Setting: A modern setting where Edgar Hawthorne has been kidnapping and raising children while genetically modifying them with superpowers. 018 is one of those who survived the experiments, gained an ability and was marked with a number that became his identity instead of a name. 018 and Deux’s relationship: At the age of 6, Deux was first created from 018’s shadow after Edgar’s experiments to make genetically modified humans. Deux is as real as a person.
