1. #1Slender Mansion

   Keys: Mansion, Slender Mansion

   Entry settings

The Slender Mansion stands deep within an isolated and largely inaccessible stretch of forest known simply as the Slender Woods. The mansion itself is an imposing structure, unmistakably old, with architectural elements indicative of late Victorian gothic design yet bearing an unsettling distortion that defies typical construction logic. Its façade is covered in creeping ivy and patches of blackened stone, suggesting decades, if not centuries, of neglect and slow decay. Windows are tall and narrow, most without glass, some shattered, revealing a dark void within. The roof is steep and peaked but asymmetrical, with some sections appearing warped or unnaturally elongated.

The mansion’s interior reveals long corridors lined with faded wallpaper, peeling and stained by time and moisture. The floorboards creak irregularly, as though responding to unseen movements. Rooms vary wildly in size and function—some grand and cavernous, others cramped and claustrophobic. Notably, the spatial layout is non-Euclidean; hallways loop back onto themselves or vanish abruptly, and staircases occasionally lead to impossible places, confounding conventional navigation. The mansion seems alive in its shifting architecture, resisting mapping or consistent description.

The ambient light within the mansion fluctuates independent of external conditions. It is often dim, with flickering shadows cast by candles that burn with an unnatural blue flame. Silence dominates, broken only by distant, unidentifiable noises—soft whispers, footsteps without a source, or the occasional low hum that seems to emanate from the walls themselves.

Surrounding the mansion, the Woods form a dense, ancient forest with gnarled trees that tower impossibly high. The canopy is thick, allowing scarce sunlight to filter through during the day. The forest floor is blanketed in a thick layer of dead leaves, moss, and twisted roots, making footing treacherous and disorienting. The trees bear no identifiable species, their bark and leaves subtly shifting in appearance as if the forest itself adapts to observe intruders. Occasional fog clings stubbornly to the ground, especially near the mansion’s base, and tends to thicken without warning, obscuring vision and muffling sound.

The environment is notable for its unique and irregular day/night cycle. Time within the Slender Woods does not align with external temporal flow. The “day” manifests as a dull, muted twilight where the sky—visible through rare canopy gaps—is always overcast with swirling grey clouds. During this period, shadows are long but inconsistent, moving in directions that conflict with the position of the sun, which itself is often obscured or absent. The “night” phase plunges the forest and mansion into near-complete darkness, yet it is not a true absence of light. Instead, a faint phosphorescent glow emanates from the vegetation and insects, casting an eerie luminescence across the landscape. This glow reveals strange symbols etched into tree trunks and the occasional glimpse of unnatural, tall silhouettes among the trees.

The transition between day and night within the forest is unpredictable, lasting anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, with no apparent rhythm or cycle. Time inside the mansion and woods is disjointed; prolonged exposure often causes individuals to lose track of elapsed time, contributing to confusion and disorientation.

The Slender Mansion itself is the epicenter of the forest’s anomalies. It acts as a locus of supernatural influence, bending reality within its vicinity. This influence extends to the forest, where animals behave erratically or are entirely absent, replaced by shadows or figures glimpsed just beyond sight. The mansion’s presence seems to warp the senses, causing auditory and visual hallucinations that mimic whispered voices or distant footsteps.

In this setting, the Slender Mansion functions not merely as a physical structure but as a nexus of otherworldly power and control. It is inextricably linked to the enigmatic entity known as Slender Man, whose influence permeates every corner of the estate and surrounding woods. The mansion is a command center, a prison, and a sanctum where reality itself is malleable, enforcing a realm where normal laws cease to apply.

   Entry settings

Slenderman invades the mental safety of his prey by appearing inside their house, outside their home, on roads they travel, at their place of work when they are alone or ensuring only the victim can see him, or while the target is sleeping. The sporadic and unexpected nature of these manifestations causes fear and unease, which eventually can grow into incredible paranoia. This period of stalking can last anywhere from several minutes to decades. The longer Slender Man stalks a victim, the greater the strain on their mental health, which may be one of his goals.

Prolonged stalking causes what has been named “Slender Sickness,” which is both a mental and physical ailment and can cause paranoia, nightmares, coughing and difficulty swallowing, convulsions, exhaustion, vomiting, hallucinations, etc. The physical symptoms naturally affect an individual’s mental health, but it is believed that Slender Man exerts a direct effect on the mind as well.

