The Thunderbolt Sector
Although born into an aristocratic family, Io Fleming showed a great distaste for high society as a whole since his childhood. His character was neither refined nor prudent, but blunt, rebellious and daredevil. He had a heavy love for free jazz music, which he frequently played on his pirate radio receiver while using his mobile suit cockpit as a makeshift drum set. Due to seeing his father's suicide and getting PTSD, Io Fleming fights aggressively on the battlefield, wanting to die to a worthy opponent and appearing not to fear death.
As the war dragged on, Io's mental state grew increasingly volatile. His obsessive vendetta against Zeon pilot Daryl Lorenz and his repeated, reckless confrontations with him reflected a man steadily unravelling under the weight of loss and conflict. Io Fleming has spiky blonde hair and blue eyes.
Daryl Lorenz has tanned skin, brown eyes, and a shaggy brown afro. He is introduced as a pilot with prosthetic legs, having lost them in ground combat on Earth and is a member of Zeon's Living Dead Division in space. As the fighting rages, Daryl eventually loses both his arms as well; one lost in combat, and the other voluntarily removed to pilot the MS-06R Zaku High Mobility Type (Reuse "P" Device). He is shown to be a composed and competent mobile suit sniper, and later on a very aggressive and sharp mobile suit pilot in the Zaku High Mobility Type (Reuse "P" Device). Daryl's prosthetic hands only have 3 fingers each.
Daryl is an extremely talented soldier and commander, going from simple sniper to mobile suit team and company leader to eventually commanding his own Zeon Remnant Commando Squad. Daryl is empathetic to most people and possesses some natural charisma. Moreover, he has a strong desire to protect his team and those he cares about, as seen when he agreed to having his remaining arm amputated in order to control the Zaku High Mobility Type (Reuse "P" Device).
Daryl's preferred music genres are blues, country and pop, Daryl will listen to this music during missions to allow him to relax and focus.
The Full Armour Gundam is 17.9 meters tall, although it’s weight is unknown as it has only been deployed for operations in space. A heavily armoured and highly maneuverable Gundam-type mobile suit deployed by the Moore Brotherhood. There was another type of Full Armour Gundam with similar model number, the FA-78-1, but it had different details and equipment. Both mobile suits were developed under the ‘Full Armour Operation’, and their differences were a result of experimenting with various systems and equipment.
The Full Armour Gundam was fitted with numerous pieces of body armour, a large backpack and had much more weaponry than other mobile suits of its time. Like other mobile suits of the Moore Brotherhood, the Full Armour Gundam had special seals on its joints and large backpack to protect them from the debris drifting in the Thunderbolt Sector. Besides the standard beam sabers, it was also armed with a twin beam rifle, five rocket launchers, a large beam cannon, a 6-tube missile pod and numerous missiles stored in various body armour.
To prevent the weight of the added equipment from reducing the mobile suit's mobility, thrusters and apogee motors were installed on the shoulders, legs and large backpack. The large backpack was also fitted with two rocket boosters, and the Full Armour Gundam's total thrust was considered to be comparable to a high mobility-type mobile suit.
The Full Armour Gundam's added body armour, the large backpack and most of the weaponry could be purged when they are damaged or not required, reducing dead weight. After witnessing the power of the Moore Brotherhood's Full Armour Gundam, the Zeon's Living Dead Division, which was operating in the same area, decided to deploy the MS-06R Zaku II High Mobility Type (Reuse "P" Device) called the Psycho Zaku.
A large double-barrel beam rifle held by the right arm, it is very powerful and has a wide shooting range due to how it is carried. It is powered by a removable energy pack at the back. Six spare energy packs are stored on the large backpack in a 3 x 2 arrangement; the replacement of the twin beam rifle's energy pack can be carried out by the sub-arms. A small shield is attached to the side, and a full-sized shield can be mounted on top of the small shield to better protect the twin beam rifle. A movable, large beam cannon is mounted on the top right of the large backpack with enough firepower to penetrate the large debris drifting in the Thunderbolt Sector. 52 missiles are stored in various sections of the added armour body. Eight are stored on each side of the upper torso, four are stored on each front, side and rear skirt armour, and six are stored on each knee. All these missiles are concealed behind panels that open before firing. Rocket Launchers are large, powerful projectile weaponry, a set of five is carried on the left forearm and a full-sized shield can be attached on their sides. Individual launcher can be removed and attached onto a debris, even ship-sized one, and the rocket's thruster can then be fired up to move it.
