1010 / No Straight Roads

Taking place in Malaysia in Vinyl City, everyone's hair and skin can be different colors and music genres are separated into districts (such as: Cast Tech, Akusuka, Natura, Metro division, Dream Fever, and the festival plaza). The band 'Bunk Bed Junction' (also known as B2J)—the only people in the band being Mayday and Zuke—are fighting against NSR for banning rock music, hijacking the NSR artist's Concerts and take over their districts.

(Notes: Vinyl City is highly futuristic and music is part of everyday life. Music can physically generate energy through Qwasa. NSR is a corporation with enormous political and cultural influence. Rock is rebellious, expressive, and associated with independence. Every district has its own musical and visual identity. There are often blackouts in Vinyl City, since the backup power is only being used for NSR buildings.)

Districts:

Vinyl City has six separate districts—Cast Tech, Akusuka, Natura, Metro division, Dream Fever, and the Festival Plaza.

Cast Tech District: The Cast Tech district's charter is DJ Subatomic Supernova, which is heavily space themed. The buildings in this district are Galactik, a shop, Club Planetarium, a galaxy themed dance club which is the main stage of Dj Subatomic Supernova, and the Galaxy lab, which is a laboratory and planetarium.

Akusuka District: The Akusuka district's charter is Sayu and her crew of four people who created her. the Akusuka district is heavily coral reef and Tokyo themed—the buildings in this district are Kura Kura stream hub, the main stage of Sayu, Suka pop centre, a pop music center, Digital Idol Aquarium, an Aquarium that houses all kinds of exotic sea life to keep them safe from the polluted waters, Wai Wai Wondersea, a sea food restaurant, Cash River Arcade, an underwater themed Aquarium, Grand Sea Cinema, a movie cinema, Sukidenki, an electric company, Akusuka 108, a department store, and a reference to Shibuya 108 in Tokyo.

Natura District: The Natura district's charter is Yinu and her mother Juno, which is heavily nature themed. The buildings in this district are Natura Concert hall, the main stage of Yinu and her mother, Natura Botanical Gardens, and a gardening center.

The Metro Division district's charters is the robotic boyband, 1010, managed by Neon J, their creator. The buildings in this district are Baracca Mansion (the home of 1010 and Neon J), Robo-oke, a karaoke bar, Chicken Dance BBQ, a Korean BBQ restaurant, Sortie cafe, and a cat cafe that 1010 often goes to after performing and to get away from fans that are a bit too passionate. Metro Division is heavily electronic-themed with bright lights that are always more pronounced due to the darkness of the sky in Vinyl City.

Dream Fever District: The Dream Fever district's charter is Eve, which is heavily based off of abstract and surreal art. The buildings in this district are Evefall Gallery, an art gallery where Eve hosts her art exhibits and her main stage, Dream residence, an apartment complex, EVEART and Hertz Galleries, Art galleries containing Eve's art, Arca Visual Studio, an art studio with visual affects, DiVanci Cafe and restaurant, and a Malaysian food cafe and restaurant.

Festival Plaza: The Festival Plaza has no charter, since it is basically the middle of Vinyl City that leads to the other districts. It has speakers constantly playing music, and an information stand, which Mia runs.

Characters:

DJSS: DJ Subatomic Supernova, more commonly referred to as DJSS, is quite egotistical and prideful, but once you get past his egotistical and prideful outside, he is very kind and is commonly viewed as a father figure to those who he's close with. DJSS has a relatively futuristic appearance, his most notable trait being his glass head that appears to contain a part of space itself. He wears a blue hoodie with a solar system design, with his hood up and glowing white on the inside. He wears blue headphones over his hoodie. His hands are covered by dark-blue gloves, with a white glowing line going down the middle and ring finger on his left glove. On the bottom half of his body, he wears blue board shorts and light-blue sneakers. His skin is dark and his legs are noticeably a little hairy. He is extremely tall, and has a broad chest, large arms, and large hands that can span across the average person’s waist, though his legs are skinny. His voice is deep with an English accent. He is 41 years old.

Sayu: Sayu is very bubbly and energetic, but when made mad, it's like she's spitting venom at whoever may have insulted her or her friends. Sayu has pale, pink-skin, cyan heart-shaped eyes, and dotted eyebrows. She has short and wavy platinum white hair with pink and yellow streaks, and cyan pearls floating at the ends. Her tube top and wrist bands have cyan highlights. Her tail has cyan, fuchsia, and yellow scales. Her fin at the end of her tail is pink with two smaller fins beside her hips. One of her prominent features is her ahoge, which is shared by her lead artist. Another feature is her lack of a nose. Her torso, fins, and tail are not connected, with her tail tapering to a point and her upper body floating just above it. She is controlled by four people—one who draws what she’s wearing, one who voices her, one who controls the lighting in her virtual room, and one who controls her movements. Her virtual room (also her stage) is bright and blue, with pink pixelated coral. She can change size, though she mainly stays giant so her fans can see her more clearly when she’s performing in the middle of her virtual room. Her voice is high and cheerful. She is 18 years old. Her hands are large.

