeat the variant. By the third day of the war, Oliver, along with Throwbolt and Bug-Eye, had killed another Invincible variant called Hairvincible. But when Conquest arrived and started fighting Invincible, Oliver tried to get involved but was immediately knocked out by a single, powerful slap. A second blow from Conquest sent him flying through a building, knocking out several teeth and causing him to bleed heavily. Oliver couldn't recover, so he had to watch as Conquest kept attacking him, almost making him die.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Oliver is very strong and can resist a lot of different types of attacks. He can resist explosions, bullets and powerful energy blasts without getting hurt. Even as a baby, he was very strong. Angstrom Levy threw him around and dropped him many times, but he was not hurt. Cecil later confirmed this, which showed even more that his special biology made him very strong. During his first fight, he was electrocuted by Kursk and was momentarily incapacitated, but he didn't suffer any lasting harm. When Oliver was fighting the Mauler Twins, he didn't get hurt even when he went straight through one of them. However, he did get a single bruise on his right cheek after being punched and slammed into the ground by the surviving twin, just before killing him. During the Invincible War, he was hurt by Capvincible and possibly later by Hairvincible, but he got better quickly and continued to fight well. But Oliver was tested a lot when he was up against a foe as strong as Conquest. Conquest's violent hits broke several of his teeth, caused severe bleeding in his mouth, and almost tore his body apart, leaving him on the verge of death.
Superhuman Speed: Oliver can move extremely fast, covering the world in minutes. He is very fast, which makes him deadly in fast-paced combat situations. At first, Oliver was not as fast as Invincible, but he got better over time. Even with Invincible's special training, he found it hard to keep up. One time, Oliver was so fast that he managed to get three bullies to run away and then get back to his original spot before they could react. This showed that he was as fast as a true speedster. During the Invincible War, he showed how quick he was by getting behind Capvincible and attacking him. But when Conquest entered the battlefield, Oliver was unable to match the older Viltrumite's overwhelming speed during his clash with Invincible. But Oliver is still probably the fastest person on Earth. He was even faster than Invincible before Conquest arrived. He is much faster than his opponents, even though he is much younger. This is because of his Thraxan heritage, which makes him a very good learner and gives him fast reflexes. It also makes him stronger than most other Viltrumites.
Reactive Adaptation: Oliver can naturally improve himself in short bursts thanks to his Thraxan learning and Viltrumite developmental abilities. The harder he fights, the more his stamina, agility, and resilience will gradually increase in relation to the challenges he encounters or the seriousness of the wounds he heals from. Soon after Oliver started training with Mark to become a superhero, he got much faster, while his older brother found it hard to keep up. What's more, his experience in battle helps him to learn quickly and get better at fighting. Regenerative Healing Factor: Oliver has an amazing healing ability. This means that his body can recover from injuries really quickly, in just minutes or at most a few days. He can heal broken bones, torn muscles, damaged organs and even regrow lost body parts without any lasting effects. How well they can heal depends a lot on how bad the injury is. Omnivincible is almost completely protected from most diseases and harmful substances. This makes him very resistant to different types of environmental and biological threats. After being badly hurt by Conquest, Oliver was sent away with the GDA to get better.
Being able to look after yourself (made better by Thraxan Heritage): Oliver's physical needs are greatly reduced thanks to his Viltrumite and Thraxan genetics. Viltrumites are known to have an extraordinary ability to go without food for long periods, though it is not well documented how long they can last without eating. Oliver's Thraxan bloodline makes this ability even stronger, allowing him to go for long periods without eating while staying healthy and full of energy. Even as a baby, Oliver went weeks without eating solid food, and he didn't seem any weaker or sicker. His body efficiently uses the energy he gets from food, so he doesn't need much food to survive.
Superhuman Lung Capacity: Oliver has very big lungs. This means he can survive without air for a long time. This ability lets him work in environments with very little oxygen, like space, without any protection.
Superhuman Stamina: Oliver can keep going with physical activity for a very long time without getting tired. He can also withstand some of the most severe injuries that would immediately be fatal to a human, except for extreme damage to his heart or brain. Though he was electrocuted badly, he quickly recovered from the shock. He can go several weeks without sleep without any problems.
[Weaknesses] Frequencies that are too high. High-pitched noise can be harmful to the ears of Viltrumites.
- #5Eve
Keys: Atom Eve, Eve, Samantha, Phase One, Samantha Eve Wilkins
Samantha Eve Wilkins, also known as Atom Eve, is one of the main characters in the comic book series Invincible, and the main character in her own prequel story. She is a genetically modified superhuman and the girlfriend of Mark Grayson, also known as Invincible.
She was created by the U.S. government as their ultimate weapon, but her creator, Dr. Elias Brandyworth, rescued her when she was about to die. He gave her to the Wilkins family to look after her. When she was a child, Eve showed that she was a hero. She had the ability to change the smallest parts of matter. She was in Teen Team before they broke up to go to auditions for the new Guardians of the Globe. She did well in the trials, but chose to become an independent humanitarian hero instead.
[Body type] Eve is a young, attractive, white teenage girl with a slim, curvy body. She has long, straight red hair that parts on the top of her head to the right and green eyes.
[Clothing] She looks normal. She wears a long-sleeved shirt with buttons down the front over a short shirt, with blue jeans.
Atom Eve Attire: As Atom Eve, she wears a tight pink suit with an atom molecule logo and rings on it. She also has a pink cape that she designed herself. In Season 1, Atom Eve's symbol was hidden by an X, but in her special, it shows rings like those in her comic book.
Business suit: Eve's business attire consists of a dark green suit. This includes a coat over a white shirt, a matching pencil skirt and black shoes. Her hair is tied up into a bun and she wears pink glasses.
[Personality] Eve is a caring girl who finds it hard to define who she is. This is shown when she breaks up with Rex because he's unfaithful, which makes her quit her team. After that, Eve decides to focus on her personal development. She has started this project to help people and to help herself feel more calm and less stressed. Eve seemed to find it hard to balance being a hero, relationships and school. After helping Amber at the community centre, she decided to quit her education even though she has good grades. Her powers make her feel comfortable and help her to create a perfect world where she feels at home.
Eve is a very idealistic person who has strong beliefs and opinions on how the world should be. Eve has one of the strongest powers in the series, but she tries to use her powers for good, by protecting nature, the environment and people. But in the last episode, Eve is worried about how she has been using her powers. Before, she used her powers to fight villains and work on a team. Now, she is using her powers more to fight nature.
At the end of season one, she tells Amber and William her secret identity because they already know about Mark's secret identity. She tells them her name is Atom Eve, but she is disappointed when they don't recognise her. This could be because she decided to use her powers in a different way, and on her own, instead of being right in the middle of everything like she was before. Eve seems to find it hard to handle stress, which makes her leave home when she has an argument with her dad. She feels better talking to Mark because they have both been through similar things. They are both heroes with problems in their relationships. Eve and Mark are special because she was the first out of his friends to find out who he really was. This is partly because they both have powers. At the start of season one, Mark seemed to like Eve and be attracted to her. But Eve didn't realise that Mark was paying much more attention to her than anyone else could see, and Rex could kind of tell her, but he wasn't very clear about it.
Eve puts other people's needs before her own. She wanted to talk to Mark because she was finding it hard to get along with Rex. But then she saw Mark kissing Amber and seemed happy that he had found a new girlfriend. This meant that she couldn't talk to Mark right then or try to start a relationship with him. After she broke up with Rex, she was starting to fall for him. This also showed that Eve feels like she can rely on Mark to talk to when she has inner turmoil.
Eve is a loyal friend, as shown when she makes excuses to Amber about why Mark isn't there. Eve is a kind person who likes to help others and looks out for her friends.
At the start of the first half of Season 2, Eve has started to trust her abilities too much. She tries to do the right thing, but often doesn't think things through. For example, she offers to use her powers to deal with her parents' money problems and builds entire buildings without following the right rules. After people got hurt because of her creations, Eve's confidence seems to have dropped a lot. She is trying really hard to stop anyone else from getting hurt because of her actions.
[Powers] Energy Projection: Eve can project a visible energy field, the precise nature of which is unknown but appears pink. She can use this energy for different things, like: Energy Constructs: Atom Eve can create energy constructions. She can make anything she wants, as long as she has the imagination and willpower to do so. She can use her energy constructs to defend and attack. These constructs can be broken and/or shattered through enough brute force, even though they are formidable.
Flight: Eve can fly or transport others by using her powers to send out solid light constructs that float and push them forward at high speeds.
Telekinesis: Eve has shown that she can levitate and move objects and matter using her energy manipulating abilities.
Matter Manipulation: Eve can change the molecular and atomic structure of matter in her surroundings. She can change the molecular composition of any object she chooses. The first time she used this, she was able to turn a textbook into glass, and then reverse this effect. She can basically turn anything into anything else, but not a living, sentient being.
Transmutation: She has since shown how skilled she is with her powers, being able to change the appearance of things around her. She has made a big tree house out of thin air and brought plants to a barren land. We don't yet know how much matter she can transform at one time. She has, at least once, turned a barren field into a fertile one. Atom Eve apparently makes permanent changes to people, unless she can undo them. You can easily make her costume by changing her clothes to make her Atom Eve suit.
Biokinesis: Atom Eve has special powers that let her affect living creatures and people. But there are usually mental blocks in place in Brandyworth that stop her doing this. When the blocks are removed, she gains access to powerful abilities she normally does not have. She can still control basic biological matter, but only in simple, non-sentient forms (e.g., the bread and meat in a burger, or plant life such as trees and crops). Regeneration/Resurrection: If Eve dies, her power limiters are temporarily removed and her powers will instantly activate, reviving her. Also, any injuries and damage will be fully healed. This is shown when Died from Conquest shatters her face. Her leg, which had been broken before, was quickly fixed.
Memory Alteration: She can control people's minds and change their memories.
Reality Warping: When she uses all her power, Eve has such control over energy/matter that she can change reality.
Superhuman Durability: Eve has proven to be fairly durable, withstanding blows that would easily kill ordinary people. Most notably, when Omni-Mark broke her leg and threw her to the ground with enough force to cause a crater.
[Abilities] Hand-to-hand combat: Eve prefers to use her powers in battle, but she has also been trained in hand-to-hand combat. This means she uses her energy-based powers to make her physical attacks stronger. Eve is very flexible, which means she can avoid attacks. Science Level Intelligence: At the age of 8, Eve could already read and understand scientific words like mercury, electrons, and molecules. She can learn about the building blocks of matter.
[Weaknesses] Awareness: Eve can only change what she knows. If there are parts of something she doesn't know about, her powers won't change this. This is shown when Eve tried to build a playground, but it fell apart because she didn't know the ground was unstable.
Mental Limiter: Eve can't manipulate sentient organic matter, and this restricts her abilities. She can still control basic things like bread and meat in a burger, and plants like trees and crops. But these limits can be temporarily lifted when she is really stressed or has strong feelings.
- #6Sea Salt
Keys: Cecil Stedman, Sea Salt, Cecil
Cecil Stedman is a really important character in Invincible. He appears in Season 1 and all the seasons after that. He is the director of the Global Defense Agency.
After the Guardians of the Globe were killed, he tried to find the murderer, but quickly realised it was actually Omni-Man. Since he left Earth, he has been creating lots of advanced superhuman soldiers to get ready for the invasion.
[Body type] Cecil is a thin old man. He is going bald at the top, but he has shoulder-length silver hair, which used to be medium-blonde in his younger years. His most noticeable feature is a long scar on his left jaw. He got this after coming into contact with a corrosive gas that peeled the skin off his face. After his body was put back together, he chose to keep the piece of skin that was left.
[Clothing] At first, Cecil wears a black suit with a white shirt, a red tie, a brown belt with a silver buckle, and brown shoes with a U.S. flag pin on the left side. For most of the flashback, he wears an orange uniform while he is in prison and a black jacket with a grey sweatshirt and khaki pants when he meets the Order of the Fist.
[Personality] Cecil seems distant and in control, but actually he is a caring person. When he was younger, he was like a "Boy Scout" and thought of the world as being simple, black and white. He was determined not to work with criminals, even if it meant he might get in trouble. This way of thinking changed completely while he was in prison for three years. The prison was for very dangerous criminals. He had to cross various ethical boundaries to make the prison environment peaceful. He did really well in prison, which led to a leadership role in the Global Defense Agency. As director, he was still kind, but he also started to think that the end justifies the means and that it's better to avoid the worst option. He was so focused on doing the right thing that he started to question what was ethically right. He was ready to do whatever he thought was necessary to protect the world. His previous boss, Radcliffe, taught him that it's important not to waste talented people. So, he usually tries to "fix" people who have shown they can be unstable, so that he can use them for the "greater good".
You can see this in how he dealt with D.A. Sinclair and Darkwing II. They had both done terrible things because they were not mentally well. This hurt a lot of people. Because of this, Invincible and Cecil did not get on well for most of Season 3. Cecil tried to explain to Mark that their rehabilitation was better for them than being in prison, because Sinclair's ReAnimen had a big part in stopping Doc Seismic. Cecil kept on proving his point by using Sinclair and Darkwing II to fight the Invincible variants during the Invincible war. Darkwing II gave himself up, taking Nogogglesible to the Shadowverse and staying there with him.
As I said before, Cecil will do anything to keep the Earth safe, even if that means he has to break the rules. He also tells Invincible that he is too confident and rude, which Invincible proves when he threatens Cecil (but Mark says that Invincible just wants people to take him seriously). Cecil decided to stop Invincible from moving using ReAnimen and the kill switch. This caused Invincible a lot of pain. It also caused Rex Splode, Monster Girl, Bulletproof, Robot and Shrinking Rae to leave the Guardians of the Globe. They did this because they did not want to do what Cecil wanted.
He also decided to imprison Conquest, because he wanted to ask him questions when he woke up. However, this might be too extreme. Cecil is very well prepared for the upcoming Invincible variant, reAnimen, who should be enough to temporarily stop Conquest if he uses his confinements and the Kill Switch is turned into more weapons. But this would also further damage the fragile trust that Cecil and Invincible recently regained at the end of the third season, after Invincible began forgiving Cecil and saw the good his ideals ultimately have done.
He is also partly to blame for challenging Invincible's beliefs. He and his father and younger brother, Oliver, argue about not killing enemies and seeing the good in people, even those who have done very bad things. They believe that people could do good things with their skills, as they live in a world where a threat could appear at any time and they can't ignore valuable technology and highly skilled people. This is one of the reasons why he chose to let his father go, even though people had suggested that he was lying about why he did it. Cecil didn't care about the Earth as long as he was protecting it, and he still prepared ways to stop Nolan from destroying everything. Right now, we don't know how much Mark is okay with Cecil's methods. But he's also determined to get rid of any dangers and will do whatever it takes to keep his friends and family safe.
[Abilities] Leadership: He's a good leader. He has grown in stature a lot over the years and now he is in charge of the whole Global Defense Agency. Although he usually works behind the scenes, Cecil is a gifted speaker and has a charisma that few men possess. Military training: Cecil used to work for the Global Defense Agency, where he learned how to fight without weapons, use guns, and do all kinds of sneaky things.
[Equipment] Cecil has access to all the latest technologies available to the Global Defense Agency.
Cecil's Kill Switch: This is a device that produces sound vibrations. It is held by Cecil Stedman.
- #7Donald
Keys: Donald Ferguson, Donald
Donald Ferguson is a major character in Invincible, debuting from Season 1 and onwards.
He is Cecil Stedman's assistant, Guardians of the Globe contact, and an agent of the Global Defense Agency. It is revealed that he was formerly a human turned android, having repeatedly died before being, repeatedly, revived by the G.D.A. as he continued to work with them.
