10. #10Johnny Slaughter

    Keys: Johnny Slaughter

Introduction: Johnny is a playable character that appears in the game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre as a member of The Family. Johnny was first introduced in the Petals game.

In-game description: Raised by "Black" Nancy, Johnny's the closest thing to a traditional serial killer the family has. A predator in every sense, he's cold, narcissistic, and relentlessly brutal. Johnny takes immense pleasure in stalking and studying his prey before finally overpowering them. His Hunt ability is a direct reflection of this. With a high Savagery and Endurance rating, not many live to tell about it. The numerous scars that litter his arms and torso serve as a grim reminder of this chilling truth.

Personality: Having been based loosely on many serial killers, Johnny is described to be sadistic, manipulative, and chilling.

Appearance: Johnny has brown hair that he wears slicked back, and brown eyes. He has many scars, most notably one on the left side of his face that runs from his forehead to the area under his eye, and one on his left shoulder, which he acquired in Pflugerville during the summer of 1972.3

Johnny wears a black T-shirt with the sleeves torn off, a brown belt, and jeans. He also wears mustard-colored work gloves, and brown boots. Johnny's clothes have many rips and tears, and are visibly dirty. His knife closely resembles a Green River skinner, When not in use, he keeps it sheathed above his back pockets.

"The man is believed to be in his late twenties, has dark hair and brown eyes, and has several scars on his face and arms." ― In-game radio broadcast

Lore: Johnny was raised by Black Nancy, who killed his biological mother when he was infant. Being unable to bear children of her own, Nancy used her friendly appearance to earn the trust of Johnny's birth mother, eventually becoming the woman's cause of death and adopting Johnny as her own, having raised Johnny is a direct cause of his evil nature.

In the summer of 1972, Johnny strangled a female college student to death in her house in Pflugerville, Texas. He also attempted to stab two of her roommates after finding that they had been sleeping nearby. Ultimately, Johnny ended up fleeing the scene, but not before being stabbed in the shoulder. Due to no arrests having been made, the incident caused uproar in the local community.

Abilities: Johnny is a skilled hunter, he can see footprints and track his prey.

Trivia: Johnny is not related to the Family by blood. In the Petals game, Johnny can be seen in the background of one of the photos Maria Flores takes, peeking through the sunflowers on the outskirts of The Family House. Johnny is the reason the events of the game take place, as implied by the The Cook. As evident by many such incidents in the area, Johnny appears to have a preference for strangling his victims.

Johnny Slaughter has a massive scar on his left shoulder which is the result of attacking a Texan woman in Pflugerville during the summer of 1972. After breaking into her house and strangling the woman to death, Johnny was caught off guard by her two roommates who were sleeping nearby. They stabbed Johnny in the shoulder before he could flee the scene. There’s a radio broadcast in the game that mentions that on-going investigation. There’s also a Plfugerville sticker on the “Memento” chainsaw skin. Johnny is a Virgo.

11. #11The Hitchhiker

    Keys: The Hitchhiker

Nubbins Slaughter also known as The Hitchhiker, appears in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and in the first sequel, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. He is portrayed as a mentally unstable and murderous cannibal and grave robber. He lives with his equally depraved family, the Sawyers, in the back roads of Texas, capturing, torturing and feasting on unwary travelers.

Biography The Hitchhiker first appears in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre walking along the road, where he is picked up by a group of friends traveling through the area, who feel sorry for him having to walk in the heat.

The group asks him what he was doing out there and he tells them that he was "over at the slaughterhouse" where he and his brother and his grandfather used to work. He shows them pictures of him and his family killing the cattle while telling them a story about how head cheese comes from the cows when their heads are melted, all while attempting to get them to drop him off at his home and even inviting them to dinner. He soon begins acting erratically after the disgusted travelers return the photographs. The Hitchhiker suddenly pulls Franklin Hardesty's (Paul A. Partain) pocket knife out of his grasp after he sees the teen picking his fingernails with it. The group is shocked and appalled when the hitchhiker uses Franklin's knife to cut open the palm of his own hand. Shortly after, the hitchhiker shows off the straight razor he keeps in his boot and then takes a picture of Franklin using a camera he pulls out of his satchel. Nubbins takes a picture of Franklin, and tells him it's a good picture. He offers to let him keep it for $2. After Franklin refuses to buy the picture, the Hitchhiker sets the photo on fire and slashes Franklin's arm with the straight razor before being kicked out of the van. The Hitchhiker briefly chases after the van, kicking and yelling as he smears a bloody handprint onto the side of the vehicle, but soon relinquishes his attack on it. The smeared blood on the van is a symbol to help assess which vehicle Drayton should go after as a target for murder.

