Groudon is believed to be the personification of the land itself, and is said to be the creator of the Pokémon world's continents. Groudon is an immensely powerful Pokémon, having the ability to summon intense droughts and cause volcanic eruptions. The droughts he can cause allow him to evaporate water, while the volcanic eruptions he can summon enable him to create land. Groudon was hailed as a savior for evaporating flooded areas of the world. Groudon can travel on water by using the magma to form a path. Despite being considered a savior by many, Groudon's attitude is by far the roughest out of the weather trio, and he is not afraid to show such fact. Normally, Groudon is rude, tough and violent, insulting and belittling others who try to oppose or mock his strength. If he encounters its rival, Kyogre, they will engage in a cataclysmic battle, which can only be stopped by the intervention of Rayquaza.