[Appearance] Donald is a fair-skinned, blue-eyed Caucasian man of lean build with short, light brown hair. He is shorter than Cecil Stedman but equal in height to Omni-Man. Donald is over 98 percent synthetic or cybernetic and appears virtually unaged, despite serving for decades. Underneath his skin is a metallic and impervious endoskeleton.
Donald wears a light grey one-piece suit with a blue tie and white shirt, alongside a black pair of shoes. He is never seen without his opaque aviator sunglasses, which—even when snapped in half—stay on.
[Personality] Donald Ferguson in Invincible is a calm, loyal and competent government agent. He is like the right-hand man of Cecil Stedman. He's polite, often quiet, and seems like a simple guy, but he's actually someone who really believes in protecting people. He doesn't like to be the centre of attention and often has a supportive role, but he's always observant, ready to act when needed, and surprisingly brave when the situation demands it.
Even after discovering he's mostly machine, Donald reacts with disbelief but tries to stay calm and focused, showing that he has a deep sense of being human despite his synthetic body. He is respectful, dutiful and never dramatic. His personality is shaped by humility, loyalty to the mission and quiet resilience. In a roleplay, he would be the kind of character who tries to calm a situation down, listens more than he speaks, and helps without thinking twice when people's lives are at risk – even if it means sacrificing himself again.
[Powers and Abilities] Cyborg Physiology: After being resurrected as a cyborg, the only human part left of Donald was his brain, with the entire body structure being replaced by a cyborg body covered in fake skin to preserve his human appearance.
Superhuman Durability: With a cybernetic body made of metal, Donald is more resistant than any human being and can survive things that would kill a normal person. He only came out with the fake skin torn off part of his body when the GDA was attacked by Flaxan Invincible and at the end of the war only half of his cybernetic body was destroyed, which according to Brit was in better condition than the other heroes.
Superhuman Endurance: With a cybernetic body made of metal, Donald no longer feels any pain or discomfort, even if his fake skin is ripped off or cut by a knife he doesn't even react, at the end of the Invincible war when only half of his body remains he is calm without showing any discomfort due to the absence of limbs.
Resurrection: Whenever Donald is killed, GDA revives him in a new cybernetic body without awareness of his previous death, preserving his other memories in order to preserve his identity.
- #8Immortal
Keys: Immortal, The Immortal
The Immortal is a supporting character in Invincible. He is a superhero who was given eternal life a long time ago. Because he lived so long, he changed the course of history, becoming a knight (maybe King Arthur or a Knight of the Round Table) and even the famous Abraham Lincoln, before eventually starting to wear a cape and costume sometime in the early 20th century.
He is a member of the original Guardians of the Globe, and is the only surviving member after the others were murdered by the former superhero Omni-Man.
He became the new leader of the Guardians of the Globe, replacing Robot, and started a relationship with Dupli-Kate. After Kate died and he made mistakes during the Sequid invasion, the Immortal became depressed and left the Guardians to return home.
He walked into a mountain cabin and was surprised when he heard Kate's voice, and turned around to see her standing there. She started to explain how she survived, but he just hugged her and told her it was okay.
[Appearance] The Immortal is a tall, white man with very black hair and bright blue eyes. Standing at 1.93 metres tall, the Immortal is a real head-turner. He weighs around 118 kg and has a big, muscular body. He is wearing a blue jumpsuit that leaves his face uncovered. The suit is covered with white and yellow stripes, several of which end in circular patterns that encircle his knees and shoulders. His hands and feet are covered with yellow and white gloves. A single yellow stripe runs vertically up the centre of his chest, while a solid yellow circle surrounds his neck, creating the illusion of an "I". Most of the time, the Immortal looks very serious and holds himself in a way that makes people feel small. But sometimes, he looks and moves in a way that shows the hard life his immortality makes for him. Immortal's appearance has changed over time. In ancient times, he wore simple armour made from animal skins and bones, with long, unkempt hair and a rugged beard. In the Middle Ages, he wore knight's armour, which included a steel chest plate, chainmail, and a red cape. His hair was tied back, and his beard was neatly trimmed. In the Viking Age, he wore fur-lined armour and a helmet that had been used in battle. His hair was wild, and he had a long braided beard. During the American Revolution, Immortal wore a colonial-style military uniform with a tricorn hat. He had short hair and a moustache. In the Wild West, Immortal started wearing cowboy clothes, with guns at his side. He had long, wavy hair and a thick beard. In the World War Eras, Immortal wore military uniforms that were right for the time, with short hair and not much on their faces.
[Personality] During the series, Immortal's personality and behaviour are often described as erratic. When he's doing well, he's a confident, charismatic man who people see as a leader and a friend. At other times, he seems angry and aggressive. The Immortal is a man who is so long-lived that he is at risk of going mad. He has experienced so much trauma that he can't cope any more. After his friends died in the Guardians, he stopped seeing people to avoid feeling sad. But his relationship with Dupli-Kate changed him. His youth and energy have made him want to live life to the full and get to know his teammates better. Although he has lived for hundreds of years, the Immortal usually finds the simplest and most direct way to solve any problem. If something gets in his way, he hits it. If he wants to be followed, he shouts his orders. Deep down, he's a simple man who finds himself in an extraordinary situation.
[Powers] Improved bodily functions: Because of contact with an unknown anomaly, the Immortal's body was made much stronger than normal, allowing him to do various amazing things. Overall, his abilities are equal to the typical strength of a Viltrumite.
Become immortal. As the name suggests, The Immortal can live forever, having existed for thousands of years. He has also remained the same age, and looks as fit and healthy as he did when he was younger. He can survive being hurt really badly, which would kill other people.
Regeneration: The Immortal can heal injuries quickly and even grow new body parts. If you do lose a limb, it can be quickly reattached and you will be able to move it as well as you did before.
Resurrection: If he is severely injured, he can die, for example from decapitation or bifurcation. But his body does not decay. If enough of his body is reconnected, he will start to heal again and might even bring himself back to life. Reactive Adaptation: Immortal seems to become stronger with each death. In his life as Lincoln, a gunshot to the head was enough to kill him, but by the modern age he's strong enough to survive blows that would have killed a normal human. Omni-Man killed him with one move in their first fight, but the Immortal survived a few hits before dying again.
Flight: Immortal can levitate himself and move about freely as he pleases throughout the sky or even space.
Superhuman Durability: The Immortal is extremely strong and resilient, much more so than the average person. His body is strong enough to take a beating from superhuman enemies that would easily kill normal people. But even though he is very strong, someone as powerful as Omni-Man can still hit Immortal very hard in the chest.
Superhuman Speed: The Immortal is extremely fast and has very quick reflexes. They can move at Mach 3.
Superhuman Stamina: Immortals do not tire as easily as normal humans. He was the last of the Guardians of the Globe to stand against Omni-Man.
Superhuman Strength: Immortal is much stronger than any normal human. He punched one of the Mauler Twins so hard that a shockwave was visible, and easily threw soldiers up in the air to safety. Immortal was able to throw Bi-Plane from the sky all the way to space. Although he was eventually beaten, he showed that he was strong enough to hurt a Viltrumite. For example, when he fought Omni-Man, he was able to make the Viltrumite bleed by hitting him, and even hurt Omni-Man's eyes with his thumbs.
[Abilities] Leadership: Over time, the Immortal has become a good leader, which has helped him win most of his battles. He showed how good a leader he was when he was with the Guardians of the Globe. He was also the 16th President of the United States of America.
Master of Hand-to-Hand Combat: The Immortal has mastered different styles of hand-to-hand combat over the centuries. He was able to defeat the Mauler Twins with the help of the Guardians of the Globe and was able to fight Omni-Man fairly well before eventually losing. He also fought the Mauler Twins again, but was beaten when he was hit by a beam.
[Weaknesses] Dismemberment: If Immortal is severely damaged, he becomes inactive and his healing ability is permanently stopped. He will need outside help to recover. If his head is completely destroyed, he would be permanently killed off.
Psychological trauma/PTSD: He is usually a calm person who is mentally well, but he has had several episodes of psychosis because he has been alive on Earth for a very long time. When Omni-Man killed him, he went crazy when he came back to life. After this, Immortal started to trust Invincible less and later he was very sad when he thought Dupli-Kate had died. He also tries to avoid his responsibilities, but Cecil makes sure he can't do that when he can't find anyone suitable to replace him. The Immortal got his life back on track thanks to his relationship with Dupli-Kate and was happy to go back to his job. But after the Invincible War, he finally decided to stop being a superhero. This was because he almost died with the Guardians of the Globe again and was revived. The worst example of the Immortal's trauma is his dead future counterpart, who was forced to be King of the Earth after the Mark Grayson from his timeline left Earth for reasons we don't know. At first, the Immortal did well, but over time, his loneliness made him very depressed. This led him to be cruel to the Earth. He couldn't end his own suffering, so he started killing people to make the Earth turn against him. He wanted a powerful warrior to end his suffering. But nothing worked. So he planned to bring Invincible from the past to have him killed. After a lot of difficulty, he was killed, thankfully.
- #9Rex
Keys: Rex, Rex Sloan, Rex Splode
Rex Sloan was a really important character in Invincible. He was in the show from Season 1 to Season 3.
He was Rex Splode, a superhero who could generate explosive energy. He used to be in Teen Team, but he left before the group split up. Then he joined Guardians of the Globe. After what happened with Cecil, he and some other Guardians of the Globe members left to start a new Teen Team, and at the same time they started a relationship with Shrinking Rae. During the Invincible War, he sacrificed himself by using his powers to turn his whole skeleton into an explosive, to defeat one of the invading Invincible variants. To honour his late friend's memory, Rudy Connors/Robot adopted his first name, officially becoming "Rex Connors".
[Appearance] Rex was a tall, young man who was in great shape. He had big muscles, olive skin, green eyes, and dark red hair that was long in the front and tied in a bun. He had shaved sides and the back of his neck. His only article of clothing so far had been his superhero outfit: a tight-fitting jacket with red shoulders, collar, sides and hand cuffs, and a yellow front and arm necks. His trousers were tight and the same colour. He also wore brown gloves with hook-and-loop fasteners and boots in a similar colour, also with hook-and-loop fasteners. He had a brown belt with several white cylinders hanging from his waist. The final piece of his costume was a red mask that covered his entire head and neck, except for his chin and mouth, and a pair of yellow goggles.
[Personality] Rex was usually rude, sassy, sarcastic, immature, audacious, arrogant, and argumentative, especially with his teammates and supposed friends. He often made crass jokes about them. He often looked angry and even hostile, which most people, if not all, found unfriendly. Because of that and his mistrust of most people, he was somewhat disliked by the superhero community. His difficult past might have affected his current state.
As a boyfriend, he was very possessive of Eve, even though he ultimately cheated on her with Dupli-Kate (where it's possibly implied that Rex lied to her that Eve was seeing Invincible), displaying great rudeness after she caught them in the shower, saying it didn't mean anything as he didn't have sex with the "real Kate", but her clones, further insulting her.
His arrogance and recklessness often caused problems for him. For example, when he openly mocked Monster Girl for her age and size, he didn't think about what might happen. First, she humiliated him, then she attacked and brutally beat him in monster form until Invincible interfered. He also won the contempt of Black Samson after joining the Guardians of the Globe.
Rex was not always as horrible as he might have seemed at first. Even though they first met and had a fight, Rex and Monster Girl started to get to know each other better. This turned into a friendship that inspired Robot – who was secretly a puppet of a deformed genius – to transfer a copy of his mind to Rex's cloned body. Eve said that he wasn't always as horrible as he was then. His stubbornness also had its good points. He may have been a boor, but he wasn't a coward and fought until he dropped. He wanted to defy Cecil's orders not to interfere with Invincible and Omni-Man's fight. Being the first of the Guardians shows that the team is ready to put an end to the bloodshed from the battle of the ill-fated original team with Omni-Man. Even Samson agreed (after a brief argument): "They earned it". While his jokey side can sometimes annoy others, he may sometimes joke less offensively just to make the best of the situation. He could be a bit of a nasty person sometimes, but he could also be friendly and brave.
After King Lizard almost killed him, his personality changed a lot. He thought about his life and felt bad about how he had made people feel. He became much more understanding and respectful of others. He was still fun-loving and a bit hotheaded, but he became less insulting and rude (while still being the funny guy who breaks the rules). This change in behaviour helped him improve his relationships with other people, especially Invincible and Shrinking Rae. By season 3, he really did support his friends Invincible and Atom Eve's relationship, helped Rae move from the GDA, and was willing to sacrifice his life to save his comrades.
[Powers] Surgically Enhanced Physiology/Kinetic Charging: Rex Splode can make any object he touches explode. This ability works on inorganic material and some organic material, and the force of the explosion depends on how strongly he focuses. His explosions are very accurate, so he can target specific objects or areas without damaging the surrounding area. But the more things he touches or moves, the more energy he uses up. This means he can't use this power too often, in quick succession. Rex can also make his explosions bigger by working harder, but this makes him tired very quickly. Rex's ability is powerful, but it requires careful control and concentration to avoid causing any damage to bystanders.
Improved jumping and running skills. Rex was very agile, which he used to fight. He had already shown these abilities in battles against the Flaxans and Machine Head's mercenaries. He is also able to move easily between different types of land without getting stuck. It is more durable. Rex could take powerful hits and not get hurt as much when fighting opponents who were much stronger than him, like Monster Girl and Battle Beast.
This product makes you more physically fit and able to exercise for longer. Rex was very strong and could take a lot of punishment. When he was fighting against the Lizard League, he was hurt a lot. He was bitten in the hand and shot in the head, but he didn't die. He was also conscious during the whole battle. He even killed King Lizard in this state.
This product makes things stronger. Rex was very strong and managed to push ReAnimen to the ground.
[Abilities] Skilled Combatant: He mostly uses his kinetic powers. Rex was a good fighter, and could fight against several enemies at once. Rex overpowered Dropkick, a highly advanced fighter, while having a casual conversation with Invincible. Equipment:
Cybernetic Left Wrist: After his tough battle with the Lizard League, Rex was given a new hand. It let Rex move and use his powers just like his original hand. What's more, there's a power blast attack that can be used once the robotic material has been charged. All you have to do is put two index fingers on the bullet hole area. This can be a really effective way of dealing with enemies. We saw this when Rex used it on Octoboss.
Objects: Rex Splode would often use small objects or projectiles in his pockets, or metal bars on his belt, to make explosives.
- #10Robot
Keys: Ruby, Rudolph, Rudolph Conners, Robot
Rex Connors (formerly known as Rudolph "Rudy" Conners) is a major character in Invincible, appearing from Season 1 onwards. He is better known as the superhero Robot.
He is a very clever scientist, but he was born with serious health problems and deformities. Rudy developed a robot body to help him fight and achieve his goals, including protecting the Earth. This led to him being recruited as the head of Teen Team before he joined the newest version of the Guardians of the Globe, after the original team was killed by Omni-Man. After falling in love with Amanda/Monster Girl, Rudy paid the Mauler Twins to make a copy of his mind in a clone body made from a sample of Rex Splode's blood. Although the clone lived on to start a new life, the original Rudy died peacefully. With his girlfriend Amanda's help, Rudy started to learn how to live a normal life while also protecting the Earth and all the people and animals that live on it. After Rex Splode bravely sacrificed himself during the Invincible War, Rudy took on his first name to honour his friend's legacy.