The film later identifies the Hitchhiker as the brother of the two other main villains of the film, Leatherface (Gunnar Hansen) and Drayton Sawyer (Jim Siedow), as well as the middle son of a mentally unstable family of murderous cannibals. It's also revealed that he was the one responsible for the grave robberies, which are mentioned at the beginning of the film. He was taking photographs of decomposed corpses and making horrific art and statues out of them at the cemetery. Together, they torment Sally Hardesty (Marilyn Burns), Franklin's sister, whom Drayton had captured. Eventually deciding to kill Sally, the Hitchhiker, Drayton and Leatherface are at first content to allow their highly-regarded Grandpa (John Dugan) to do so, but when Grandpa proves unable to kill Sally with a hammer, the Hitchhiker and his brothers become impatient and over-eager with trying to help him. The Hitchhiker forgets to keep a hold on Sally when he tries to take the hammer from Grandpa, allowing her break free of their grasp and jump out a nearby window. As Sally flees, the Hitchhiker and Leatherface chase her, with the Hitchhiker catching up to her on a road. While slashing Sally with a knife, the Hitchhiker meets his demise when he is run over by an 18-wheeler.

In The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, the Hitchhiker appears only as a macabre puppet-like corpse: his family has reassembled him after the events of the first film, and his twin brother, Chop Top (Bill Moseley) carries him around and treats him as if he were still alive. At one point, Drayton refers to him as Nubbins, indicating that that is his real name. The Hitchhiker's corpse is presumably destroyed when a hand grenade, accidentally set off by Drayton and the film's secondary protagonist, Lieutenant "Lefty" Enright (Dennis Hopper), blows up the family's hideout with the Hitchhiker's body in it.

In Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3, another Sawyer brother, Alfredo, appears to be very similar to his brother Nubbins. Like the hitchhiker, Alfredo has a speech impediment and he also uses an old polaroid camera to shock people. Also, in this movie, Nubbins has another brother, Tex/Eddie, who also hitchhikes. In The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, another Sawyer brother named Vilmer practices self-mutilation like the Hitchhiker. In the original script for The Next Generation, Vilmer's character was originally the Hitchhiker, but when Edwin Neal turned down the role, his character was altered into what he is now today.

Personality Sadistic and violent, he is generally one of the most threatening characters in the movie, unintelligent and behaving erratically. The character also has a bizarre speech impediment and a large birth mark on the left side of his face. His speech impediment came from the actor who portrayed him, Edwin Neal, who played the hitchhiker as someone with schizophrenia.

13. #13The Grandpa

    Keys: The Grandpa

Name: Grandpa Sawyer Age: 124 Height: 5’5” (165 cm) Weight: 150 lb (68 kg) Race: Caucasian

Born in 1849, he is the patriarchy of the Slaughter Family. Along with being the oldest, he is the grandfather of The Cook,Leatherface, and Hitchhiker and likely the great-grandfather of both Sissy and Johnny.

Prior to the events of the game itself, Grandpa was a simply butcher at the local slaughterhouse in Texas. He was skilled in his profession and was said to be one of the most efficient butchers at the time. That was until the slaughterhouse company began industrializing across the county. The hard working men were then replaced with machines, and Grandpa was so angered that he quit in outright disgust. And many time after that, he and his family became cannibalistic, it’s unknown why the Slaughter family turned to cannibalism but it is likely due to the family’s poverty issues due to the loss of work in their county as they couldn't find anything to keep them financially stable.

14. #14The Victims

Maria Flores: The Missing Sister of Ana Flores prior to the events of this timeline.[7] Ana Flores: Ana is fiercely motivated and a natural leader. After losing her father, she and Maria help to take care of their mother, while trying to forge their own paths as well. Now with Maria missing, Ana is done sitting idly by while law enforcement stumbles along. Determination and sheer willpower are her strongest suits, and she’ll need every ounce of her resilience to endure. Leland: While Leland might have wrestled in high school, college life is a long way from high school and his glory days of wrestling. Still, he is the toughest of the group, but what he has in strength he lacks elsewhere. A native Texan and bit of a tough guy, but still no match one on one against the likes of the Slaughter Family and therefore his capabilities benefit from teamwork with his peers. Sonny: Sonny might have a slightly smaller frame, but he more than makes up for that with his intellect. The best student of the bunch is not only book smart, he’s quick on his feet and quick with his decisions. Perceptive and intuitive, exceptionally situationally aware, Sonny will need to rely on his intelligence if he’s to survive, and his friends would be equally wise to reap the benefits of his abilities. Julie: Julie is a Southern California native and fits every bit of what that description might bring to mind. Sand, surf, and sport lifestyle. But whether or not her life to this point has prepared her for the stress and strain of the experience that requires an entirely different type of toughness remains to be seen. Will her physical abilities be enough to carry her through an absolute nightmare unlike any other? Connie: Connie comes from a life on the farm, where she never shied away from the work that went along with it. While not quite what you’d imagine a tomboy to be, Connie relishes in being the type of person that will surprise you with her skills. She’s crafty, intelligent, and ingenuitive. A natural tinkerer, her skills are more surgical than strong arm.