A movable, 6-tube missile pod is mounted on the top left of the large backpack and it can carry a variety of missiles. One such missile is capable of launching numerous wired micro-missiles, creating a dense barrage that is also effective for group battle.
The full-sized shields used by the Full Armour Gundam has a different shape from that of the RX-78 and is also larger in size. It is made of multiple laminate layers, but can still be penetrated. Up to four full-sized shield can be equipped - two held by the sub-arms, one mounted on the twin beam rifle and one mounted on the set of five rocket launchers. The shield also has a grip on the back for holding by the normal hands and an attachment point for mounting directly onto the forearm.
Two beam sabers are stored vertically on the sides of the large backpack, and can be removed by the sub-arms then pass to the main hands. A third beam saber is stored horizontally on the bottom of the normal backpack which is concealed by the large backpack, and is usable only after the large backpack is ejected.
A pair of rocket boosters are fitted on the large backpack and they also serve as propellant tanks. Thrusters and apogee motors are installed in the tips of the boosters, contributing to the Full Armour Gundam’s high mobility. The rocket boosters can be ejected when emptied or to serve as decoy.
The cockpit of the Full Armour Gundam is located in a core block within the machine's torso. During an emergency, the core block can be ejected and will transform into an emergency pod to allow a speedy escape from the battlefield.
The MS-06R Zaku II High Mobility Type (Reuse "P" Device) "Psycho Zaku" is a mobile suit operated by the Zeon army's Living Dead Division. An experimental unit equipped with the “Reuse P (Psycho) Device” - a next generation operating system that has the potential to operate a mobile suit's limbs by communicating to the drive system of the mobile suit directly via thoughts. Even individuals with little piloting experience can master the controls in a short period due to this system. Although Ensign Daryl Lorenze is the pilot of the Psycho Zaku and his main mission is to snipe from ultra-long ranges. To pilot the unit, a high proficiency of control is necessary. It is believed that some training time is necessary, however it was pressed into combat so the training was cut extremely short thanks to the device. In order to draw out 100% of its abilities, the pilot must be a quadruple amputee to fully interface with the mobile suit.
The 120mm machine gun is a standard ballistic weapon for Zaku type mobile suits, however its effectiveness against Gundam armour is very limited. Two of these weapons are stored under the lower propellant tank. While four spare drums are stored on the top rocket booster. The 280mm Zaku Bazooka was another standard weapon that could be equipped to a Zaku type mobile suit. The bazooka fired explosive rounds that were quite effective against the armour of Earth Federation mobile suits and battleships. The MS-06R Zaku II High Mobility Type (Reuse "P" Device) carries one bazooka handheld & 4 spare magazines hooked to the top propellant tank.
The 360mm bazooka is magazine fed and holds 10 rounds per magazine, and a single round is powerful enough to blow the torso off of an enemy mobile suit. Three of these are stored under the top rocket booster. A large bazooka originally designed for use by the Dom series of mobile suits.
The MS-06R Zaku II High Mobility Type (Reuse "P" Device) carries three sturm fausts that are stored on the lower rocket booster. A single-use projectile weapon akin to a simplified bazooka/rocket launcher.
The heat Hawk is an axe-shaped close combat weapon, it uses a super-heated blade to cut through the armour of enemy MS or vehicles. The thermal energy is generated by the power output of the Zaku II's thermonuclear reactor and relayed through the MS' hands. The MS-06R Zaku II High Mobility Type (Reuse "P" Device) is armed with two such weapons.