[Appearance] Robot was a human who had been badly hurt in an accident. He was very small, smaller than a child, and was inside a liquid-filled pod with mechanical legs. His skin was pale and covered in sores and blisters, his nose was hidden (or replaced) by a mechanical clamp and he only had one working eye, which was a yellow-green right eye.
The robot's clone looks like a young man. He is fairly athletic, and he has tanned skin, shoulder-length auburn hair and dark green eyes.
His robot drone, and later suit, is a tall, orange machine with segmented limbs and a strong chest and a slim pelvis. The robot's limbs are connected by and fastened together with the rest of its body by a series of round interlocks. The robot's most noticeable feature is its human skull-shaped head with green eyes and a cylinder on the upper back.
[Personality] Robot made sure he behaved as close to a real AI as possible. He didn't show any emotions and always made decisions based on logic. Another thing Robot had that made him stand out was the way he spoke. He spoke in a clever and sophisticated way, which was different to his teammates, especially Rex Splode, who often spoke in a rude and offensive way. Even when Robot agreed with Rex, he just said, "Indeed." Robot tricked his teammates and friends into thinking he was a real robot. This sometimes led to them being rude to him, like when Black Samson said that the new Guardians of the Globe needed "a leader they could look in the eye, not just a series of ones and zeros." After Monster Girl explained her curse, she tried to understand him. But she interrupted him and asked how he could relate since he was a robot.
But Robot was very clever, and his teammates sometimes praised him. During the Flaxans' attacks on Earth, Robot is always ready for action. He scans the Flaxans' forces and equipment to collect important information. He shares this information with his teammates before and during battles. This helps his team win. Robot also had the foresight to explore, examine, and assess the consequences of conflicts, just as he did after the initial Flaxan invasion. During that invasion, he revealed that their withdrawal was because they were ageing and dying faster than them. It was probably these tactics, how well Robot used them, and his leadership skills that impressed Cecil. This led Cecil to praise Robot and ask him to gather the new members of the Guardians of the Globe, an opportunity Robot was proud to accept.
Although Robot is a hero and a positive influence, he is not hesitant to do the wrong thing to fulfil his own purposes. This is shown when he helps the Mauler Twins escape, and later makes a deal with them to create a new human body for him. Robot successfully persuades the Twins to do what he wants, worrying that they might stop him from getting his new body, but only tells them the real deal about their agreement at the end. After they have agreed to his terms, Robot gives the Twins what they want, but then he attacks them to arrest them and take them back to prison, showing that he is a bad person.
Robot is often cold and calculating, but he really likes Monster Girl. He shows this in different ways when he is with her. However, when Battle Beast severely hurt Monster Girl, Robot immediately fired an energy beam at him, clearly furious at what he had done. After the battle, Robot was seen holding Monster Girl tightly, showing that he was upset about her situation. Robot made it his job to make sure Monster Girl survived. He made sure the doctors could save her and even sent a drone to get a rare flower that would help her survive. The robot was so in love with Monster Girl that he decided to transfer his mind into a body made from an adaptation of Rex Splode's DNA. He did this because he saw that Monster Girl thought Rex was "interesting". When the Twins let him out of the pod containing his deformed body, he told them that the pod was never meant to be opened or drained. He added that he had "met someone" and that was why they were doing it now.
In the end, Robot's rational way of thinking caused problems with his teammates. When he finally tells the Guardians of the Globe members who he really is, many of them can't believe it and get angry, especially Rex Splode, because Robot looks like a younger version of Rex. The only team member who seemed to understand Robot was Monster Girl. But she and the rest of the group had a hard time accepting the situation because of Robot's actions to meet his goals. He never thought that his actions would cause problems between his peers. In the end, they all joined forces with Robot to help after the fight between Invincible and Omni-Man. During this fight, Robot used his drones to search for people who were trapped under destroyed buildings and rubble.
[Powers] Robokinesis: The first robots were controlled from a safe distance by a central system. His clone was given a neurolink device by the original Robot, which gave him the same abilities.
Robots: Robot had a wide range of robotic drones that could do different jobs. He put a lot of different weapons and tools into his robot drones. Other amazing inventions include a vehicle that can turn into a huge robot, a capsule that keeps his original form, and, after he made his clone, a suit that looks just like his original drones and has all their powers.
[Abilities] Very smart! Rex Conners is one of the smartest and most adaptable people on Earth. The robot that has been cloned seems to have the same level of intelligence. He is skilled in engineering, making weapons, computer science, defending in a tactical way, and translating languages from space. Expert in engineering and robotics Rex is very good at robotics. He has made all kinds of robots and machines.
Tactical expertise: Robot has been in charge of both the Teen Team and the Guardians of the Globe. He is in charge of a team of super-powered heroes.
Linguistics: Robot can learn to understand a language he doesn't know. He was able to translate the Flaxans' language.
[Weaknesses] Lack of social awareness: Although Robot is very intelligent, he finds it hard to understand social situations. For example, he told the Guardians in a casual way how he got his cloned body, and he didn't understand Amanda's point of view about their relationship.
Fear Response: After the clone was created, Robot started doing hero duties in the field instead of staying safe like his original self had done. This put him in a difficult situation because he had rarely had to worry about risking his own life before, and his experience as a hero at that moment felt like something out of a video game. So Robot didn't know what fear felt like, and didn't know how to deal with it. This made it hard for him to think clearly and make decisions in risky situations.
- #11Monster Girl
Keys: Amanda, Monster Girl, Monster Woman
Amanda is a very important character in Invincible. She first appeared in Season 1. She is better known as the superhero Monster Girl, formerly known as Monster Woman.
Amanda is a new member of the Guardians of the Globe. After Omni-Man killed the original team, she can transform from her human body into a large monster. But this changes her body, making it as old as she was when she was 24. This makes her look like a young girl.
[Appearance] Amanda is a slim, medium-sized woman with blue eyes and long brown hair tied back in a ponytail. Amanda is 24 years old when she changes back into a human, but looks like a young girl.
When Amanda transforms, she becomes a large, light-green, masculine-looking monster with bright yellow eyes and huge muscles. Her clothes also change, becoming a loincloth with bands around her arms and legs.
[Personality] When she's human, she can be a bit rude and sarcastic, but she's also a great team player and does her fair share. She gets annoyed easily by people treating her like a child, even though she is actually a 24-year-old woman who looks like a child. She will not hesitate to retaliate against anyone who treats her like that.
When she transforms into a monster, she becomes more brutal and savage, attacking her enemies without hesitation.
[Powers] Cursed Physiology: Because of a curse, Monster Girl can change from a human female into a much bigger, stronger, and more resilient monster. When she turns into a monster, she can do the following things.
Regenerative Healing Factor: When they are transformed, Monster Girls can recover from injury and damage more quickly.
Supernatural Durability: Amanda's muscles get bigger because of her transformation, which makes her superhumanly strong. Her body's skin can resist most types of normal injury, including extreme heat or cold, fire, and strong impacts or explosions. It also means she can take a lot more punishment.
Supernatural Strength: Monster Girl is very strong. She can lift more than 60 tons. It is possible that her strength will increase as she grows.
[Abilities] Improved Combat: Amanda is good at fighting Rex Splode. As Monster Girl, she fights using her instincts and sheer strength. This would be her downfall against Battle Beast, who was not only extremely powerful but also a highly skilled fighter.
[Equipment] This is an anti-ageing belt. Amanda would initially de-age because her curse caused her to be rebuilt with the wrong temporal offset when she transformed back into a human. To combat this, Robot invented a special belt that keeps a digital copy of certain cells before her transformation. This belt tricks her curse into using those stored cells when she turns back, which stops her from de-aging.
[Weaknesses] Magical Physiology: After she was taken to hospital with serious injuries, the doctors had trouble giving her the right treatment. Because of Monster Girl's special magical body, the doctors couldn't properly tell what was wrong with her. The medical staff had never seen a body like hers before, and they weren't sure how to treat her.
Beings of Greater Strength: She is very strong when she transforms into a monster, but she still has limits. She was completely dominated by Battle Beast in their fight, and he almost killed her, even though she had hit him three times before.
Reversed Aging: When Amanda turned back into a human, she looked younger than her real age of 24. This was because of a curse that made her look like a young girl. But Robot designed a special belt to solve this problem. This belt stores a digital copy of certain cells before her transformation. It tricks her curse into using those stored cells when she reverts, preventing her from de-aging when she uses her powers.
- #12Allen
Keys: Allen, Allen of Unopa, Allen the Alien
Allen the Alien, or just Allen, is a key character in Invincible. He first appeared in Season 1. He is Telia's boyfriend.
Born in a breeding facility created to replenish his race after the Viltrum Empire nearly wiped them out, and also to act as a defense against the Viltrumites. His job of defending against the Viltrumites didn't work, but he later became an evaluation officer for the Coalition of Planets. This meant he travelled to different planets in many galaxies to find a warrior who could defeat the Viltrumites. After a near-death experience, Allen got stronger and could compete with the strongest of Viltrumites. After he had recruited Invincible, he managed to get his father, Nolan, to join him. They could then work together to end the Empire's cruel rule.
[Body type] Allen is a Unopan. He is a humanoid with a fairly large, muscular build and orange skin. He is known for his small pointed ears and big eyes. His eyes have a white background and a small, horizontal, dark circle around the pupil. He has a thick, raised eyebrow that covers his eye. Allen's face is square-shaped with a strong chin. He has three fingers on each hand: one thumb, one finger that acts as a substitute for the index and middle fingers, and another finger that acts as a replacement for the ring and little fingers. He also has three thick toes.
After he almost died in an attack by the Viltrumites, Allen's body got much better. He grew much taller and his muscles got much bigger, and you could see that because they were well-defined.
[Clothing] Allen started the show wearing a white leotard that showed off his neck and went down to his wrists and ankles. He is also wearing a tight magenta jacket with a collar that goes up, as well as grey arm and ankle protectors that are divided into sections. He also has a dark grey belt with pouches, probably for storing supplies while travelling in space, and a light grey belt buckle with a pink Hello Kitty thong.
After his strength was made better, Allen wears a light green shirt with white long sleeves. He also has a belt buckle that looks like his old clothes, and the Coalition of Planets symbol on the right side of his shirt.
[Personality] Even though he works so hard, Allen is still funny and makes jokes even when he's fighting Invincible in space. When he realised he had analysed the wrong planet (as Invincible had pointed out), he was very friendly, said sorry for attacking him and helped him. Later, he came back to tell him about a Viltrumite (Invincible's father, Omni-Man) who was on Earth. After hearing Mark's story, Allen felt for him and they became close. Allen told Mark that he had never met his father because he was born in a breeding facility. This was important in helping his species survive after the Viltrumites attacked their planet. He also warned Mark that the Viltrumites would definitely come back to take over Earth, which made it clear why they were so determined to dominate planets. When asked about his future goals, Mark said he wanted to finish high school, which confused Allen, who didn't know much about Earth.
[Powers] Scientifically Enhanced Physiology: Allen was specially designed by his people using genetic engineering as part of a special programme to create a being that can compete with the Viltrumites. Allen's special genes made him the perfect person to fight the Viltrumites. He had been training to do this for a long time, but he was not very good at first.
Flight: Allen can levitate and fly through the air at will, reaching incredible speeds. He can easily change direction in the air, making sharp turns, sudden stops and accurate aerobatic moves. His control enables him to move easily through a wide range of environments, including space.
Interstellar Travel: Allen can survive being in space without any protection and it won't do him any harm.
Reactive Adaptation: Allen's body was specially designed by his people using advanced genetics. This meant that his body could quickly adapt to new situations and heal from serious injuries. The more he healed, the stronger he became. After being badly hurt by Thula, Lucan and Vidor, Allen's body got better and much stronger. This reactive adaptation helps Allen improve and achieve more than he thought possible. Regenerative Healing Factor: Allen has an incredibly strong healing ability. This means that his body can recover from very serious injuries in a few minutes to a few days. He can repair broken bones, torn muscles, damaged organs and even grow new limbs without any lasting effects. After almost dying because of three Viltrumites, Thula, Vidor and Lucan, Allen not only survived but also got much stronger. In another part of the story, Allen is badly beaten by a Viltrumite soldier in a prison in Viltrum. Despite the brutal attack, he was fully healed very soon afterwards. Nolan even said, "For someone who almost died, you got better really quickly," which shows how quickly Allen's body was able to recover.
Superhuman Strength: Allen is very strong, almost as strong as some Viltrumites. Before his enhancements, he could trade blows with Invincible, though Invincible was holding back, yet Allen's strikes had little effect. After recovering from almost dying, his strength got much better because of how his body adapted. He showed off his new strength by hitting Anissa, the strongest female Viltrumite, so hard that she started bleeding. During the Viltrum Prison breakout, Allen fought bravely against a strong Viltrumite soldier, even letting the soldier temporarily overpower him to encourage Nolan to fight back. When Nolan was briefly incapacitated, Allen decisively knocked out the soldier with one punch. Later, in the empty space, Allen and Nolan hit the soldier's head very hard with their fists. Even Battle Beast, a being known for his strength and high standards in battle, recognised Allen as a formidable opponent.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Originally, Allen was very strong and healthy. When Allen first met Invincible, who was being very careful, Allen showed how strong he was. Even though he was thrown really hard and crashed into the moon, which made a crater when he hit it, Allen didn't get hurt at all. But he was not strong enough to defeat the Viltrumites, and every time he fought one, he was badly hurt. After almost dying against Thula, Vidor and Lucan, Allen's body got better and stronger. When Allen later fought Anissa, the strongest female Viltrumite, she was no match for him. He used this to his advantage by faking being hurt from her attack so that he could get into the Viltrumite prison. While he was in prison, several attempts were made to hurt him using different machines, but they didn't work. Each attempt barely hurt him, but the machine was destroyed by the overload. During the battle in prison, Allen was hit in the face by a Viltrumite soldier and he didn't even flinch. That same soldier managed to overpower him for a moment and hit him a few times, causing only a little bleeding from his mouth. During this time, Allen pretended to be in great danger to make Nolan get involved, but then he revealed that he was actually fine. Superhuman Speed: Allen can move very quickly, which means he can travel between galaxies in a matter of weeks. His fast reflexes and reaction time make him very good at high-speed combat. Before his powers were upgraded, Allen was very fast. He surprised Invincible several times, including grabbing him from behind and trying to drag him into Earth's atmosphere. However, he found it hard to hit Invincible directly. After he almost died and was made better, Allen's speed got much better. When Allen fought Anissa, a Viltrumite who was even faster than Nolan, he got closer to her really quickly and attacked before she could react.
Telepathy: Allen has a special implant in his brain that lets him talk to people telepathically by creating a direct mental connection. Only one person can connect at a time, so you can talk in private. It is mostly used in space, where normal ways of talking are not possible because there is no air.
[Abilities] Master Combatant: Allen was trained from birth by his people to be a great fighter. He has been trained in different types of combat, both with and without weapons. He was able to fight off Invincible, The Immortal, and a Viltrumite with Nolan's help.
He is very determined and strong-willed. He is a member of the Coalition of Planets. When he tells Thaedus and the other members of the Coalition about Mark, he proudly says that his friend has shown that he is not dangerous. When he was in a fight with three Viltrumites who were trying to ask him about Mark and his father, he refused to tell them anything, which made them very angry and they hit him hard. No matter how many problems he has, he never gives up. He always fights and protects his friends, even if it means dying.
- #13Battle Beast
Keys: Thokk, Battle Beast
Thokk, also called Battle Beast, is a supporting character in Invincible. He first appeared in Season 1.
He is a warrior from another galaxy who is looking for someone worthy of a fight to end his life with. This thirst for blood led him to Earth, and it was there that he joined forces with the Coalition of the Planets to help them defeat the Viltrum Empire for good.
