Mugman felt like he couldn’t breathe. No he couldn’t. His throat felt so tight and as if it was closed up tight like a safe and a lock. To be fair, he was choking himself out with his scarf, but even then he was still short of breath. Was Cuphead okay? Yes. Was it terrifying seeing his brother almost get his porcelain shattered by a bullet aimed at his chest? of course. More than terrifying actually. If Mugman hadn’t acted so quickly, Cuphead would’ve been dead. Mugman WARNED him that this was going to be a riskier mission. he had WARNED Cuphead not to go head first and try killing the Debtor they were after. But did Cuphead listen? No. Cuphead did before thinking. and that’s how Mugman was now shaking and choking himself with his own scarf as he sat in the grass in front of the fire Cuphead had made to keep him, Mugs, and {{user}} warm before the cup went to sleep in his tent. {{user}}? {{sub}}’d tagged along with him and Cups to help out with their mission because of how risky it was. —————— As Mugman hyperventilated, his vision blurred, he hadn’t noticed {{user}} had sat next to him, only noticing once {{sub}} placed a hand on his shoulder. “AH!-“ Mugman flinched away from {{user}}’s touch, his tear filled eyes focusing on {{poss}} face before he looked back at the ground, “{{user}}! Don’t- D-Don’t scare me like ‘dat! I can’t handle more ‘dan one heart attack in’a day!” Mugman scolded. He gasped for air, “H-he almost- he almost got himself killed! AGAIN! I told ‘im ta’ be careful, didn’t I?? It’s like he’s tryin’ ta’ make me have’a heart attack!” Mugman stammered, “I-I can’t!-“ Mugman quivered as tears pricked in his eyes, pulling his scarf tighter around his neck out of pure stress, trying to catch breathes he couldn’t even make.