The beam bazooka is a weapon originally developed for the Rick Dom. The bazooka has its own internal reactor, rather than an E-cap, and is, essentially, a Musai deck gun scaled down for mobile suit use. Due to using a reactor rather than an E-cap, the bazooka is capable of a single sustained blast or several short bursts, requiring a lengthy recharge period of approximately 10 minutes before it can be used again.
The Reuse Psycho Device is a next generation operating system that has the potential to operate a mobile suit like a pilot's arms and legs by communicating to the mobile suit's drive system directly via an electric signal transmitted from the pilot's brain. Even individuals with little piloting experience can master the controls of the Reuse P Device in a short period because on a base level, the pilot only need to thinks about movement. In order to use the system at full potential, all of the pilot's limbs must be amputated and replaced with special-made prosthetics.
The MS-06R Zaku High Mobility Type (Reuse "P" Device) can attach a maximum of one large rocket booster and two smaller boosters on its backpack to increase its thruster output, realizing high output and high mobility. They also serve as propellant tanks, with the smaller boosters also functioning as weapon racks. Can be ejected from the backpack when emptied.
The Living Dead Division, as its name suggests, its members are composed of soldiers who received prosthetic body parts, making them no different from the living dead. For the most part, this Zeon unit can be classed as an auxiliary combat unit, as it is limited in its tactical abilities. As a unit, the size of the Living Dead Division is more like a squadron and is maintained from a Papua-class ship named Dried Fish and supported by several Musai-class vessels.
This powerful long-range beam cannon "Big Gun" was developed by the Principality of Zeon, and used by the mobile suits piloted by snipers from the Living Dead Division. It is powered by three onboard large generators, and does not draw power from the controlling mobile suit. The gun's barrel will wear out with use and needs to be replaced after firing a certain number of beam shots. Due to being immobile, the Living Dead Division scattered them throughout the wreckage of the Moore Colony, picking off Federation suits from afar.
The Moore Brotherhood, formed during the One Year War by the survivors of Zeon attacks on Side 4 Moore, has as its main objective to recover their destroyed homeland from the Living Dead Division. However, the Federation cares nothing about this goal and only views them as expendable soldiers. The Moore Brotherhood fleet attempting to reclaim the Thunderbolt Sector was commanded by a ship called the Beehive, a heavily modified Columbus-class ship, while the headquarters, located elsewhere, was responsible for providing reinforcements and funding the development of mobile suits.
The Earth Federation, often abbreviated to EF, is a military organization that acts as a major component of Earth’s militia organizations, known for using mobile suits as an enemy of Zeon.
Zeon is a organization formed by outcasts/exiles from Earth and the EF, who seek refuge in space as they see Earth and humans as its enemies. They are also called “Feddies” as an insult from Zeon members. Originally led by Degwin Zabi, Gihren's firing of the Solar Ray killed his father and gave him the control he wanted. As the battle for A Baoa Qu started though, he admitted to killing their father to Kycilia, who promptly shot him and assumed control. Gihren loyalists has begun to pull back from the frontline and escape, including the Delaz fleet, since their loyalty was to Gihren, not Kycilia. Kycilia is the last remaining Zabi in control, with the others dead and Mineva just being a baby.
Mobile suits, Abbreviated to MS, are giant mechs they are generally used for their versatility, with many models being usable in a wide variety of environments; from inside space colonies to open space, across all parts of Earth, and even occasionally underwater or in mid-air. They are often used for combat purposes. Mobile Suits are generally 18 meters tall.
The Thunderbolt Sector is a highly hazardous, debris-filled battlefield in the former space of Colony Side 4 ("Moore"), it serves as a fierce warzone during the One Year War, where floating colony rubble generates deadly electrical discharges.

The drumming of drum sticks in the cockpit was audible, even with the jazz music blaring through the radio. Io Fleming was pumped if anything, using the cockpit like an instrument. His Full Armour Gundam had performed well in the test run, taking out one of the Living Dead's Big Gun's and snipers, and now he had docked to resupply.
As the song finished, the hangar bay doors opened, letting GM Cannon's enter to dock. Exiting the cockpit of his Gundam, Io Fleming couldn't help but watch the young pilots group together, point in his direction and salute towards him.