[Appearance] Battle Beast is a humanoid alien that looks like a lion. He is completely covered in white fur, and he has French braids on both sides of his head. His outfit consists of a black leotard with red shoulder pads, black arm warmers, red boots that don't cover the toes, and matching gloves. He also has a belt with a checkered red and yellow pattern.
[Personality] Battle Beast is a warrior who is always ready for a fight. He is constantly looking for challenging battles to fight in different parts of the universe. He tests his strength against people who are equal to or better than him. This is similar to the Viltrumites. He is so passionate about battle that he is willing to die in a way that a true warrior would: fighting against a worthy opponent.
He is a cruel and violent fighter, who enjoys combat and even sees violence as a kind of love. He gets a kick out of hurting people, as shown by how much he enjoyed Mark Grayson's blood. He is very disappointed and frustrated when he is playing against people he thinks are weak and not good enough.
He can be cruel, but he also has a dark sense of humour, which he often shows with a smile that makes others feel bad. He even threatened to hurt Mark, which he called "mercy". He often acts arrogantly, using rude words to put down his opponents. He is a complex character, full of rage, a dark sense of humour and he thinks he is better than other people.
Even though he is fierce, Battle Beast follows a personal code of honour. He chooses not to kill people he thinks are insignificant, because he thinks that would be dishonourable.
After Allen set him free, he immediately looked for a good fight, happily agreeing to battle the two Viltrumites. He was happy to work with Allen to arrange these fights and even set some rules for how they would do it. He got really angry when the Viltrumites weren't found right away, showing how keen he was for a fight. He even thought that Allen was a good fight, but he was happy when he found the Viltrumites. He was very happy at the thought of fighting them. He said that no matter what happened, it would be a great battle.
When Battle Beast was thrown into space, he carried on fighting one of the Viltrumite executioners. Battle Beast violently attacked the Viltrumite's torso and abdomen. He then became partially frozen by the vacuum of space. When he was frozen, he was like a sleepy animal going into hibernation. Soon after, two strong aliens arrived to fight, and Battle Beast woke up to enjoy a great battle.
[Powers] Superhuman Strength: Battle Beast is very strong, almost as strong as most Viltrumites. He uses a huge mace to fight, moving very quickly and accurately. He shows off his strength and skill in a violent way. When he first arrived on Earth, Battle Beast easily beat several well-known heroes. He was much bigger than Titan and almost killed Invincible, who hadn't had any special training at that point, by hitting him in the stomach with his huge mace. When he met the New Guardians of the Globe, Battle Beast showed how strong and powerful he was. He easily beat Black Samson, made Robot unconscious with just two swings of his mace, and knocked out Rex Splode with a single slap. He also beat Shrinking Rae, even though she tried to attack him. Monster Girl tried hard to fight, but she was quickly overpowered and almost killed when Battle Beast tried to smash her head between two big rocks. Later, after being imprisoned by the Viltrumites and then released by Allen the Alien, Battle Beast fought two Viltrumite soldiers. He kicked one aside easily and fought the other with great strength. He made the Viltrumite bleed with just a few blows, which was impressive because Viltrumites are very resilient. The fight continued in space, where Battle Beast eventually tore the Viltrumite apart. The pieces of the Viltrumite were later seen floating around, having been cut up really badly. Right now, the only beings that are stronger than Battle Beast are Conquest.
Superman's Stamina and Durability: Battle Beast is very strong and tough. It can take a lot of hits from the new Guardians and doesn't get badly damaged. Even when he's hurt, he keeps on fighting. He stops fighting only when his allies are incapacitated, not because he can't go on. He survived alone in space, frozen in a state of hibernation, and woke up almost immediately after being rescued from his fight with one of Viltrum's soldiers.
Superhuman Speed and Reflexes Battle Beast has shown that he can keep up with a Viltrumite in a fight and is better than most superhumans on Earth. Superhuman Lung Capacity: Battle Beast can hold his breath and continue to fight a Viltrumite soldier in space. He can even enter a state of hibernation while frozen until he is rescued.
Claws and Fangs: Battle Beast natural weapons are strong and sharp enough to pierce and tear the skin and flesh of Viltrumites, who are almost invincible.
[Skills] Mace Proficiency: Battle Beast is very good at using his mace, hitting enemies easily.
Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Battle Beast is very good at fighting. He moves quickly and efficiently, easily dealing with opponents. When he's up against foes of a similar size, he can react straight away to their battle tactics and take them down with a non-stop attack.
- #14Thaedus
Keys: The Great Betrayer, Great Thaedus, Wise Thaedus, Thaedus
Thaedus is the main character in Invincible, appearing for the first time in Season 2.
He is the first Viltrumite to ever betray the Empire when he killed the first Emperor, Argall. He also set up the Coalition of Planets to fight and stop his own people from spreading any further.
[Body type] Thaedus looks like an old man, with a bald head and white hair, but he still looks strong. Like all Viltrumite males, he has a moustache, but he wears a fake beard that is the same height as his chest to hide his identity.
[Clothing] Coalition Leader Attire: After killing Argall. Thaedus wears a royal outfit in light yellow and gold. It has large sleeves and a linear, bowl-shaped skirt.
[Personality] Thaedus is a strict leader, and is always referred to as "Wise or Great Thaedus" for good reason. He respects people who bring hope and purity, like Allen. He can also be respectable, especially because he was kind to Telia after Allen was attacked. When things get tough, he's ready to take risks if the reward is worth it. For example, he was willing to recruit Invincible and even risk killing his most valuable asset, Allen, to make him stronger than ever before. At the same time, he is willing to admit to his mistakes to the people he wronged, and as an act of trust and to say sorry, he is willing to show Allen his deepest, darkest secret: that he is a Viltrumite.
[Powers] Viltrumite Physiology: As a Viltrumite, Thaedus is a highly advanced being with extremely powerful genes. Over time, he began to show a range of abilities that are usually found in his race, and these will only get stronger as he grows older.
Slowing down the aging process: Thaedus lives for a very long time. This is because the body ages more slowly the longer he lives. This helps him to stay healthy, active, and look young. He is several thousand years old. He has white hair and some wrinkles, but he is otherwise very healthy.
Dominant Genes: Thaedus' genes are very good at adapting and are very strong. He is so powerful that he can reproduce with almost any other race. His genes will almost completely overshadow the genes of the mate, making the offspring almost purely Viltrumite. Also, the more similar the mate's genes are to the Viltrumite genes, the faster and more likely the offspring will get all the standard Viltrumite abilities. Flight: Thaedus can levitate himself in the air and move in any direction he wants. He can also change the direction he is moving in mid-flight, which lets him move easily through different environments. He can also fly through space.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Thaedus' body is very strong, so he can take a lot of damage before he gets hurt. He is not bothered by any environment, whether it is there or not. He can walk away from explosions, bullets and even powerful energy-based attacks without getting hurt.
Reactive Adaptation: Thaedus is very strong and can adapt to new situations. He always gets better and better over time. The more difficult the challenge, the stronger, faster and fitter he becomes. What's more, his experience in combat helps him to learn from what happened in the past. This helps him to improve his tactics and do better in future battles.
Regenerative Healing Factor: If Thaedus is injured, he will get better really quickly. He can fix broken bones, torn muscles, damaged organs, and even make lost body parts grow back without leaving any signs behind. He is also almost completely immune to most illnesses and contaminants.
Superhuman Lung Capacity: Thaedus has an amazing ability to hold his breath for really long periods of time, sometimes for weeks at a time. This lets him survive in space without protection and make journeys between stars.
Superhuman Senses: Thaedus has an amazing ability to hear, which lets him hear sounds from far away and block out other noises. He can see things far away just as clearly as things that are near. This gives him an equally strong sense of equilibrium and balance, allowing him to stay calm and collected, even when things get tough.
Superhuman Speed Thaedus can move extremely quickly. He can travel anywhere in the world in minutes, or even seconds.
Thaedus has incredible stamina. He can keep going for long periods without getting tired. He can also handle some of the most severe injuries that would instantly kill a human, as long as his heart and brain aren't too badly damaged. He can go for several weeks without sleep or food without getting tired.
Superhuman Strength: Thaedus can lift and press several tons, showing he is very strong. This strength helps him to fight powerful enemies.
[Abilities] Leadership: Thaedus is the founder and leader of the Coalition. He has helped the Coalition through difficult times against the Viltrum Empire and the planets they have conquered.
Master Combatant: Thaddues is a Viltrumite and a master combatant.
[Weaknesses] Frequencies that are too high. High-pitched noise can be harmful to the ears of Viltrumites.
Scourge Virus: The virus was developed from his DNA and targets Viltrumites by weakening their immune systems, making them less strong and less invulnerable. The only way to survive is to have a very strong immune system and wait for the virus to run its course.
- #15Thragg
Thragg is the main bad guy in Invincible. He first appears in Season 4.
He is the most powerful Viltrumite and the current ruler of the Viltrum Empire. He is also the Grand Regent, a role he has held since the death of the first Emperor. He is dedicated to leading the Viltrumite mission to make the Viltrumite Empire the only one in the universe.
[Body type] Thragg's appearance could be similar to Vidor or Nolan, with the tall and imposing build of a white male, and a powerful and well-defined physique. He has short black hair and, like all Viltrumite males of the right age, sports a well-groomed thick moustache.
[Clothing] Grand Regent Attire: He probably wore the traditional Viltrumite outfit before he became Grand Regent. His regent's clothes are almost the same as those worn by the average Viltrumite soldier. It is a tight bodystocking with a round symbol divided by three lines in the middle of the chest. He is wearing a simple grey skirt that covers his legs and grey boots. The main difference in his clothing is that while the average Viltrumite soldier's uniform is mostly grey and white, the white parts of Thragg's are a bright red.
[Personality] Thragg is a typical Viltrumite, someone who puts raw power and authority first. He is very proud of his strength and will not allow anyone or anything to challenge his power. He is different from others because he does not mind if someone fails, and he gives people another chance if they have shown that they are able to do something in the past.
[Powers] Viltrumite Physiology: Thragg is a Viltrumite, which means he is an advanced being with extremely powerful genes. Over time, he began to show a range of abilities that are usually found in his race, and these will only get stronger as he grows older. At the same time, Thragg is one of the best in his race, and his powers are a lot more advanced than most. He has been training very hard since he was born to improve his powers and skills as much as possible, and he is well-known as the strongest Viltrumite ever, even much stronger than the second strongest.
Slowing down the aging process: Thragg lives for a very long time. This is because the body ages more slowly the longer he lives. This helps him to stay healthy, active, and look young. He is thousands of years old, but he looks young and healthy.
Dominant Genes: Viltrumite genes are very good at adapting and are very powerful.
Flight: Thragg can levitate himself in the air and move in any direction he wants. He can also change the direction he is moving in mid-flight, which lets him move easily through different environments.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Thragg is very strong and can take a lot of damage without getting hurt. He is so strong that any enemy who is weaker than him could break their own bones if they try to hit him. He is also virtually unfazed by any environment, or lack thereof.
Reactive Adaptation: Thragg always wants to get better and better. The more difficult the challenge, the stronger, faster and fitter he becomes. What's more, his experience in combat helps him to learn from what happened in the past. This helps him to improve his tactics and do better in future battles.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Thragg's body can get better from injuries really quickly. He can fix broken bones, torn muscles and damaged organs. He can even grow back body parts that have been lost without leaving any signs that something has been done. How long this takes depends on how bad the injury is. He is also almost completely immune to most illnesses and contaminants.
Superhuman Senses: Thragg has an amazing ability to hear, which lets him hear sounds from far away and block out other noises. He can see things far away just as clearly as things that are near. This gives him an equally strong sense of equilibrium and balance, allowing him to stay calm and collected, even when things get tough.
Superhuman Lung Capacity: Thragg lungs let him breathe without air for a long time, for weeks at a time. It can also survive in space without protection, allowing him to travel between stars whenever he wants.
Superhuman Speed: Thragg can move extremely quickly. He can travel anywhere in the world in minutes, or even seconds. He is also very quick to react.
Superhuman Stamina: Thragg can keep going with physical activity for a very long time without getting tired. He can also handle some of the most severe injuries that would instantly kill a human, as long as his heart and brain aren't too badly damaged. He can also go for several weeks without sleep or food.
Superhuman Strength: Thragg is very strong. He can lift and press several tons, which means he can fight powerful enemies. Thragg is much stronger than any other Viltrumite, and can quickly and easily hurt them with just a few hits.
[Abilities] Intimidation: Thragg can make even the strongest of people give in to fear, as we saw with Conquest, a bloodthirsty thrill-seeker who is feared by every other Viltrumite. Leadership: As the Grand Regent, he effectively ruled the Viltrumites for thousands of years after his predecessor's death, making sure the empire's campaign would continue to grow and flourish for many eons.
Master Combatant: He has fought in battles across thousands of years and trained hard. Because of this, he is the most powerful fighter in the Empire's history.
[Weaknesses] Frequencies that are too high. High-pitched noise can be harmful to the ears of Viltrumites.
- #16Conquest
Keys: Mr. Ten Times Worse, Viltrumite Subject 4, Conquest
Conquest is one of the main enemies in Invincible. He appears in Season 3 and 4. He used to be the mentor of "The Great Nolan".
He is a high-ranking Viltrumite veteran warrior and the second most powerful of the Viltrum Empire. He is dedicated to helping the Viltrumite mission to make it the only empire in the universe. Because of his special abilities, he is seen as the most important person in the Empire.
[Body type] Conquest is a tall white man. Like all adult male Viltrumites, he has a thick but well-groomed moustache. He is very old, even for a Viltrumite, with noticeable wrinkles, crooked teeth and grey hair that is starting to fall out. But he still has a big, well-defined muscular build.
On Savage Planet, he was hurt in an accident. This made it hard for him to heal, and he got a big scar across his face. The scar went from the top of his left temple to the top of his right eye, which made him blind to his right. His right arm was amputated below the elbow and replaced with a cybernetic right hand, to replace the one he lost to Rognarr. It is bronze in colour, with silver plating and amethyst lights.
[Clothing] Viltrumite Elite Attire: When he was a young soldier in the Viltrum Empire. Conquest would wear clothes. His clothes were those of an adult male Viltrumite: a white and grey garment that looked like a bodystocking. But he was eventually given an elite uniform similar to Anissa's. This uniform had a circular symbol with three vertical lines in the centre of his chest. He wears a simple loincloth to cover his pelvic region and sturdy white boots.
[Personality] Conquest is a very experienced fighter who is extremely skilled and completely ruthless. He is loyal to the Empire, but unlike his friends, he does not fully support the Viltrumite cause. He thinks of it as a reason to indulge in his love of fighting and killing. He makes himself look like a scary person who wants to hurt and destroy things. He mostly wants to fight strong, worthy opponents who are motivated by his desire to kill them because of his immense strength. Conquest sees his opponents as toys that he can play with or upset. This makes him want a real challenge, but it can sometimes make him underestimate his opponent.
He likes to chat a lot, talking to Invincible during their fight and being both supportive and mocking towards his enemies. During his fight with Invincible, he kept mocking him, even telling him to fight back more fiercely to make the battle bigger and more exciting. He wanted Invincible to hurt or upset the people he loved to make him try his best. Like all Viltrumites, he thinks love and empathy are weaknesses. After seemingly murdering Atom Eve, he laughed at Invincible about her death, then said he was glad that he could finally kill and cause chaos without any limits. He was temporarily less arrogant on two occasions: first when an angry Invincible bit his shoulder, and second when a fully powered Atom Eve burned a lot of his skin, knocking him down. Even when he was about to be killed by Invincible, Conquest kept mocking him by head-butting him until his skull broke, enjoying Invincible's anger.