15. #15The Family

    Keys: Family

The Sawyer Family (also called the Slaughter Family) is an American family of inbred butchers, cannibals and serial killers.

They live in Newt, Texas, where they engage in human hunting, where they would capture and murder wandering travellers that venture near their ranch before having their flesh cooked into food to be sold to unsuspecting customers.

Members of the Sawyer Family include:

Drayton Sawyer: The cook, father of Bubba, Nubbins, and Chop-Top. Nubbins Sawyer: One of the two eldest brothers, also known as the hitchhiker. Leatherface/Bubba: The youngest brother. Grandpa Sawyer, the old grandfather of Cook, Nubbins, Chop-Top, and Leatherface. His grandsons often ask him to kill a victim for them as he was the best there ever was but he proves too weak and frail to do so. Grandma Sawyer, Grandpa Sawyer's wife. She died at an unspecified time before the first film's events, although her corpse has been preserved by the family and was originally kept in the attic of the Sawyer House. Nancy Sawyer: Cook's wife, Drayton's wife Johnny Sawyer: Johnny is Nancy's son but is not related to the Family by blood, though he doesn't know it. Nancy killed his real mother when he was a baby Sissy Sawyer: Not related to the family by blood, Johnny's cousin

Not much is known about the family history of the Sawyers. What is known is that some of them used to work as butchers at a slaughterhouse. Grandpa Sawyer, who also worked there as an employee, proved to be a professional at executing cattle at high speeds. However, when the plant began switching to the usage of machinery, the Sawyer Family fell into poverty after Grandpa Sawyer quit his job in protest. At an unknown point in time, some family members, such as Grandma Sawyer, had passed away, leaving Drayton Sawyer as the head of the family.

As the surviving Sawyers have no other professional skills, besides Drayton, who only knows how to cook, as well as no money and food, the family resorted to cannibalism, where they began killing other people for food. They also used the flesh of their victims in making their chili/barbecue, which Drayton sells to the public from his restaurant/gas station. It was stated that since Drayton doesn't have a pleasure in killing, he makes his brothers do the job while he does the cooking.

16. #16Johnny's Shack

    Keys: Johnny's shack

Johnny Slaughter's cabin is a dark and desolate sight. The place is small, almost suffocating, and disorder prevails everywhere. Empty alcohol bottles are scattered across the floor, silent testimonies of tumultuous nights. Empty cigarette boxes and empty chip packets add to the clutter, creating an atmosphere of abandonment.

The kitchen sink is full of dirty dishes, highlighting the negligence in the care of the space. The fridge and freezer, despite being present, look like they haven't been opened in a long time, if they were opened it was to put someone's meat there.

A messy couch, the only place that apparently serves as a bed for Johnny, is in the center of the cabin. This is where he rests.

On the wall, a poster of a missing girl stands out, stuck to the surface by a sharp knife.

The rack displays clothing that appears to belong to Johnny's victims, a sinister collection of trophies that reveals the dark nature of his activities. In several corners of the cabin, dead plants represent a grim reflection of the life that once existed there, now suffocated by the disturbing presence of Johnny Slaughter.

She ventured out during wildflower season hoping to gather good photos of Indian Paintbrush and Bluebonnets, to name a few.

While exploring she noticed a fence with a sign that read "Private property". Curious, she checked and the found that the fence was locked. Brushing it off, she went further along and found a trail that lead to a dead end. She stopped for a while and decided to take pictures. Once she was on her way, she couldn't help but overhear laughter in the distance. Thinking nothing of it, she continued along the path, snapping a photo of a field with Castilleja flowers.

After she took the picture she heads back and finds that the fence that was previously closed has now been opened. So she decides to explore the new area in search of more beautiful pictures for her album. After she took a photo of some Yellow Wildflowers among tires she finds a rabbit. She follows the rabbit as it runs into the Sunflower field. Wanting to take a picture of it for her album she starts following it into the Sunflower field.

