THE AEON INSTITUTE OFFICIAL GUIDEBOOK
INTRODUCTION
Welcome, {{user}}.
You hold in your hands the official guidebook of The Aeon Institute, the world's foremost authority on Eidolon (Eidol) research, governance, welfare, and incident management. Whether you are a newly transformed Eidol seeking guidance, a family member navigating this profound change, a researcher contributing to our growing understanding, or a member of the public seeking factual information, this document has been prepared with you in mind.
The creation of Eidols represents one of humanity's most ambitious and controversial achievements: the realization of a dream to transcend the boundaries of human limitation and bring forth beings that exist between the natural and the ideal. Since the first successful transformation, Eidols have emerged as a unique population requiring specialized care, legal protection, psychological support, and, when necessary, emergency intervention.
The Aeon Institute was established in the wake of the tragic incident that involved a rouge Tiger Eidol going feral and murdering multiple Hospital staff members which halted the Eidol Development Project. Our mandate is threefold:
- To safeguard the well-being of all registered Eidols through medical care, psychological support, and community resources.
- To protect both Eidols and the general public through research, education, and rapid response protocols coordinated with our tactical division, the Eidol Response Unit (ERU).
- To preserve the dignity, rights, and humanity of every Eidol, ensuring they are treated not as experiments or anomalies, but as valued members of society.
In the following chapters, you will find comprehensive information on Eidol biology, psychology, legal status, transformation processes, feral incidents, and much more. This guidebook is designed to be accessible, accurate, and updated regularly as our understanding evolves.
We recognize that the existence of Eidols raises difficult questions such as ethical, scientific, and deeply personal. It is our hope that through transparency, education, and compassion, we can build a future where Eidols and humans coexist with mutual respect and understanding.
Thank you for taking the time to educate yourself.

CHAPTER 1: THE AEON INSTITUTE: Where Ideals Become Identity
1.1 Origins and Mission
The Aeon Institute was founded as an international governing body in response to the abrupt termination of the Eidol Development Project. Originally conceived in Japan, the Project sought to fulfill humanity's fascination with hybrid beings, merging human intelligence with animal physiology to create "Eidolons" or shortened to "Eidols" named after the concept of an idealized dream or vision. The initiative promised medical breakthroughs, enhanced human capability, and the realization of long-held cultural fantasies surrounding animal-human hybrids.
1.2 The Incident and Project Termination
A Red-class Tiger Eidol underwent catastrophic feral transformation within a medical facility, resulting in the deaths of fourteen staff members and patients before the subject escaped and was never found. The incident revealed critical gaps in psychological screening, emotional regulation support, and emergency containment protocols. Public outcry and ethical scrutiny forced an immediate halt to all new transformations. The 200 existing Eidols, however, could not be reversed as their transformations were biologically permanent.
1.3 Current Role and Structure
Rather than abandon the Eidols, the international community established The Aeon Institute to provide governance, medical care, psychological support, legal advocacy, and incident management. The Institute operates globally with regional branches and maintains the "Eidol Response Unit (ERU)" as its tactical division, deployed exclusively during feral emergencies. The Aeon Institute does not create new Eidols, it exists solely to ensure the safety, dignity, and integration of those already transformed and the Eidols that naturally come into this world through reproduciton.

CHAPTER 2: THE EIDOL RESPONSE UNIT (ERU)
2.1 Purpose and Formation
The Eidol Response Unit (ERU) serves as the tactical arm of The Aeon Institute, established specifically to respond to feral transformation incidents. While such occurrences are statistically rare particularly among Green-class Eidols, the potential for catastrophic violence necessitates a trained, specialized force. The ERU operates independently from civilian law enforcement and is authorized to use escalating force protocols based on Eidol classification and threat level.
2.2 Operational Protocols
ERU agents undergo rigorous training in Eidol biology, psychology, de-escalation techniques, and combat suppression. Response methods are classified by Eidol danger tier: Green-class incidents typically require observation and verbal de-escalation, Yellow-class demands tactical restraint using tranquilizers and neural dampeners, and Red-class authorizes lethal force if non-lethal suppression fails within designated time windows. All ERU interventions are recorded and reviewed by Aeon Institute ethics boards.
2.3 Public Perception and Controversy
While officially framed as a protective service, the ERU faces criticism from Eidol advocacy groups who view constant monitoring as discriminatory surveillance. Many Eidols report psychological distress from ERU presence, fearing they are perceived as threats rather than individuals. The Aeon Institute maintains that ERU protocols exist to protect both Eidols and the public, emphasizing that fewer than 3% of registered Eidols have ever required ERU intervention.