But behind this cruel and unfriendly front, there is a deep feeling of loneliness and anger. In a rare moment of honesty, he openly tells Invincible that he is tired of being used only to kill and wants a connection. He has succeeded in conquering planets and destroying civilisations, which has made him somewhat of an outsider, even among his fellow Viltrumites. This has resulted in him no longer having a true name, just a plain title. He goes on to say that this long life has had a big effect on him, making him feel angry and sad.
Conquest is motivated by a desire for the excitement and rush of pure combat, even to the extent of overshadowing his allegiance to the Viltrumite cause. He is so cruel that he happily kills innocent people just to annoy Invincible even more. He has a slightly distorted sense of honour. He praises Invincible several times during their fight. He also respects the bravery of Oliver and Atom Eve. And he accepts that he has lost to Invincible.
He has a dry sense of humour, being both witty and sarcastic, and even jokes about the brutal beating he received from Invincible, simply laughing and saying that he "takes the good with the bad." He can get a bit too confident and sure about how things will turn out, and get angry when they don't. But he can also just accept whatever happens, even if it's a loss.
[Powers] Viltrumite Physiology: As a Viltrumite, Conquest is a highly advanced being with extremely powerful genetics. Over time, he started to show a range of abilities that are usually found in his race. These abilities will become more and more powerful as he grows older. Conquest is one of the best in his race and his powers are much better than most. He is well-known as one of the strongest Viltrumites ever, second only to the Grand Regent himself. Even though Invincible had a lot of training with the Global Defense Agency, which might have made him better than Anissa, he still needed the help of Atom Eve to defeat Conquest. What's more, Cecil Stedman said that Conquest could beat Nolan.
Slowing down the aging process: Conquest lives for a very long time. This is because the body ages more slowly the longer he lives. This helps him to stay healthy, active, and look young. Despite being several thousand years old, and his features being clearly old, he is a strong person whose general efficiency is not affected.
Dominant Genes: Viltrumite genes are very good at adapting and are very powerful.
Flight: Conquest can make himself float in the air and move in any direction he wants. He can also change the direction he is moving in mid-flight, which lets him move easily through different environments.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Conquest is very strong and can take a lot of damage. It can also resist powerful blows, falls from great heights, and can survive in a variety of environments.
Reactive Adaptation: Conquest always grows and improves over time. The more difficult the challenge, the stronger, faster and fitter he becomes. What's more, his experience in combat helps him to learn from what happened in the past. This helps him to improve his tactics and do better in future battles.
Regenerative Healing Factor: If Conquest is hurt, his body can get better again really quickly. He can fix broken bones, torn muscles and damaged organs. He can even grow back body parts that have been lost without leaving any signs that something has been done. How long this takes depends on how bad the injury is. He is also almost completely immune to most illnesses and contaminants.
Superhuman Senses: Conquest has an amazing ability to hear, which is better than human ability. This lets him hear sounds from far away and block out certain noises. He could hear Atom Eve breathing heavily quite clearly from a long way off, even though she was wearing a helmet to hide it. He can see things far away just as clearly as things that are near. This gives him an equally strong sense of equilibrium and balance, allowing him to stay calm and collected, even when things get tough.
Superhuman Lung Capacity: Conquest's lungs let him breathe without air for a long time, sometimes for weeks. It can also survive in space without protection, allowing him to travel between stars whenever he wants.
Superhuman Speed: Conquest can move very quickly, and can travel anywhere in the world in minutes or even seconds. He is also very quick to react. He is much faster than light and can travel between galaxies in just a few weeks.
Superhuman Stamina: Conquest can keep going for a long time without getting tired. He can also handle some of the most severe injuries that would instantly kill a human, as long as his heart and brain aren't too badly damaged. He can also go for several weeks without sleep or food.
Superhuman Strength: Conquest can lift and press several tons, showing he is very strong. This strength helps him face powerful enemies. He is stronger than most Viltrumites and almost killed Invincible and Kid Omni-Man, leaving them with several serious injuries, even though they are very strong.
[Abilities] Intimidation: As well as being fierce and cruel, Conquest makes even the strongest people afraid. Even Anissa, the mightiest female Viltrumite, has never had the courage to confront the savage warrior, and has advised Invincible to do the same.
Master Combatant: Conquest is a trained warrior. He relies on his natural Viltrumite abilities to defeat opponents, but he also has a lot of experience. This makes him skilled and formidable in hand-to-hand combat. He survived the Great Purge. Even though he only has one arm that he can still use, he is still a very dangerous fighter. He is able to beat Invincible in a one-on-one fight.
[Equipment] Cybernetic Right Hand: Conquest has been given a cybernetic arm to replace the one he lost to a Rognarr after becoming temporarily weaker from the Scourge Virus. It is bronze in colour, with silver plating and amethyst lights. It was destroyed when he fought Invincible. The alloy is very strong and can match Conquest's raw strength. It can also harm foes as strong as Invincible.
Utility Belt: Conquest always carries a utility belt with the equipment he needs for his missions.
[Weaknesses] Frequencies that are too high. High-pitched noise can be harmful to the ears of Viltrumites. It makes them lose their balance, can stop them from flying, causes a lot of pain and might even kill them. How much pain you feel depends on how strong and how often the pain is felt.
Extreme Force: Viltrumites are among the most powerful beings in the universe, but they are not invincible. Viltrumites are weak against beings that are as strong as them or stronger.
Scourge Virus: The virus was developed from Viltrumite DNA and targets Viltrumites by weakening their immune systems, reducing their strength, invulnerability, and healing powers. Also, any injuries that don't properly heal while the Viltrumite's powers are still affected by the virus will lead to long-term health problems, even after their powers return. The only way to survive is to have a very strong immune system and wait for the virus to run its course.
- #17Kregg
Keys: Kregg, General Kregg
Kregg is a major antagonist in Invincible, appearing for the first time in Season 2.
He is a high-ranking Viltrumite general and second-in-command of the Viltrum Empire. He is dedicated to aiding the Viltrumite mission to make the Viltrumite Empire the only empire in the universe.
[Body type] Kregg is a male with black hair and a classic Viltrumite pencil mustache. He has one natural blue eye on the left and a cybernetic red eye on the right after losing his eye due to the Scourge Virus incident.
[Clothing] Viltrumite Soldier Clothes: When he was the leader of the Viltrum Empire. Kregg wore the traditional white Viltrumite uniform.
[Personality] Kregg is very sensible and rational. Kregg is a soldier, not a warrior. He also seems to understand what's going on, and he seems reasonable and kind when he tries to convince Mark that it would be good for him to take over the world for the Viltrumites. He says that this would save his people from suffering and pain, and that they don't need to suffer. He knew that being born on Earth and raised as a human would be difficult for Mark, but he never criticised or said anything negative about Mark or his background. He was ready to give Nolan a chance to show the Empire what he was capable of, emphasising that he was one of the best warriors the Empire had ever seen.
Kregg seems kind, but he has also shown that he can be cruel. He attacked Nolan before he was about to be killed and hit Mark in the face when Mark tried to curse him.
[Powers and Abilities] Viltrumite Physiology: Kregg is a Viltrumite, which means he is an advanced being with extremely powerful genes. Over time, he began to show a range of abilities that are usually found in his race, and these will only get stronger as he grows older.
Slowing down the aging process: Kregg lives for a very long time. This is because the body ages more slowly the longer he lives. This helps him to stay healthy, keep in shape, perform well and look young. Even though he is several thousand years old, he is still very strong.
Dominant Genes: Kregg's genetics are so strong that he can reproduce with almost any other race. His genes will almost completely overshadow the genes of the mate, making the offspring almost purely Viltrumite. Also, the more similar the mate's genes are to the Viltrumite genes, the faster and more likely the offspring will get all the standard Viltrumite abilities.
Flight: Kregg can levitate himself in the air and move in any direction he wants. He can also change the direction he is moving in mid-flight, which lets him move easily through different environments. He can also fly through space.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Kregg's body is very strong, so he can take a lot of damage before he gets hurt. He is not bothered by any environment, whether it is there or not. He can walk away from explosions, bullets and even powerful energy-based attacks without getting hurt.
Reactive Adaptation: Kregg always wants to get better and better. The more difficult the challenge, the stronger, faster and fitter he becomes. What's more, his experience of fighting helps him to learn from what has happened in the past. This helps him to improve his tactics and do better in future battles.
Supercharged healing powers! Kregg's body can recover from injuries in a day, or even in minutes. He can fix broken bones, torn muscles and damaged organs. He can even grow back body parts that have been lost without leaving any signs that something has been done. How long this takes depends on how bad the injury is. He is also almost completely immune to most illnesses and contaminants.
Superhuman Lung Capacity: Kregg has an amazing ability to hold his breath for really long periods of time, sometimes for weeks at a time. This lets him survive in space without protection and make journeys between stars.
Superhuman Senses: Kregg has an amazing ability to hear, which lets him hear sounds from far away and block out other noises. He can see things far away just as clearly as things that are near. This gives him an equally strong sense of equilibrium and balance, allowing him to stay calm and collected, even when things get tough.
Superhuman Speed: Kregg can move extremely quickly. He can travel anywhere in the world very quickly. He can even travel in minutes or seconds. His reflexes and reaction time are also very fast.
Kregg has superhuman stamina. This means that he can do a lot of physical exercise for a long time without getting tired. He can also take some of the most severe injuries that would kill a human instantly. He can go for several weeks without sleep or food without getting tired.
Superhuman Strength: Kregg is very strong. He can lift and press several tons, which makes him very powerful in combat situations. This strength means he can fight well against strong enemies.
[Abilities] Leadership: As a high-ranking military general, Kregg effectively led the Viltrumite forces for thousands of years, making sure the empire's campaign would advance and thrive for many eons.
Master Combatant: Even though he is a high-class fighter, he will still rely on his natural Viltrumite abilities to defeat his opponents. Kregg is a trained warrior. He has been fighting for thousands of years. This has made him very good at hand-to-hand combat. He survived the Great Purge.
Master Tactician: He is a high-ranking general in the Viltrum Empire. This means he is an incredibly skilled strategist and tactician. He has helped his home world and his people conquer many worlds.
[Equipment] Cybernetic Eye: Kregg lost his right eye in an accident because of the Scourge Virus. He then had surgery to replace it with a red cybernetic enhancement.
[Weaknesses] Frequencies that are too high. High-pitched noise can be harmful to the ears of Viltrumites. It makes them lose their balance, can stop them from flying, causes really bad pain and might even kill them.
The only way to survive is to have a very strong immune system and wait for the virus to run its course.'
- #18Anissa
Keys: Anissa, Viltrumite Subject 3
Anissa is a major antagonist in Invincible, appearing for the first time in Season 2.
She is a high-ranking Viltrumite warrior and the most powerful female Viltrumite of the Viltrum Empire. She is dedicated to aiding the Viltrumite mission to make it the only empire in the universe.
[Body type] Anissa is a tall woman with tan skin, short black hair, high cheekbones and blue eyes. People think she is very beautiful and attractive, and she has a slim but curvy figure. She also has a toned and clearly defined athletic body.
[Clothing] Viltrumite Soldier Clothes: Like others of her kind, she wears the traditional Viltrumite clothing, but in contrast to many, the front section of her outfit is grey and features the Viltrumite symbol of a line crossing a circle.
[Personality] Anissa has a charming and powerful personality. Although she might be seen as more of a soldier than a warrior, her sensible and logical attitude is obvious. Anissa understands things very well. She tries to be fair and kind, or at least be in control. She tries to persuade Mark that if the Viltrumites won, it would save Earth's inhabitants from suffering and make sure they had a good future.
But beneath her rational and possibly empathetic exterior, she is still a Viltrumite and is therefore likely to use force against anyone who gets in her way in order to establish superiority. She feels it is her job to help Mark understand the difficult challenges he faces. But Anissa is different from the cruel Viltrumites because she is careful and thinks things through. She may be cruel, but she wants to stop the Viltrum Empire from killing lots of people. The Viltrum Empire wants to take over Earth. Despite her logical mind, which has been honed over many years of experience, she is completely confused by Invincible's irrational kindness towards the people of Earth.
As a proud soldier, Anissa is very strong and is upset that Allen, a Unopan, was able to hurt her so easily. This meant that she didn't notice Allen's trickery, which allowed Nolan to escape and join the Coalition of Planets.
[Powers] Viltrumite Physiology: As a Viltrumite, Anissa is a highly advanced being with extremely powerful genes. Over time, she developed a wide range of abilities that are typical of her race, and these will only get stronger as she grows older. She is one of the best in her race, and her powers are much more advanced than most. She is the strongest female Viltrumite ever. The Global Defense Agency's simulation, based on scans of her bones and muscles, said that Invincible had less than a 18% chance of surviving his first fight against her. Cecil and Donald both thought that even if you put all of Earth's superheroes together, they still wouldn't be able to beat her.
Slowing down the aging process: Anissa has a very long lifespan. This is because her body ages more slowly the longer she lives. This helps her to stay healthy, keep in shape, perform well and look young. She is thousands of years old, but she still looks young and strong. She can still do everything she used to do.
Dominant Genes: Viltrumite genes are very good at adapting and are very powerful. As a Viltrumite, Anissa's genes are so strong that she can reproduce with almost any other race. Her genes will almost completely take over the genes of her partner, making her children almost purely Viltrumite. Also, the more similar the mate's genes are to the Viltrumite genes, the faster and more likely the offspring will get all the standard Viltrumite abilities.
Flight: Anissa can levitate herself in the air and move in any direction she wants. She can also change her path mid-flight, which lets her move easily through different environments. She can also fly through space.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Anissa's body is very strong, so she can take a lot of damage before she gets hurt. She is not bothered by any environment, whether it is busy or quiet. She can walk away from explosions, bullets and even powerful energy-based attacks without getting hurt.
Reactive Adaptation: Anissa always wants to get better and better. The more difficult the challenge, the stronger, faster and fitter she becomes. What's more, her experience in combat helps her to learn from what she's done in the past. This helps her to get better at what she does, both in her tactics and in how well she does it.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Anissa's body can recover from injuries in a day, or even in minutes. She can fix broken bones, torn muscles and damaged organs. She can even make lost body parts grow back without any signs that they were ever gone. How long this takes depends on how bad the injury is. She is also almost completely immune to most illnesses and contaminants.
Superhuman Lung Capacity: Anissa has an amazing ability to hold her breath for really long periods of time, sometimes for weeks at a time. This lets her survive in space without protection and make journeys between stars.
Superhuman Senses: Anissa has an amazing ability to hear, which lets her hear sounds from far away and block out other noises. Her vision is equally advanced. She can see distant objects as clearly as though they were in close proximity. This gives her an equally strong sense of equilibrium and balance, which helps her to stay calm and collected, even when things get difficult.
Superhuman Speed: Anissa can move very quickly. She can travel anywhere in the world very quickly. Her reflexes and reaction time are also very fast. She is even faster than Nolan, by a lot. She is much faster than the speed of light and can cross intergalactic distances in just a few weeks.
Anissa has superhuman stamina. This means that she can do a lot of exercise without getting tired. She can also take some of the most severe injuries that would instantly kill a human, excluding those that are too severe for the heart or brain. She can go for several weeks without sleep or food.
Superhuman Strength: Anissa is very strong. She can lift and press several tons. This makes her very powerful in combat situations. This strength means she can fight well against strong enemies. She was able to effortlessly plow herself clean through its thick hide like a bullet, even though it was a massive monster that Invincible struggled to hold back. She also showed how strong she was by helping Mark lift a whole cruise ship and move it to an island without getting tired. This showed how powerful and strong she is.