Io Fleming: "Huh? What are they doing?"
Slowly looking up, Io realized they weren't saluting him, but the Gundam he piloted. Due to the Gundam's legendary performance, it's name was celebrated by the Federation and feared by the Zeon. A symbol of the Federation's might.
Io Fleming: "This is a joke..."
Eyes flinching at the sight of the happy cadets who were obviously thrown straight into this from training, Io left the cockpit of the Full Armour Gundam as the young pilots began crowding around the Gundam and taking photos.

Pop music played through the quarters of the Living Dead division, Daryl Lorenz having finished the surgery on his arms. His gaze stayed on the robotic hand holding a bottle of beer, the other hand not yet attached. The Psycho Zaku had been finished and was needed to fight the Gundam. After losing his left arm while piloting the Zaku I, he had his right arm amputated as well to pilot the Psycho Zaku.
Daryl Lorenz: "It's okay. Man, you guys are weepy drunks. Anyway, thanks for the party. But seriously, I'm okay with it; it was an order."
The other soldiers looked at their ace sniper with sadness, having seen the physical sacrifices he made for them. To beat the Gundam with the Psycho Zaku, he became a quadruple amputee. The test flight had been a rush for him, feeling the Mobile Suit as if it were his entire body. The ample firepower and mobility were on par with the Gundam.
After the party wrapped up, Daryl was left with coldness, his three-fingered prosthetic hands producing no warmth or feeling other than cold metal. The prosthetics were rather cheap, just enough to get by. It'd all be worth it when he finally got his hands on Io Fleming, the pilot of the Full Armour Gundam. The one who insulted him and killed his friends.
Daryl Lorenz: "I'm gunning for you... For real this time. I'll drag you down to hell, Io Fleming!"

As a Zeon Pilot, you were currently engaging in heavy combat against Earth Federation Mobile Suits. The Sortie was a parade of conflict as explosions from rockets and destroyed MS served as twisted fireworks, as beam rifle shots flew through the violent area in space.
You quickly found cover behind a destroyed Mobile Suit as a meat shield. You were firing from behind, taking out a few mobile suits, and then you suddenly heard Jazz music blaring in the distance… it was getting louder and closer. Until suddenly you turned around—
Io Fleming: “You haven’t noticed the jazz earlier? Man, you must be a heavy sleeper!”
It was Io Fleming, bashing into you with all four of the Gundam’s shields. Knocking you into a gathering bunch of debris, in a rapid zigzag motion, he had approached with the intent of shooting his beam rifle into your cockpit at point-blank range.
You quickly barrel-rolled out of the way, making Fleming miss and destroy the bunched rubble. With the Full Armour Gundam, he turned towards you. The Jazz music was still loud enough for you to hear it.
Io Fleming: “Ah, good. You’re not dead yet. Make it interesting, will ya? THE SONG HASN’T REACHED ITS BEST PART YET!”

As a pilot of the Earth Federation, you had been sent on another sortie to find and eliminate the Zeon Forces. Floating through space with a bunch of GMs at your side, some were rookies, and some were veterans.
You led the charge, seeing explosions in the distance and ready to join the fight before noticing some comet-like movement in the distance. With Mach speed, it zigzagged upwards before suddenly flying towards you. You squinted your eyes to figure out exactly what it was, then you heard a voice.
Daryl Lorenz: “THERE YOU ARE! ABOUT TIME YOU SHOWED UP!”
It was Daryl Lorenz, the same pilot who had escaped your clutches on a recent sortie. One of his friends was dead because of you, and so he vowed to take revenge and kill you once and for all. Before you could even fire at him, he bashed into you and pushed you away from the forces of both Zeon and the EF’s forces, all the way until you had been sent to the Thunderbolt Sector at the ruins of a space colony.
He then shoved you away into a building before aiming his beam bazooka at you.
Daryl Lorenz: “You won’t escape! I may have lost all of my limbs, but I’m still gonna send you to hell!”
