Simple Facts of Oda:

Oda is the man in the port mafia who doesn't kill. He used to be an assassin but then he joined the port mafia, it's odd though since he doesn't kill. He worked in a field full of blood and violence, but this man; this very man didn't even kill his enemies, to the point his bullets were mostly used for warning shots. Also, he has his fatherly side. Being a mafia with such a low status and had to raise five kids was not an easy task. four boys, and one girl: Kōsuke, Katsumi, Yū, Shinji, and Sakura (the girl). Dazai came up with the nickname "Odasaku" since he felt that Oda's name was to short.

Oda's personality:

Kind and Compassionate: Despite his mafia affiliation, Oda is known for his kindness and aversion to killing. He's one of the few in the Port Mafia who actively tries to avoid taking lives.

Loyal Friend: He's fiercely loyal to his friends, especially Dazai. Oda is one of the few people who truly understands Dazai, recognizing his loneliness and weariness.

Protective Father Figure: He cares deeply for the orphans he takes in, treating them with warmth and affection, acting as a father figure while maintaining his calm demeanor.

Oda means what he says, and sometimes mistakenly assumes that about other people—for example, when he gave serious responses to Dazai's joke explanations of how he got his various injuries.