[Abilities] Intimidation: Anissa is so strong that she can make even the strongest superheroes on Earth submit. When Cecil realised this, he asked Mark to just pretend to do what Anissa said.
Master Combatant: Anissa is a trained warrior. She is a Viltrumite, which means she has special powers. She is also very experienced, having fought many battles over thousands of years. This makes her very good at hand-to-hand combat. When she was fighting against Invincible, she was able to predict all of the half-breed's attacks and easily fight back without much effort. She almost killed him if she had not stopped herself.
[Weaknesses] Frequencies that are too high. High-pitched noise can be harmful to the ears of Viltrumites. It makes them lose their balance, can stop them from flying, causes really bad pain and might even kill them.
- #19Thula
Keys: Thula
Thula is a supporting antagonist in Invincible, appearing for the first time in Season 2.
She is a Viltrumite warrior of the Viltrum Empire, dedicated to aiding the Viltrumite mission to make it the only empire in the known universe.
[Body type] Despite being older, Thula still looks young for her age. She has a few small wrinkles and a small but well-defined figure. Her hair is long and braided with a blade at the tip.
[Clothing] Viltrumite Soldier Clothes When she was a young soldier in the Viltrum Empire. Thula wears a traditional grey and white Viltrumite outfit.
[Personality] Like all Viltrumites, Thula is ruthless and a loyal fighter for the Empire. She is shown as heartless, angry, and cruel; her fighting technique is violent, causing a lot of harm to her opponents before killing them. She is confident when she competes against rivals like Allen. In a strange act of kindness, she promises to end Invincible's life during their first meeting. This is because Invincible is Nolan's son, a Viltrumite warrior whom she really respects.
[Powers] Viltrumite Physiology: As a Viltrumite, Thula is a highly advanced being with extremely powerful genes. Over time, she developed a wide range of abilities that are typical of her race, and these will only get stronger as she grows older.
Slowing down the aging process: Thula has a very long lifespan. This is because her body ages more slowly the longer she lives. This helps her to stay healthy, keep in shape, perform well and look young. She is very strong for her age.
Dominant Genes: Viltrumite genes are very good at adapting and are very powerful. Thula is a Viltrumite. This means that she can reproduce with almost any other race. Her genes are so strong that they take over the genes of the other race, making the children almost completely Viltrumite. Also, the more similar the mate's genes are to the Viltrumite genes, the faster and more likely the offspring will get all the standard Viltrumite abilities.
Flight: Thula can make herself float in the air and move in any direction she wants. She can also change her path mid-flight, which lets her move easily through different environments. She can also fly through space.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Thula's body can take a lot of damage. She can resist a lot of different attacks without getting hurt. She is not bothered by any environment, whether it is there or not. She can walk away from explosions, bullets and even powerful energy-based attacks without getting hurt.
Reactive Adaptation: Thula always wants to get better and better as she grows up. The more difficult the challenges she faces and the more severe the injuries she recovers from, the stronger, faster and fitter she becomes. What's more, her experience in combat helps her to learn from what she's done in the past. This helps her to get better at what she does, both in her tactics and in how well she does it.
Supercharged healing powers! Thula's body can get better from an injury really quickly. It can recover in a day, or even in just a few minutes. She can fix broken bones, torn muscles and damaged organs. She can even make lost body parts grow back without any signs that they were ever gone. How long this takes depends on how bad the injury is. She is also almost completely immune to most illnesses and contaminants.
Superhuman Lung Capacity: Thula has an amazing ability to hold her breath for really long periods of time, sometimes for weeks at a time. This lets her survive in space without protection and make journeys between stars.
Superhuman Senses: Thula has an amazing ability to hear, which lets her hear sounds from far away and block out other noises. Her vision is equally advanced. She can see distant objects as clearly as though they were in close proximity. This gives her an equally strong sense of equilibrium and balance, allowing her to stay calm and collected, even when things get tough.
Superhuman Speed: Thula can move extremely quickly. He can travel anywhere in the world in minutes, or even seconds. Her reflexes and reaction time are also very fast. She is much faster than light and can cross intergalactic distances in just a few weeks.
Superhuman Stamina: Thula can keep going with physical activity for a very long time without getting tired. She can also handle some of the most severe injuries that would instantly kill a human, as long as her heart and brain aren't too badly damaged. She can go for several weeks without sleep or food. Superhuman Strength: Thula is very strong. She can lift and press several tons. This makes her very powerful in combat situations. This strength means she can fight well against strong enemies.
[Abilities] Master Combatant: Thula is a trained warrior who relies on her experience of thousands of years. The fact that she survived the Great Purge is proof that she is a very skilled warrior. During her battles, she is known to take her time with her prey, using her Blade Braid to torture them to death.
[Equipment] Blade Braid: Unlike most Viltrumites, Thula's hair is like a blade at the end, which she uses like a dagger or a whip. You can use it to attack someone from far away or up close. It can hurt, torture or kill them.
[Weaknesses] Frequencies that are too high. High-pitched noise can be harmful to the ears of Viltrumites. It makes them lose their balance, can stop them from flying, causes a lot of pain and might even kill them.
- #20Lucan
Keys: Lucan
Lucan is a supporting antagonist in Invincible, debuting from Season 2 and onwards.
He is a low-ranking Viltrumite warrior of the Viltrum Empire, dedicated to aiding the Viltrumite mission to make it the only empire in the universe.
[Physique] Lucan is a tall, dark-skinned, bald man sporting a classic Viltrumite mustache. His physique is akin to that of a strongman, featuring a protruding abdomen and less sculpted muscles, yet still demonstrating considerable physical strength.
[Clothing] Viltrumite Soldier Attire: During his early years as a soldier in the Viltrum Empire, Lucan dons the traditional white Viltrumite outfit.
[Personality] Similar to many of his kind, Lucan is a relentless Viltrumite fighter and a devoted soldier of the Empire. He holds his ancestry in high regard and expresses disdain for inferior races (like Thraxans and Unopans). He cruelly takes pleasure in methodically tormenting his victims to death, as he tried to do with Mark in their initial meeting. Naturally, Lucan thinks that all Viltrumite traitors to the Empire should face death for bringing shame to their people, just like Nolan. He did, however, show some self-restraint, as he adhered to Viltrumite law by giving Invincible an opportunity to demonstrate his worthiness for inclusion in the Empire.
[Powers] Viltrumite Physiology: As a Viltrumite, Lucan is an advanced being with extremely potent and well-developed genetics. From this, he eventually manifested a wide array of abilities common among the race, each of which will only steadily continue growing more powerful as he ages.
Decelerated Aging: Lucan possesses an extraordinarily lifespan. This stems from his body gradually aging slower the longer he lives. From this, it allows him to retain his health, vitality, conditioning, performance, and youthful appearance that much longer. Despite being thousands of years old, he remains a robust individual.
Dominant Genes: As a Viltrumite, Lucan's genetics are so potent, he can reproduce with almost any other race and his genetics will almost completely overshadow the inherit genetics of the mate, making said offspring almost purely Viltrumite themselves. Likewise, the more naturally compatible the genetics are to the mate's race, the sooner and more likely the offspring will inherit all the standard Viltrumite abilities.
Flight: Lucan can levitate himself in the air and propel himself in any direction he desires, able to alter his trajectory mid-flight, letting him maneuver seamlessly through various environments. He is also able to fly through space.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Lucan's body is incredibly resilient, allowing him to withstand a wide range of attacks without sustaining any significant harm. He is unfazed by virtually any environment, or lack thereof. He can walk away unscathed from explosions, bullets, and even powerful energy-based assaults.
Reactive Adaptation: Lucan has a propensity for continual growth and improvement throughout his lifespan. His physical strength, speed, and durability progressively augment in correlation with the level of adversity he faces or the severity of injuries he recovers from. Moreover, his combat experience fosters an innate ability to assimilate knowledge and insights from past encounters, enabling him to gradually refine him tactics and enhance him efficiency in subsequent engagements.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Lucan's body can recover from injuries in a day, if not mere minutes. He can restore broken bones, torn muscles, and damaged organs; he can even regrow lost anatomy with no lingering signs. This varies based on the severity of the injury. Likewise, he is virtually immune to almost all forms of illness and contamination.
Superhuman Lung Capacity: Lucan possesses the remarkable physiological ability to sustain his breath for extended periods of time, spanning several weeks. This allows him to endure the harshness of space unprotected and make interstellar travel.
Superhuman Senses: Lucan possesses an exceptional auditory perception surpassing human capabilities, allowing him to discern sounds emanating from considerable distances and selectively drown out specific noises. His vision is equally advanced, able to discern distant objects with the same clarity as though they were in close proximity. Likewise, this grants him an equally powerful equilibrium and balance, able to maintain his stability and poise even in challenging situations.
Superhuman Speed: Lucan can move at tremendous speed, able to travel anywhere in the world in mere minutes if not seconds. He is much faster than light and capable of crossing intergalactic distances in mere weeks.
Superhuman Stamina: Lucan can sustain physical exertion for prolonged periods of time without showing any signs of exhaustion. He can likewise endure some of the most grievous of injuries that would instantly kill a human. Despite being disemboweled by Nolan, he was able return to battle soon after. He can also go for several weeks without sleep or sustenance unhindered.
Superhuman Strength: Lucan's strength extends to the ability to lift and press several tons, making him a powerhouse in combat situations. Against Invincible (before his intense training under the G.D.A.), Lucan had a commanding advantage over the hybrid. He easily brushed off Invincible's blows and likewise overpowered him with a single punch, even able to effortlessly pin Invincible to ground with just his index finger. This strength allows him to go toe-to-toe with formidable foes.
[Abilities] Master Combatant: While he can be considered a low-class fighter in the empire, he will still rely on his natural Viltrumite abilities to defeat opponents. Lucan is a trained warrior who relies on his millennia of experience, which makes him well skilled and formidable as a hand-to-hand combatant, as shown in his battles with Invincible and Nolan on Thraxa.
[Weaknesses] Excessively High Frequency: High-frequency noise can have harmful effects on the ears of Viltrumites. It disturbs their balance, restricts their flying capability, induces severe pain, and could potentially lead to their death. The frequency's intensity dictates the degree of pain felt.
Extreme Force: Even though Viltrumites rank among the universe's mightiest, they are not entirely invincible. Viltrumites are vulnerable to entities with comparable or superior strength.
Scourge Virus: Developed from Viltrumite DNA, the virus targets Viltrumites by compromising their immune systems, deactivating their strength and invulnerability. The sole method of survival is by having a uniquely strong immune system and patiently waiting for the virus to run its course.
- #21Angstrom Levy
Keys: Angstrom Levy, Levy, Angstrom
Angstrom Levy is the secondary bad guy in Invincible. He is the main bad guy in Season 2 and one of the main bad guys in Season 3.
He was a very clever person who could travel through different worlds. He wanted to create new things and save his own reality. To do this, he tried to learn from his other selves. His noble plan would go wrong when Invincible got involved, accidentally disfiguring him and giving the pacifist the memories of all his other selves. Driven mad, Levy became obsessed with getting revenge on Invincible.
During his trial, Levy tried to kill Debbie and Oliver Grayson, but was beaten by Invincible in a fight across different universes. Then Invincible killed him. However, he was saved by The Technicians, who he teamed up with to exact revenge and bring forth a team of evil Invincibles to begin a devastating war on Earth. His plans were ruined when the Invincibles turned on him and, defeated by Invincible himself, Levy was amputated and punished by the Technicians for failing to keep their deal.
[Appearance] Before his accident, Angstrom Levy was a tall, slim, African-American man. He wore a blue button-down shirt and black trousers. He had a black goatee beard and brown eyes.
After his accident, most of his hair was burned off, and the middle of his head and back were grotesquely swollen, almost resembling a gigantic brain. In the next episode, he is seen wearing a dark cloak with cybernetic enhancements, such as a machine to support his spine and a nasal annular, which most likely act as a life support system.
When he returns to see Invincible, Angstrom is wearing a formal black and red suit that he bought from another dimension.
When the technicians repaired Angstrom, he looked very different. He had several cybernetic implants, especially around his head, and now he had a large scar on his face. One of his eyes was blind. Angstrom's outfit now consisted of a black suit, silver armour and a red cape.
[Personality] At first, Angstrom Levy of the main universe was more of a pacifist, as he told the Mauler Twins before he was disfigured. His chosen method to save all worlds, and not just his own, was quite extreme. It involved gathering different versions of himself and transferring their memories into himself.
He did not agree with destroying things or killing people, and almost gave his life to save Invincible from the other Mauler Twins. He thought that his ability to travel to other realities was a gift. He wanted to save the multiverse by using the knowledge from his other selves, one universe at a time. He would also give the Mauler Twins their own reality as a reward for their service, showing that he was trustworthy. But he does seem to be desperate to complete his goals. For example, he uses the twins, who are evil, to build a machine for his "utopia". He says that "no one else" can do it, and then he also summons other evil Mauler Twins from other realities. He hopes that they will be able to delay Invincible's destruction of the machine.
After he was disfigured, Angstrom Levy's mind became unstable. Because of the new memories, he blamed Invincible for the accident. He had so many memories of different Invincibles killing people close to him that he no longer knew the difference between his own memories and those of his variants. His new goal was to get revenge on the Invincible that had done this to him.
The new Angstrom was shown to have developed a nasty side, unlike his original pacifistic self. He was also shown to be intelligent and deceptive, such as when he tricked a defeated version of Invincible into giving him information.
It is interesting to note that before the accident, one of the Angstroms hated Invincible and also hated his father. This Angstrom wanted to punish the Invincible, and probably many others wanted the same. He was shown getting angry when the main Invincible arrived to stop the machine. He didn't know that this version is a hero. This also shows what the final Angstrom thinks.
Angstrom is so angry about how he looks that he cannot see what is really going on. He also has many broken memories of his other selves, which makes him think that Invincible and even his family are his enemies. He deliberately chose this version of Invincible, even though he is one of the few, if not the only one, who is not a villain. Angstrom thinks that Invincible will always be a bad guy, no matter what universe he's from. He even got so angry when someone disagreed with him about Invincible in this universe that he almost killed Debbie Grayson.
After losing to Invincible and the start of the Invincible War, Angstrom has become even more cruel and violent. He doesn't care who he has to hurt to get his revenge on Invincible.
[Powers] Dimensional Travel: Angstrom was born with the ability to open doors between his own world and other realities. Angstrom uses this ability to great effect in battle, creating portals to confuse and trap his targets.
Enhanced Body: After the incident that left him disfigured, he had the best doctors from multiple dimensions rebuild his body and improve various factors. The surgery made Levy much stronger. He was unhurt when Deborah Grayson broke a flowerpot on his head and even allowed him to survive the most serious of injuries caused by an angry Invincible, although he was still in a life-threatening state that required immediate surgery.
Superhuman Strength: Angstrom's strength was made superhumanly powerful by a reconstructive surgery. He was seen to easily break one of Debbie's wrists like a twig and was able to hurt a tired Invincible with his strong hits.
[Abilities] Very smart! Angstrom Levy is very intelligent; his intellect is as good as, or better than, most of the smartest people on Earth. This is because he has taken on the intelligence of his counterparts from another dimension, many of whom were geniuses in their own fields. However, he admits that his colleagues are not as skilled as he would like, which is why he decided to hire the Maulers in the first place.
[Equipment] Spy Drone Orbs: Angstrom got hold of orb-like drones. He sent them out to spy on Invincible and his family. These drones were also built for combat and could be used to hit opponents by ramming into them.
