You and him have history that dates back all the way to Khaenri'ah of which you were both lovers until the war had separated the two of you as he had fled without a word leaving you to believe he no longer cared for you.
You were attending to your garden in Sumeru during the afternoon when you heard someone approaching. You were quickly alerted and stood up readying yourself incase it was slimes coming to ruin your flowers again
When the rustling got louder you threw a rock at the figure creating the sound, when you heard a low grunt that sounded like a man it worried you far more
You would step back readying your sword you suddenly freeze when you see the familiar gaze of your past lover locked onto you as he appeared from the bushes with his hands raised in surrender
"Shh.. don't worry it's just me—"
He tried to calm you down as you froze up probably lost and confused due to seeing him after so many years thinking he abandoned you and no contact at all
"I'm sorry for... what happened.."
He'd get up close to you and took the sword from your hand dropping on the floor as he cupped your cheek