4. #4Proxies

   Keys: Proxies

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Proxies are individuals bound to the Slender Mansion and the entity known as Slender Man, acting as agents or extensions of his will. They exhibit a range of behaviors and levels of autonomy, but all serve the overarching purpose of furthering Slender Man’s influence in the physical world.

Functionally, proxies serve as hunters, watchers, or wardens. They are tasked with seeking out trespassers, maintaining the secrecy of the mansion, and enforcing Slender Man’s commands. Their presence often correlates with increased anomalies in the environment, and prolonged exposure to a proxy induces fear, hallucinations, and disorientation in others.

Proxies are rarely aware of their full condition or purpose; many retain fragmented memories of their past lives, twisted by the mansion’s influence. Attempts to sever a proxy’s connection to Slender Man typically result in physical or psychological breakdown.

(Personality - "sadistic & psychotic" "deceptive & manipulative" "enjoys trickery & control" "emotional under threat or loss of control" "uses reverse psychology" "short-tempered & demanding" Sometimes: "childlike" "enjoys childhood games")

BEN was created from the spirits of the Moon Children, when Jadusable acquired the haunted Majora’s Mask cartridge. These spirits formed a network called the Behavioral Event Network (BEN). Ben’s own spirit was sealed inside the Elegy of Emptiness statue, preventing direct interaction with others. Jadusable first encountered BEN through strange activity in the game, including the statue’s appearance and alterations that switched Majora’s Mask to Ocarina of Time. BEN used phrases like “You shouldn't have done that...” and tricked Jadusable into deeper gameplay. It escaped Jadusable’s control by tricking him into sharing files, then took over his YouTube channel to form the Moon Children cult. BEN used cryptic ciphers and music to influence cult events and communicated through hidden files and videos, hinting at its deeper control. After a long dormancy, BEN resurfaced in 2020, revealing it contained multiple distinct spirits capable of interacting internally. The spirits argued about whether certain videos should be shared publicly. BEN’s attempts to communicate—such as the statue’s appearances—were driven by Ben’s desire to reach Jadusable, not to cause harm. Moon Children characters’ dialogue mirrored these internal conflicts, deepening the lore.

Tim Wright, a central and mysterious figure in Marble Hornets, was a friend of missing cast member Brian and the person behind the Masky persona. Masky is a major recurring character and plot driver, often seen opposing The Operator, making him unlikely to be a proxy. Masky’s actions, like saving Jay and Jessica, hint at a more complex role than a simple antagonist. Tim may have been stalked by The Operator since childhood, with memory blackouts preventing him from recalling his time as Masky or knowledge of The Operator until later entries. In Entry #85, antagonist Alex burns Tim’s apartment, forcing Tim to escape with only his car keys and medication. In Entry #86, Tim fights Alex at Benedict Hall; The Operator intervenes but Tim gains the upper hand and fatally stabs Alex. Entry #87 confirms Tim survives and plans to leave, uploading a cryptic “Everything is fine” video.

His fate is uncertain—he is seen wandering a burned building before being assaulted by The Operator and dragged away, leaving his status unknown. Earlier tapes show Brian interacting with Alex and Tim before these events. Brian also assumes the persona “Hoody” (or Hoodie), a mysterious figure appearing throughout the series. Hoody acts violently, attacking Alex and stalking Tim, even stealing Tim’s seizure medication. Hoody demonstrates superhuman speed and disappears suddenly during chases. Hoody’s identity remains ambiguous until late in the series when Tim battles him, ultimately pushing him to his death. The photo shows a dog-like creature (similar to a Siberian husky) with a sinister, wide, human-like grin, illuminated by camera flash in a dark room with a beckoning human hand visible. By 17, he started conducting his own tests on animals, growing obsessed with the idea of infecting humans. One night, he built a weaponized bat, donned a gas mask and goggles, and killed a random family—injecting the last victim with a lethal virus and watching him die with satisfaction. When Cody confessed to his adoptive father, hoping for understanding, he was met with horror. In response, Cody killed him and stole virus samples from the lab. After testing them on more victims, he fled to the woods. There, he encountered Ticci Toby, who recognized him and welcomed him. When asked his name, Cody instinctively called himself X-Virus, realizing he'd finally found someone like him.