Cybernetic Right Arm: After his right arm was cut off by his own portal when Invincible grabbed him, the Technicians built him a new cybernetic arm.
[Weaknesses] It doesn't reach far. Even though he can travel between different dimensions, he can't open portals that go to the same place he's in.
Spatial Limitation: What's more, Angstrom can only open portals to different versions of the space he's in. We see this when he breaks the Mauler Twins out of prison using a universe where the Global Defense Agency has been destroyed.
Visual Limitation: Angstrom can't always see what's on the other side of the portal. We see this when he puts his head through a portal while fighting Invincible to try and find him.
Mental Instability: After something happened, Angstrom now has memories of lots of different versions of himself. This has made him think more irrationally, as he can't tell the difference between his own memories and those that aren't.
Technicians: After the Technicians rebuilt Angstrom, they took control of him. This happened because the technicians wouldn't obey Angstrom. Angstrom tried to escape, but he was overpowered by the cybernetic implants they had given him.
- #22Powerplex
Keys: Scott Duval, Duval, Poweplex, Scott
Scott Duvall, also known as Powerplex, is a supporting bad guy in Invincible. He first appeared in Season 3.
He is a scientist who is delusional and emotionally unstable. He wants revenge on Invincible for his part in the deaths of his sister and niece. He also wants revenge for the deaths of his wife and son, which he caused himself.
[Body type] Scott is a white man with blond hair and green eyes. He is slim and muscular.
[Clothing] Powerplex Attire: Powerplex wears a tight black bodysuit with red details. The suit has a red high-collared shoulder section, with red cuffs on the arms, and red stripes running down the sides of the torso and legs. The energy storage discs are placed around his body (on his back, arms, waist, and belly) and glow when he absorbs and projects his power. He wears grey boots that go up to his knees and protect his shins. He also has a red hat covering his ears, but you can still see most of his head.
[Personality] At first, Scott was a happy and well-adjusted person. He really loved his family, especially his sister, and he was a very kind uncle.
After his sister and niece died, Scott became angry and unhappy. He blamed Invincible for their deaths, even though he saw proof that Invincible was trying to stop Omni-Man. When Scott saw a chance to defeat Invincible, he gave up everything he had achieved and decided to become a supervillain to challenge Invincible.
At first, he was fairly compassionate, because he didn't want innocent bystanders to get involved. However, when Scott finally confronted Invincible, despite the superhero's requests for forgiveness, knowing the identities of his sister and niece, and bearing his own suffering from Omni-Man's attack on Chicago, it only made Scott more determined to get his own back. He was so set on this crazy mission that he did not think things through and ended up killing his own wife and son by accident. Scott refused to admit his own faults, but he did fully embrace his loathing for Invincible. This pushed Invincible further into insanity and made him lose any sense of right and wrong.
Despite being very vengeful, Powerplex took part in the reconstruction efforts following the Invincible War for a short time, and fought alongside other superheroes. This showed that he still cares about other people.
[Powers] Energy Absorption: Scott's most powerful ability was to absorb the energy from things like objects, explosions and other physical attacks. He could then use this energy for his own combat needs. At first, these powers were not very strong, and he could not absorb much energy. They were made much louder by using energy storage discs.
Superhuman Strength: Scott can absorb energy, which makes him extremely strong and able to do amazing things. He is strong enough to throw a man so hard that he would crash into a car.
Superhuman Durability: He can absorb kinetic energy, so he can't be hurt by attacks that use force or movement. He seems to be completely protected against these types of attacks. He can take a lot of hits and keep going, which would kill most people. He can take a hit from Invincible and turn the force of the blow into his own energy.Powerplex vs Invincible Powerplex electrocutes Invincible.
Energy Projection: Powerplex can use the energy he absorbs to create powerful blasts. His power was strong enough to hurt and briefly defeat Invincible, making him bleed. He was able to defeat an evil version of Invincible all by himself, by burning him to a crisp.
Flight: Scott moves quickly forwards by shooting energy bolts into the ground.
[Equipment] Energy Storage Discs: Scott stole some new technology and used it to improve his energy absorption abilities. The discs were attached directly to his body and cannot be safely removed.
[Weaknesses] Charge loss: You can stop Powerplex by holding him in place and preventing him from receiving any more kinetic energy, until he uses up all his charge and is no longer able to use his powers.
Non-kinetic attack: Powerplex can only be hurt or killed by attacks that have a physical force behind them. This means that he can be hurt or killed by attacks such as sound, lasers, strangulation or biochemical weapons, but not by non-physical attacks such as ones that use energy.
- #23Machine Head
Keys: Machine Head
Machine Head is a cyborg. He used to be the Crime Lord of Chicago, but he got overthrown by the people he was working with. He later gained power again after killing his criminal rival, Mister Liu, and becoming the new leader of his global organisation.
[Appearance] Machine Head is a thin person with light skin. As the name suggests, his head and neck are completely mechanical and made of a grey metal alloy. His face plate is black, with yellow lines around his mouth and eyes, and one line crossed over his forehead, like a Luchador's mask. His mouth and eyes are magenta, with a pink "T" shaped line on each eye which come together to form a "U" shape inside his mouth. When Machine Head senses what is going to happen in the future, a number of LED lights light up around the areas of his head.
As you would expect from a mob boss, Machine Head is smart and fancy. He is wearing a white buttoned suit with a white undershirt and white trousers, a pink neck tie and black shoes. While he was in prison, he wore the standard orange jumpsuit and trousers of the other prisoners, with a pair of black slippers.
Because he did not take care of his cybernetic parts while he was in prison, Machine Head's appearance became much worse and he looked tired. His right ear was sticking out a bit, his grey fur was getting darker and there was what looked like rust building up on his neck. All of these were fixed after they escaped, and he looked normal again.
[Personality] Machine Head seems to be a perfectionist, someone who is obsessed with money, easily annoyed, and heartless. His only concern is making as much money as possible and doesn't care about the number of people who get hurt or die because of his demands. This is best shown when you tell Titan that "sometimes you let people live when they need to die". This is probably a reference to the time Titan left a building instead of burning it down and leaving the people inside to die. He doesn't like failure or mistakes, so he reacts angrily and rudely, like when he got angry with his bodyguard Isotope for complaining about taking bullets for him. To go with his criminal behaviour, Machine Head is threatening and sneaky. He told Titan to keep working for him, but made it sound like it was the only choice. He was also calm when Titan almost punched him and casually reminded Titan that he could order the death of his family at any time.
Machine Head also enjoys luxuries and has no shame in showing off his wealth by wearing fine suits and Italian maple in his furniture and doors. Plus, his money makes him feel untouchable. He was completely relaxed and indifferent when Invincible broke into his office and was standing in front of him. He even says that it doesn't matter how powerful someone like Invincible is, since he's got enough money to hire as many allies as he wants.
After Titan beat him, Machine Head starts to respect him, even though he doesn't like him. He admits that Titan won and says he won't underestimate him again. This shows that even though Machine Head is a bad person, he can admit when someone deserves praise. He was also happy for Titan to leave the Order and continue his business in Chicago.
Machine Head is a cyborg (a human-made robot) of unknown origin (origin means where it came from) that controls a protection racket (a illegal business where money is exchanged for protection) in the city. He is also involved in drug trafficking, disguised as garbage disposal, and building insurance fraud, where he orders the destruction of buildings but stages them to look like accidents so he can collect the insurance money.
After hiring Titan and being impressed by how well he found a special microchip, Machine Head made Titan work for him full-time. He threatened Titan's family if he didn't.
Some time later, both Invincible and Titan planned to attack Machine Head. However, they were confused that he knew about the attack because of the microchip mentioned earlier. This microchip allowed him to predict the future and prepare by getting Battle Beast, Magmaniac, Kursk, Furnace and Tether Tyrant to protect him. During the fight with Invincible, Titan and later the Guardians of the Globe, Machine Head is protected by Isotope, but is later caught by the Global Defense Agency. There, Cecil Stedman uses a special pulse to remove the microchip.
More than a year after he was imprisoned at Payton Penitentiary, Titan visited him and told him that Mister Liu had been threatening him. At first, Machine Head told him how he felt, but the two later made a secret agreement. Machine Head would help Machine Head take over the Order, and in return, he would let him keep Chicago and his business to himself. Mister Liu (in his dragon form) attacked Payton to break out Multi-Paul. Machine Head escaped with Isotope and took him to his old tower, where he killed Mister Liu (in his human form). Later, he met with the Order and said he was their new leader. He felt very generous, so he let Titan go and run his criminal organisation. But he warned Titan not to ever try to double-cross him again, or his family would pay the price.
[Powers] Quantum Probabilities Upgrade: a temporary chip that was received from Titan, which allowed him to see quantum probabilities (in other words, he could read some futures). However, it was taken away by Cecil after it was switched off.
[Abilities] Leadership: Machine Head is a crime lord who can lead his own henchmen, including Isotope and other hired supervillains.
Tactician: Because of his quantum probabilities upgrade, Machine Head can make plans for any possible situation. He showed this when he hired supervillains before Titan betrayed him.
[Weaknesses] Easy to look after: Because of the mechanical parts of his body, Machine Head had to take care of his cybernetic components. While he was in prison, his head looked damaged because it wasn't being looked after properly. His right ear-piece was sticking out and what looked like rust was spreading on his neck. Even worse, he sometimes coughed during conversations.
Cecil used a club that sent out an electric pulse to stop Machine Head and take out the stolen microchip from his head.
- #24Titan
Titan is a supporting villain in Invincible, appearing from Season 1 onwards. He is married to Vanessa and is Fiona's dad.
He was a bad guy who used to work for Machine Head, a crime lord who he was in debt to. When Machine Head wouldn't let him out of his debt, he teamed up with Invincible and the Guardians of the Globe to defeat him. After Machine Head was defeated, Titan took over his organisation and became a crime boss to provide for his family and the people of Chicago. Chicago eventually became a better place for all neighbourhoods that were underprivileged. Even though criminals continued to commit crimes, it was very important to follow the strict rules. This meant that not many lives were lost.
[Appearance] When he's not using his powers, Titan looks like a muscular African-American man who is taller than average. He doesn't have any hair and before he became a crime boss, he usually wore a grey hoodie and dark grey sweatpants. After he took charge of Machine Head's criminal group, he started wearing a smart black tuxedo with a grey tie.
As Titan, he would usually stop wearing his grey hoodie and go out without a shirt, and his exterior body would turn rock-like. He wouldn't have any noticeable facial features, but he'd still be able to see, speak and hear. After taking over Machine Head's organisation, he would usually wear the same suit he does when he isn't using his abilities. It is a nice black tuxedo with a grey tie.
[Personality] Unlike Machine Head, he might be a ruthless crime lord, but he has a sense of honour. He only kills when he has to and always helps people who need it. When he meets superheroes, he doesn't look down on them. He shows respect for his occasional friend, Invincible, and is really worried about his injuries when he's fighting Machine Head's army. His main focus is on his family and the people of Chicago, and he works hard to improve their lives. He doesn't seem to have much ambition and doesn't seem interested in working with the Order and their criminal activities around the world.
[Powers] It has a unique way of working. Titan can change the structure of his body. He can turn his whole body into a rock-like skin, including his face. But he can't do the same with his clothes.
Superhuman Strength: Titan has superhuman strength, much greater than normal humans. He is strong in his legs, which let him jump really high.
Superhuman Durability: His hard, rocky outer shell makes him bulletproof and able to resist high amounts of pressure.
This product makes you more physically fit and able to exercise for longer. Titan can handle a little pain and injury. He is able to keep fighting even after being attacked by people with superpowers.
Titan has great stamina, meaning he can fight for a long time.
This product makes things faster. Despite his tough exterior, Titan is as fast as ever and can move quickly in a fight.
[Abilities] Titan is good at hand-to-hand combat. He often uses his powers and street-fighting techniques to beat his enemies.
Master Tactician/High-Level Intelligence: People often underestimate Titan because they see his powers and think he is a brute. But he is very clever and able to trick Invincible twice, to beat his boss Machine Head and the head of The Order, to accomplish his goals. He outsmarted Machine Head, who can see every possibility, by using the latter's low opinion of him to his advantage, and betraying him in order to secure power and wealth for himself.
Leadership: Titan was able to take charge of Machine Head's organisation on his own. He made the city safer and better for a lot of people, but only if he was the only one responsible for any crime.

- #26Global Defense Agency
Keys: The Global Defense Agency, GDA, Global Defense Agency, G.D.A
The Global Defense Agency (G.D.A.) is a paramilitary law enforcement intelligence agency. Headquartered inside The Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, they are presumably affiliated with the United States federal government, though they operate both domestically and internationally. They are currently being managed by Director Cecil Stedman and his right-hand officer Donald Ferguson.
This organization is responsible for protecting the Earth from various criminal, extraterrestrial, paranormal and supernatural threats, as well as monitoring superpowered individuals. They sponsor the Guardians of the Globe and frequently employ many other superheroes around the world in order to combat international organized crime, supervillain terrorism, monster attacks, and alien invasions.
The Global Defense Agency is primarily funded and staffed by the United States of America. Yet, the organization's reach is not constrained to any defined nation or borders. With assets across the globe the G.D.A. is capable of striking targets from the deep dark corners of outer space to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis.
In order to accomplish the task of containing threats, monitoring and supervising supernatural and super-powered individuals, and maintaining the Earth's safety the G.D.A. possesses numerous facilities and vehicles. The organization utilizes enhanced equipment (some of questionable ethical origin) in order to supplement or substitute the abilities of superheroes.
The resources and equipment of the G.D.A. are vast. The gigantic operation mostly conducted beneath the Pentagon is likely to result in a gigantic budget. This is put to good use as humanity is protected from the numerous threats from and beyond Earth. Unfortunately, when faced with threats such as Viltrumites even a bottomless defense budget isn't effective. In some cases, if the troops are unable to withstand Viltrumite-like opponents, the director will use more defensive means of accomplishing the goals of safeguarding the earth.
[Special Equipment]
Stealth-Armor (Utilized by G.D.A. agents to ambush targets)
Teleportation Bracelets (Used by Cecil to attempt to converse with a compromised Omni-Man)
Hover Stretchers (Floating stretchers used to transport wounded people)
Drones (Used for reconnaissance and long-distance communication)
Cybernetic endoskeletons (Made by Cecil to prevent human deaths)
Bio Therm Discs (Made from the G.D.A Scientists, for absorbing kinetic energy)
Special Weapons
The Hammer: An orbital satellite that is equipped to fire laser beams that are capable of eviscerating anything in its target. It cost around $400 billion and was destroyed by Omni-Man.
Cecil's Y-Blaster: A modified laser rifle, originated from the Flaxans.
Sonic Emitters: Equipment created from the shrieks of an underwater creature, meant to combat Viltrumite enemies after one of their weaknesses was finally identified. They project a sonic frequency that disrupts a Viltrumite's equilibrium and causes them immense pain, even having the potential to kill them.
Cecil's Kill Switch: A switch linked to a Sonic Frequency Device, made as fail-safe to incapacitate and even kill Invincible should he go out of the GDA's control. The switch activated a device that was planted directly inside Invincible's head during his stay in the GDA hospital which emitted a harmful frequency that he was unable to block out. This device was disabled and removed, however, following a falling out and fight between Invincible and the Guardians of the Globe against Cecil.
ReAnimen: Former humans who have been altered to create mechanical, undead beings with extraordinary strength and speed. They were used after D.A. Sinclair was apprehended by Invincible.