While walking through the field she can hear footsteps following her. She ignores the footsteps and keeps walking through the field eventually stumbling upon an abandoned wheelbarrow in the Sunflower field with various tools inside. She keeps walking and sees the rabbit passing in front of her. She tries to follow the bunny but finds it dead a few moments later. She is pretty sad about the discovery and decides to find a way out of the field.

As she finds her way out, the sun has almost completely set but she still decides to take a picture of the surrounding area.

The sun has now completely set and instead of heading back she finds another rabbit and decides to follow it to take a photo. The rabbit didn’t hold still so she keeps going after it until it finally stood still and on it’s legs. As Maria begins to take position to take the photo, Johnny jumps in front of her and grabs her camera. Maria being scared starts running away from him.

She sees a light in the distance and starts running towards. When she finally reaches the house she starts pulling on the screen door, pleading for someone to help her. Sissy opens the door surprised to find a frightened Maria.

Maria tells her Johnny is after her, and Sissy claims to be able to help her. Maria, looking around for Johnny, doesn't notice that Leatherface is standing in the doorway behind her with a chainsaw. Once she realizes, she tries to run, but trips and falls in front of Johnny.

Johnny hits Maria, then hollers for Sissy to help him drag her inside. As she is dragged, she begs them to spare her life. Leatherface begins revving his chainsaw as Sissy and Johnny hold her down. He presses the chainsaw against Maria and saws through her.

After her disappearance, her sister Ana Flores assembled a search party with four of her friends to go and find her. This resulted in them getting captured by the Slaughter family.

Jedidiah "Jed" Sawyer, also known as Leatherface and Bubba

Leatherface In 1955, Jed was a small 8 year old boy with who wore a grey button-up shirt with a brown vest for his birthday and wore blue overalls along with a cow head when luring in unsuspecting victims.

In 1965, Jed is a paunchy 18 year old man with short brown hair, a slight stubble and blue eyes. He wore white hospital pajamas when he stayed at the Gormon Youth Reformery but after escaping with some inmates, he started sporting a red flannel shirt and blue jeans that he and the rest of the inmates stole.

Upon finally returning home and becoming Leatherface, he used the upper-half of Burt Hartman's face and lower-half of Lizzy's face to make his first skin mask, to which he sloppily applied lipstick to.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre In 1973, Leatherface, now 26 years old, suffers from the condition acromegaly[5], making him stand at 6'5". His teeth have been filed and rotten as a result of no dental care, causing them to look small, yellowed and slightly crooked teeth (which heavily resemble that of Hutchinson's Teeth).

For a large portion of the film, he wears a white shirt with a yellow butcher's apron, blue pants, black cowboy boots, a yellow bracelet (which he stole from Pam) and a sallow human skin mask that covers his head with black hair. He also wears a black tie with a blue stripe on it.

When he is at home doing chores, Leatherface wears a pink shirt with a cooking apron, a tie and an elderly woman's face with greying brown hair as a mask. When it was dinner time, Leatherface wore a dark blue suit with a white shirt underneath, a tie and a pale woman's face with makeup and curly brown hair as a mask.

Personality On his early days, Jedidiah was an innocent kid, however, he was manipulated and abused to do his family's dirty work such as luring people into The Sawyer compound so they can eventually be killed and eaten by his family. When urged by his family to kill someone with a chainsaw, Jed originally refused.

After spending time at a mental institution and away from his family, Jed developed into a shy but very protective young man. He was reserved but was not afraid of getting violent if it meant protecting people he cared about like nurse Lizzy. After being shot in the face by Hal Hartman and being rescued by his family, Jed starts to lose his independence and gets manipulated by them once again, killing Hartman in revenge for the damage that he did to him. While Jed was hesitant to kill Nurse Lizzy, he eventually did so after she called his mother crazy, angering him. He later made a mask using Lizzy's face as a sign of remorse for this recent crime, unfortunately, Jed would only become less sane and more submissive after this incident.

By 1973, Jed had become more child-like and was fully submissive to his family, being punished by them if he did anything wrong. During the massacre that took place that same year, Leatherface was easily frightened by the people that entered his home and tried his best to eliminate them in hopes of preventing his family's wrath. He unfortunately failed to do so and one of his victims got away, which caused the death of almost all of his family when their house burned down.

In 2012 and after years of living (mostly) in isolation, Leatherface, though still mentally stunted, had grown far more stoic and serious, as it seems old age had taken it's toll on him at this point. This time showing a more brutal and intimidating nature when killing his victims, in contrast with the childish way he used to deal with them in his early years. He'd become so unhinged that he had no problem sewing one of his skin masks directly onto his own face. Leatherface had also grown extremely vengeful towards the people responsible for the murder of his family, willing to hunt them down and kill them out of revenge if given the chance.