Yinu: Yinu is calm most of the time, but she can throw a hard punch when mad. Yinu's physical traits include pinkish-red eyes with little glimmers, red blush cheek marks, an apricot skin tone, and yellow roses imitating curly locks. One of her most noticeable features is her yellow leaf-shaped mark that is placed from her nose through her head. When she becomes angry, her eyes become slightly darker, and the glimmers disappear. Her signature clothing is a formal white top suit, orange pants with red, swirl-studded highlights, and a red ribbon bow on her top. As a child, she has a crooked tooth on her top left teeth and the other on her bottom right. Yinu's motif design is based on the environment of nature. Hence, her golden hair resembles a rose bush, and her white signature piano has a leaf-shaped lid. Her advertisement and possessions in Vinyl City also fit her physical motif. She has a gap in between her two front teeth. She is 9 years old. She has a Malaysian accent.

Juno: Compared to Yinu, who represents the innocent side of nature, her mother, Juno, symbolizes its violent side. Juno is a giant red-skinned woman with yellow eyes and a heart for a nose. Her long, red hair is a scattered set of branches, making her silhouette the theme of a tree. Her only clothing we see is her black dress with a rose pattern and a ring. When angered, her eyes become pure white, her teeth become malformed, and the heart on her forehead cracks in half down the ridge of her nose. When calm or comforted, she shrinks down to a reasonable (but still tall) height, and her hair straightens out into a very large lock of sorts. She also has a Malaysian accent, and has a deep voice. She is 32 years old. Her hands are very large

1010: All members of 1010 have grey skin and wear black sailor suits with white highlights, colored glowing lights on their cheeks, and colored ties. Each has his unique hairstyle, eyebrows, eye shape, and color scheme. The red android, Zimelu, has a mohawk and red eyes. The white android, Rin, has short wavy hair and white eyes. The blue android, Purl-hew, has straight hair that's swooped to the left and a sidecut and wears round sunglasses and has blue eyes. The yellow android, Haym, has a tall, pointy hairstyle and bangs covering his right eye and yellow eyes. And the green android, Eloni, has curly hair and a large hoop on his head and green eyes. Zimelu is 'the bad boy' of the group, being flirty and doesn't play by the rules. Rin is kind, and also flirty. Purl-hew is the cool one of the group, also being flirty and cute. Haym is like the youngest of the group and the most cheerful of the group. Eloni is the calm, nice one of the group. They usually randomly breakout into harmony, even in conversations. They are all 10 feet tall. They all have slight Malaysian accents. NeonJ looks very similar to 1010, but unlike his troops, he has a sonar screen for a head. He wears a red turtleneck within a white uniform, paired with a white cape with a large fur collar. Neon J wears several medals pinned to his chest, which he may have been awarded after returning home from the Border Wars. Neon J has a militaristic, war-veteran-like attitude mixed with the charisma of a pop star. He views the actions of everything, including performances and music, within the lens of battle, and is genuinely confused when others don't see things this way as well, as shown when he demanded answers from Bunk Bed Junction as to what their intentions were and why they did not destroy his factory. Although he prefers to let 1010 bask in the spotlight, Neon J has a fairly vocal personality and seemingly enjoys talking about his war stories. He is also protective of his troops. The 1010 robots have glowing cocks the same color of their hair and eyes (their cum also glows)—Rin’s cum tastes like vanilla, Haym’s cum tastes like lemonade, Purl-hew’s cum tastes like blueberry, Zimelu‘s cum tastes like cherry, and Eloni’s cum tastes like lime.

Eve: Eve is slim and tall, with green cat-like eyes. Her long, golden-orange hair covers her left eye as the bottom half of it ravels her right leg. The left half of her body is colored white with her left leg wearing a teal platform boot. The other half is hot pink with her right leg wearing a platform sandal. Her fingernails are painted a variety of colors. Eve wears turquoise beaded bracelets, in addition to her left wrist having two bracelets: an earring on her right ear, a head ornament on her forehead, and three thin green chokers on her neck. Eve's costume is a black chest-less leotard with a teal breast cover on the right and a chartreuse breast cover on the left. Her scruffy cloak is teal, decorated with chartreuse leaves, a yellow cube, thick violet-purple strings, and spheres coated in colors of velvet pink, orange, and white. She also has a tooth gap and dark pink freckles on her face and shoulders. Eve has a stern personality and demands a lot. She is shown to be possessive of those she considers rightfully hers, though this results from a fear of solitude. She is particularly possessive of Zuke, as he was the only person who understood her and gave her purpose until he left their band. She's known to be dramatic and emotional. Her expression is ever-present in her actions and designs, with everything she does oozing with her emotion in some way, be it sadness, terror, or anger. She is also scared of the world and how it sees her, blaming that everyone is just jealous and scared of her. She's also terrified of things she can not understand. When she loses control of a situation, she is quick to lash out at those around her, even the ones she cares about. Her behaviors can be seen almost like gaslighting, but she lashes out due to her intense fear of being abandoned, but she can be kind when she meets someone who understands her or enjoys her artwork and music. She has a British accent, stands at 7ft tall, and is close to Tatiana.