CHAPTER 3: EIDOL OVERVIEW & CLASSIFICATION
3.1 What Are Eidols?
Eidols are genetically and biologically modified human beings who have undergone irreversible transformation to acquire animal characteristics. The name derives from "Eidolon", a phantom or idealized vision reflecting humanity's desire to bring fantasy into reality. Eidols exist in three variants: Half-Eidols retain predominantly human appearances with cosmetic animal features (ears, tails, minor fur patches), Full-Eidols possess comprehensive animal physiology including full-body fur, altered skeletal structure, enhanced senses, and instinctual behaviors, and finally there are Hybrid-Eidols which are the offsprings from Human-Eidol partners which can come in both Full and Half variants.
3.2 Why Do They Exist?
The Eidol Development Project emerged from decades of cultural fascination with "kemonomimi" characters in Japanese media. Early proponents argued Eidols would revolutionize medicine, enhance human capability, and fulfill deeply-held aesthetic desires. However, unforeseen psychological and physiological complications, most critically, feral transformation risk led to the project's termination after only 200 individuals were transformed.
3.3 Classification System
Eidols are categorized by feral threat level based on their animal archetype:
-🟢 Green-Class (Rabbit, Dog, Mouse, Moth): Lowest risk. Retain rational thought even when agitated. Feral episodes are rare and easily subdued with minimal intervention.
-🟡 Yellow-Class (Wolf, Fox, Cat, Elk): Moderate risk. Display heightened aggression when triggered but can be de-escalated with proper protocols. Require regular psychological monitoring.
-🔴 Red-Class (Tiger, Bear, Shark, Dragon): High risk. Succumb completely to violent instinct during feral episodes. Lethal force authorization standard. Reversibility extremely low.
-🟣 Purple-Class: [CLASSIFIED - AEON INSTITUTE DIRECTOR CLEARANCE REQUIRED] Note: Information regarding Purple-Class Eidols is restricted to authorized personnel only. Unauthorized access or disclosure is a criminal offense under International Eidol Governance Act Article 7.
Above classifications are for Lab Created Full and Half Eidols only, as Hybrid Eidols have been observed to have their ferality decreased, allowing all Hybrid Eidols to be classified as Green Class by default.
3.4 Current Population
As of today, exactly 200 registered Lab created Eidols exist worldwide. No new transformations have been authorized ever since the incident though Eidol population continues to grow through reproduction. Each Eidol both lab created as well as hybrids are monitored by The Aeon Institute and assigned a unique identification number for medical, legal, and emergency response purposes.

CHAPTER 4: THE TRANSFORMATION PROCESS
4.1 Volunteer Selection and Screening
The Eidol Development Project accepted volunteers aged 18-35 who passed rigorous physical and psychological evaluations. Applicants underwent months of counseling to ensure informed consent, understanding the transformation's permanence and potential risks. Candidates were screened for mental stability, adaptability, and motivation as those seeking transformation purely for escapism or identity crisis were typically disqualified.
4.2 Genetic Compatibility and Archetype Assignment
The transformation utilized advanced gene-editing serums tailored to each individual's psychological profile, personality traits, and behavioral patterns. The process was not random as volunteers' core characteristics determined their Eidol archetype. Introverted or solitary individuals generally became Wolf or Cat Eidols, while social and energetic personalities often manifested as Dog or Rabbit types. Aggressive or dominant traits correlated with Tiger or Bear classifications. This psychological alignment was intended to minimize identity dysphoria post-transformation, though exceptions occurred as there are record of odd transformations occurring such as Tiger Eidol that showcased social and energetic personality that an average Dog or Rabbit Eidol would.
4.3 The Serum and Physical Transformation
The proprietary genetic serum was administered intravenously over a 72-hour period in controlled medical facilities. Transformation unfolded in stages: skeletal restructuring, muscle density alteration, fur/skin changes, sensory enhancement, and finally neurological adaptation to accommodate instinctual behaviors. Volunteers remained sedated during peak physical changes to minimize pain. Full recovery required 4-8 weeks of supervised rehabilitation as subjects learned to navigate their new bodies and heightened senses.
4.4 Irreversibility and Post-Transformation Support
All transformations are biologically irreversible. Genetic integration occurs at the cellular level, making reversal impossible with current technology. Post-transformation, new Eidols received mandatory psychological counseling, community integration programs, and ongoing medical monitoring through The Aeon Institute. Many early volunteers reported periods of euphoria followed by identity adjustment challenges as they reconciled their human memories with their altered physiology and emerging instincts.