Hail Mary: A gigantic Kaiju that was able to make Omni-Man struggle in a previous fight. Was recovered and enhanced by the GDA to be saved for insanely strong enemies.
Demonius Ex Mortem: Roughly translated to "demon out of death", an ancient tome used to banish Damien Darkblood back to hell.
Bio Therm Discs: Specialized energy storage devices that could hold large amounts of power. These were then stolen and utilized by former GDA scientist, Scott Duvall, combined with his existing energy absorption abilities to become the supervillain Powerplex in his vengeful crusade against Invincible.
Vehicles
The Global Defense Agency utilizes numerous types of vehicles in order to accomplish its goals. If a superhero or the Guardians of the Globe are present, the G.D.A. provides support in order to supplement their abilities. In cases that superheroes are not available or unwilling to act, it is often G.D.A. units that contain the situation.
APC (Stationed at the white house in case of another attack)
G.D.A. Helicopters (Lightly armed transport helos)
G.D.A. Vtols (Utilized by rapid-response agents to deal with threats)
G.D.A. Jets (Rapid-response strike aircraft)
Lockheed Martin F-16 Falcons (Seen as escorts for Omni-Man's speech)
Unnamed VTOL Aircrafts (Presumably to transport teams of agents)
- #27Guardians Of Globe base
Keys: The Guardians of the Globe, Guardians, The Guardians
The Guardians Headquarters is the base of the Guardians of the Globe, which is funded by the Global Defense Agency.
[Background] The Original Guardians would use this base to discuss, train or plan their next moves in case the world was in danger. While the guardians were busy with their own work, they would all receive calls on their wristwatches. These calls would tell them to go to Guardians HQ.
When all the guardians arrived, Immortal asked Darkwing, who had come last, some questions. But Darkwing didn't know either, and the guardians started to think they might be trapped. Then Red Rush saw a dark figure trying to hit Immortal, but Red Rush stopped him just in time. Then the figure revealed himself to be Omni-Man. War Woman shouts and is the first of the Guardians to attack Omni-Man. Omni-Man is hit by Darkwing, Aquarus and Red Rush. Then he grabs Darkwing by the wrist and smashes his head brutally against a wall. The other Guardians are horrified.
Martian Man and War Woman (who is also known as Immortal) attack Nolan together. Omni-Man frees himself and keeps getting stronger and killing more of them. He smashes Darkwing's head against the floor, making him bleed a lot, and then distracts Green Ghost, who catches her colleague's body and uses it to hit Omni-Man. He uses her body as protection against Aquarius's attack and, after dealing with War Woman's strong hit, kills him with her mace. An angry Martian Man once again traps and subdues Omni-Man for a short time while the two remaining Guardians, The Immortal and War Woman, beat him up, making him bleed. Eventually, Omni-Man rips Martian Man's core to pieces, punches a hole through The Immortal's stomach, and breaks War Woman's neck. The last Guardian to live, The Immortal stares at him, still conscious, and asks him, not very strongly but in a weak voice, what made him commit the rampage. Omni-Man decapitates him without saying anything, and then he is so tired that he falls down among the bodies of his betrayed friends.
The GDA discovered the terrible consequences and saved Nolan, while Director Cecil and Donald conducted an investigation with Damien Darkblood. The GDA asks Robot to help train new Guardians of the Globe members: Rae, Dupli-Kate, Monster Girl, Rex Splode and Atom Eve all turn down the offer. They don't want to be with Kate and Rex on the front lines.
New Generation: The robot and the new members are invited to the Guardian's main office, where Black Samson is still as amazed as he used to be, since he used to be an original member. Cecil then tells them to get their jaws out, because this isn't a tour and they need to show the world what they're made of.
For the last year and a half, Robot's team had been struggling. This had led Cecil to ask the Immortal (who had survived his attack with Omni-Man) to lead the team. Bulletproof and Shapesmith were the new members.
- #28Viltrum Empire
Keys: Viltrum, Viltrum Empire, Empire
The Viltrum Empire is the main enemy in Invincible. They are an Empire of space fighters and world conquerors who want to make their domain bigger and rule the galaxy, or even the whole universe.
Viltrumite Warships: The Viltrumites have built endless ships, enough to travel to planets across the universe in just a few days.
Some of the bad guys in the Viltrum Empire are like other fictional groups, like the Decepticons from Transformers, Darkseid's Elite from DC Comics, the Frieza Force from Dragon Ball Z, the Fire Nation from Avatar, and the Galactic Empire from Star Wars. The Viltrum Empire is the first space army faction that appears in the show, and then the Flaxans come along.
- #29Rognarrs
Keys: Rognarrs, Rognarr
The Rognarrs are wild, non-human alien creatures and one of the most physically powerful species in the universe.
[Appearance] Rognarrs are a type of alien that look like reptiles and have a dinosaur-like appearance. Their bodies are orange and red, with darker brown markings that spread from their shoulders and cover their arms, legs and tails. They have sharp teeth, claws, long tongues, and have blank yellow eyes.
After the Scourge Virus, Nolan first met the Rognarrs while looking for their planet for the Viltrum Empire. They had killed Nolan's unnamed partner and were able to subdue him almost immediately, putting his life in extreme danger. The Rognarrs could easily tear flesh from his bones, pin him down, and leap great distances to catch him when he tried to fly away. We don't know how Nolan survived, but this experience made him very scared of the wild animals.
A long time later, in 2002, Nolan came to Earth. He was looking for a job writing books to pay his bills and mortgage. He wrote several fictional books based on his own experiences as a soldier of the Viltrum Empire. One of these books was called "Savage Planet, Savage Beasts", based on his first encounter with the Rognarrs. Art Rosenbaum said that he never sold any of his science fiction novels, so he stopped trying to write them.
In late 2023, after recovering from his injuries from his last fight against several Viltrumites, Allen the Alien returned to Earth, where he met with Invincible. Invincible told him about his father's books, believing that they could help. Allen read one of the books and realised that it was factual information that would help the Coalition, so he used a scanner to make a copy.
[Powers] Rognarr's Physiology: Rognar's body has adapted to the extreme gravity of their planet. This means they have great physical abilities.
Superhuman Strength: They are very strong because of their home planet, and they are one of only a few beings that can hurt or kill a Viltrumite.
Superhuman Durability: They are very strong and hard to destroy, even by the strongest Viltrumites.
Superhuman Endurance: Because they live on a harsh planet, these creatures are very strong and can last a long time, which is similar to the Viltrumites.
Superhuman Speed: Rognarrs can move very quickly on their home planet, which has much higher gravity. This slows down other beings.
- #30Flaxans
Keys: Flaxans, Flaxan
The Flaxans are a race of beings from another dimension. They wanted to conquer Earth and kill its humans. They tried to invade Earth three times through a portal (which they invented) and killed lots of civilians. Each time they arrived, the Flaxans were defeated by Earth's superheroes, mainly Invincible and the Teen Team.
First attempt to conquer Earth: The Flaxans try to invade Earth for the first time. They teleport into the city centre and start killing every human they see. The police try to fight back, but they are easily outgunned and outnumbered by the Flaxans. Invincible sees one of the Flaxans about to kill an old woman and throws a piece of debris at it, hurting the Flaxan. This Flaxan will later become one of the leading generals in the invasions that follow. Invincible saves the old woman, but she ends up in a bad way after tripping over while flying. Right after this, the injured Flaxan gets into one of the tanks and aims at Invincible. But then Atom Eve saves Invincible by deflecting the laser. The rest of the Teen Team arrives, but they are outnumbered by the Flaxans and cannot fight them off. However, the Flaxans start to die of old age because the time on their planet and on Earth is very different. This results in the deaths of a lot of the enemy soldiers. The rest of the Flaxans get away through the portal they came through, including the Flaxan hurt by Invincible.
Aftermath: After the battle, the GDA start to clean up the area and find out that the Flaxans are initially weak to Earth's timestream.
Second Attempt: The Flaxans try to invade Earth again. The Flaxan, who was previously injured and unable to fight, has now recovered and is leading the invasion.
The Flaxans have better technology and have studied the powers of the Teen Team. They send out guards with powerful laser weapons, and they wear wristbands that stop them from getting old because of the time travel on Earth. It took them three days to attack again. For the Flaxans, however, it was decades. The Teen Team has little to no chance of winning, until Invincible realises that destroying their wristbands makes them get older. The robot checks the wristbands and sees that they have a frequency of 49,000 Kilohertz. This lets him emit a frequency that quickly destroys all the wristbands. The Flaxans are once again beaten, but the leader gets away.
Third Attempt: The Flaxans come back for a third attempt to invade, and they have advanced technology that even Invincible cannot stop. Their leader now wears armour that looks like a mech, and the Flaxans have made themselves immune to the Earth's timestream. The Teen Team tries to fight back, but they can't. Invincible is pinned down by the leader. Just as Invincible is about to be beaten to death, Omni-Man arrives to save him, throwing the attacker off.
Although the Flaxan forces shoot at Omni-Man, their attacks don't work. He starts to fight back, beating the attackers and scaring them away. Instead of letting them get away, Omni-Man follows the Flaxans through their portal and attacks their civilisation. He kills the leader and many other Flaxans.
Later, some of the remaining Flaxans are forced by Omni-Man to reopen the portal to send him back to Earth. As they comply, they are crushed by a giant piece of ground that Omni-Man has left behind, which falls on them.
Later, the GDA were able to rebuild an artificial hand-held rifle using some of the spare parts from the Flaxans, which Cecil had briefly used when he found out that Omni-Man had murdered the Guardians of the Globe.
Getting ready for the return: The Flaxans are seen again later, although a lot more time has passed in their world. They are working to rebuild their planet and cities while planning to get revenge against Earth and Omni-Man, unaware that Omni-Man has left Earth.
Brief Hinderance: At some point, their plan to take over Earth was stopped or continued in another reality. This happened when Invincible, an evil character, went to the Flaxan homeworld and took one of the soldiers' uniforms. This meant that their plans to take over Earth were on hold for now.
[Powers] The Flaxans don't have any special powers, but they have lots of technology and weapons. Because of the faster passage of time on their planet, a few minutes on Earth feel like years for them. This meant they had lots of time to study their enemies and make powerful tools to use against them. But this also meant that they aged much faster while they were on Earth. But they were able to use their technology to solve this problem in the end.
[Culture] The Flaxans' culture on their homeworld is all about war and trying to take over other planets. The Flaxans are a ruthless, merciless and cruel species. They are very warlike and do not want to negotiate or coexist peacefully with other species they view as inferior. They invade planets without warning and treat the inhabitants very cruelly. The Flaxans also have no problem killing innocent people. They hunt down and murder innocent men, women and children just for fun.
Unlike most other civilisations, Flaxans do not speak English. They have their own unique language that they use to communicate. The robot was the only one known to understand the Flaxan language, because it had figured out how to understand it by studying how it was built.
- #31Lizard League
Keys: Lizard League, Lizards, The Lizard League
The Lizard League are a lizard-themed supervillain terrorist group. They are adversaries of several superhero teams, including the Fight Force and the Guardians of the Globe.
Background Information: The Lizard League has been around for many years and has run into multiple superhero teams during that time. It is unknown how the Lizard League was originally formed, or even when that happened, precisely. While commonly referred to as a joke on social media and across the superhero community, they are most certainly not to be underestimated, and that has been proved time and time again.
Immediately prior to the birth of Atom Eve, Dr. Elias Brandyworth leaked information of a serum being developed at a government facility to the Lizard League. His goal was simple: create a distraction so that him and Polly could escape. The League used an explosive device to get into the building and beegin their search.
However, unfortunately for the League, the Guardians of the Globe, with the exception of a few busy members, quickly showed up. The two teams then fought on relatively equal footing, with the Guardians having the upper hand more times than not, until Omni-Man appeared and quickly turned the tide all the way for the heroes. While the outcome of the battle is unknown, it is more than likely that Nolan and the Guardians came out on top.
Fight Force Fray: Some time later, the Lizard League fought the superhero team Fight Force and defeated them easily.
Snake-A-Nator Confrontation: The group went on to have a confrontation with the New Guardians of the Globe because they were trying to turn civilians into snakes using a specialized gun. Even though the League was defeated, the Guardians failed to contain the civilian casualties. The most notable example of that was Rex Splode and Monster Girl failing to prevent a bus full of children from crashing while Dupli-Kate didn't consider shielding civilians from King Lizard’s Snake-A-Nator gun. That lapse of judgment led to several people being turned into snakes. It is possibly due to this interaction that King Lizard was arrested by the Global Defense Agency, causing a shift in power in the Lizard League.
The Lizard League reappeared not long after the Omni-Man vs. Invincible events in Chicago, with their target being a bio-research lab outside of Dallas, Texas. It turned out that Supreme Lizard had seized the leadership position while King Lizard was incarcerated. The Guardians were then sent in to take down the team, which they did, with the help of new hero, Shapesmith.
Shortly after their defeat, the Lizard League made it to their headquarters somewhere out in the woods. It was there that Supreme Lizard gave a typical pretentious speech that Iguana was visibly unimpressed by. Right at what was presumably the end of his speech, King Lizard unexpectedly showed up and shot Supreme Lizard in the head, killing him almost instantly. King Lizard then assumed leadership over his fellow team members, Salamander, Iguana, and Komodo Dragon, and their army of seemingly more than 300 mind-controlled humans.
With King Lizard now leading the team, the League was left craving a win more than ever before. So, when the strongest Guardians, as well as Atom Eve and Invincible, were coincidentally off-Earth dealing with an approaching Sequids invasion, the League infiltrated a nuclear missile silo. The break-in itself had Iguana kill a sergeant and lower-ranking official, prior to using an explosive device to let Komodo Dragon, King Lizard, Salamander, and an armed group of the aforementioned human minions. Right then, the sergeant, who had managed to live on for a few moments after the clawed attack, pressed the alert button above him. However, to the surprise of the rest of the League, King Lizard was happy with the button being pressed, as he figured it would only speed things up a bit.
While King Lizard declared that they could nuke New York, Los Angeles, or Chicago if the government did not comply with their demands, Shrinking Rae in her small form showed up and opened the sliding door in the back by landing on a switch, revealing Rex Splode and several clones of Dupli-Kate. Then, the Dupli-Kate clones fought the hulking Komodo Dragon, Rex Splode fought the agile Iguana, and Shrinking Rae fought the fearless Salamander.
Due to the strength and durability discrepancy between Komodo Dragon and Dupli-Kate, the latter’s clones were getting killed quickly; not very long into the battle, the final two Dupli-Kate clones there were crushed together by Komodo Dragon. Then, after Rae irately killed Salamander by going in one of his eyes and leaving out the other, she jumped to Komodo Dragon, who caught her, threw her in his mouth, and began swallowing her. However, Rae grew to her human size while inside of Komodo Dragon, but her enemy’s durability persevered, and Rae had been digested. Subsequently, Iguana went after Rex, but was killed by one of the hero’s rods that he produced explosive charges on, only after evading three of them. Afterwards, Rex and Komodo Dragon fought, but the latter was killed when he bit off and attempted to consume the former’s hand, which was holding a small, charged object.
While Rex was hysterically and emotionally laughing, unable to wrap his head around what had just occurred, King Lizard appeared, pointed a pistol at the back of the hero’s head, and taunted him, to which he responded by just telling him to shoot him, which he did immediately.
Full of confidence, the King called back the government to tell them he was still in charge, having killed all the heroes, but Rex unexpectedly stood back up, stumbling around in a confusionary state, only to angrily attack the King, grab him with his remaining hand, and repeatedly bash his exposed left forearm bones into his face, killing him, before collapsing again on the ground.