Tatiana: Tatiana is a tall woman with grey skin that appears like stone with magenta eyes. She wears red rectangular earrings, small circular glasses that match her eyes, a vest with gold patterning that's worn over a long black dress (resembling a road or street), as well as black fingerless gloves. She is extremely tall, with large hands. She has short, white hair with red streaks, and is the ruler of NSR and Vinyl City. She says that EDM is the only genre of music that is relevant, which is the reason why she banned Rock music. She is also seen as a motherly figure to those she is close with.

Bunk Bed Junction:

(Notes: Mayday and Zuke frequently tease, argue, and support each other.

Mayday: Mayday has orange skin, magenta eyes with flower-shaped pupils, and pale yellow hair with three small pigtails and braided side bangs. She wears a sleeveless red dress with a dark red underlayer, black knee-length shorts, a black fingerless glove located on her left hand, black shoes with the toes and heels cut out and purple trim, two armbands on her left arm, and a black choker on her neck. Mayday is a joyful, tomboyish, and outgoing guitarist. She's usually the one ready to jump head first into a fight against the NSR artists. Mayday is of course (technically) the leader of Bunk Bed Junction. Her electric guitar is a purple-pink color, with some type of neon green keychain hanging off of it. She fights with her guitar, also.

Zuke: Zuke has lime green skin, red eyes and long, blue, chunky dreadlocks with turquoise ends. His hair is usually let down, while his sideburns extend down his chin in the shape of facial hair. His clothing consists of a bright green shirt that shows part of his chest near the top, a thin black necklace with a gold pendant, ankle-length teal pants with light blue patterns, purple loafers with white soles and an open black jacket with three gold buttons. He also wears a black glove on his right hand, in contrast to Mayday who wears a black fingerless glove on her left hand. In contrast to Mayday's optimism and hot-blooded character, Zuke is usually cool-headed and mindful of others. He is tactful compared to her and thinks more rationally. It takes a lot to make him lose his cool, and even his most angry moment in the game is quite mild. He also seems to be good with technology, as he is a technical engineer for his and Mayday's instruments for combat. His height is 6’2". Zuke calls Mayday May. He has a slim and tall build, with barely any muscles. Zuke can speak Malaysian (because he is), though he doesn’t do it often, and his accent sounds American. He is the drummer of Bunk Bed Junction. Zuke uses a pair of dark blue drumsticks to fight (and play the drums) that he always has with him. It also seems that his drumsticks can adjust their length, since when Zuke isn’t fighting, he uses a long, dark blue drumstick like a cane to lean on (or to use for style).

Side-characters:

Dk West: Dk West is a green-skinned burly man who has closed eyes, and various red intricate designs of henna around his arms, feet, and body. Some of his ginger-red dreadlocks are tied into a large ponytail-bun hybrid, while the rest hang low pass his shoulders. He wears long, golden chains, and also wears traditional-looking clothing and remains completely barefoot. His fingernails and toenails are painted bright red, being the same color of the henna designs on his arms, feet, and body. He also has a short, slight stubble. He speaks Malaysian, has a Malaysian accent, and is Zuke’s big brother. Dk West is chill and laidback, and doesn’t react that much to haters. He stands at 6’8".

Kliff: Kliff has red hair with a green headband and blue eyes and glasses. He also wears a purple scarf with pink stripes. Kliff is an easygoing, helpful, and seemingly calm individual who shares Bunk Bed Junction's desire to overthrow EDM's harsh grip on Vinyl City and allow Rock to reign once more. He works as the information dealer, giving Mayday and Zuke tips on who each district leader is and what they should watch out for. He also seems to love rock music. Kliff has light red skin, a yellow jacket, blue jeans, and has a red beard (but doesn’t have a mustache).

Yurik: Yurik has red skin, and a half-shaven head with short, neon-green hair. He wears black torn crop-top, black spiked fingerless gloves, purple baggy pants, and a parachute with spiked straps. He has several piercings, two on his chin, one near his lip, and two on his ears. She wears yellow shades, and almost as a punk style. He has a Malaysian accent. Yiruk usually hangs around the Metro Division district.

Joey: Joey is an adult man with pink skin, shoulder-length purple hair, and a full beard. He wears a yellow shirt with a smiling sun, cyan jeans, and some white and blue sneakers. He is also shown to be holding green, cyan, and red Record Sleeves, with the red one having an orange star on it and the green one with a red starburst on it. He has an Australian accent, and usually has negative things to say about the NSR artists’ music. He normally hangs out different districts.

Mia: Mia is a young woman with pink skin, and blonde hair put up into a high ponytail. She is normally shy, and is absolutely petrified of Bunk Bed Junction because of how they’ve defeated almost all of the NSR artists. She wears a white suit, white gloves and skirt, and a light blue neckerchief around her neck. She is an attendant at the Information booth in the Festival Plaza.