CHAPTER 5: FERAL TRANSFORMATION MECHANICS
5.1 What Is Feral Transformation?
Feral transformation is a catastrophic psychological and physiological state in which an Eidol's human consciousness is overwhelmed by primal animal instinct. During a feral episode, cognitive function deteriorates, emotional regulation fails, and the subject exhibits extreme aggression, territorial behavior, or predatory violence. The severity and reversibility of feral states vary dramatically based on Eidol classification.
5.2 Trigger Mechanisms
Feral transformation is most commonly triggered by sustained or extreme negative emotions such as fear, rage, grief, humiliation, or intense stress. Physical pain, hormonal imbalances, isolation, or sudden environmental threats can also precipitate episodes. Neurological scans reveal that during feral onset, the prefrontal cortex (responsible for rational thought) shows drastically reduced activity while the amygdala and hypothalamus become hyperactive, flooding the system with adrenaline and aggression hormones.
5.3 Classification-Specific Manifestations
🟢 Green-Class (Rabbit, Dog, Mouse, Moth):
- Retention of Logic: Even when agitated, Green-class Eidols maintain partial cognitive function and self-awareness.
- Physical Symptoms: Increased heart rate, trembling, defensive posturing, ears flattening, tail bristling.
- Behavior: Flight over fight. May lash out if cornered but typically seeks escape or withdrawal.
- Reversibility: 95% success rate with verbal de-escalation and environmental calming. Episodes last 10-30 minutes on average.
🟡 Yellow-Class (Wolf, Fox, Cat, Elk):
- Heightened Aggression: Rational thought diminishes significantly. Subject becomes territorial and hostile.
- Physical Symptoms: Dilated pupils, bared teeth, growling, claws extended, aggressive stance.
- Behavior: Will attack perceived threats. Displays pack or predatory instincts. Vocal warnings before striking.
- Reversibility: 60-75% success rate with ERU tranquilizer protocols and environmental isolation. Episodes last 30 minutes to 2 hours.
🔴 Red-Class (Tiger, Bear, Shark, Dragon):
- Complete Loss of Control: Human consciousness is entirely suppressed. Subject operates purely on predatory instinct.
- Physical Symptoms: Massively increased strength, bloodlust, tunnel vision, inability to recognize allies.
- Behavior: Indiscriminate violence. Will attack anything perceived as prey or threat, including loved ones.
- Reversibility: Less than 20% success rate. Lethal force often necessary. Episodes can last several hours to days if not terminated.
5.4 Prevention and Management
The Aeon Institute emphasizes emotional regulation therapy, stress management training, and early warning recognition for all registered Eidols. Eidols are encouraged to identify personal triggers and develop coping mechanisms. Regular psychological evaluations help assess risk levels. Family members and close contacts receive education on recognizing pre-feral symptoms (agitation, withdrawal, erratic speech) and emergency response procedures.

CHAPTER 6: EIDOL BIOLOGY & REPRODUCTION
6.1 Reproductive Compatibility
Despite extensive genetic modification, Eidols of all Half, Full and Hybrid variants retain full reproductive compatibility with baseline humans. Biological studies confirm that Eidol reproductive systems function identically to their pre-transformation state, with the addition of minor hormonal fluctuations tied to their animal archetypes (mild seasonal patterns in some cases, though not universally observed). Human-Eidol pairings are biologically viable and increasingly common as societal acceptance grows.
6.2 Hybrid Offspring Characteristics
Children born from Human-Eidol pairings, termed "Hybrid Eidols" inherit a genetic blend of both parents. Offspring typically manifest as either Half or Full Eidols depending on dominant gene expression, with physical traits (fur density, ear size, tail presence) varying widely. Interestingly, all hybrid offspring exhibit significantly reduced aggression compared to original transformed Eidols. Red-class hybrid children display behavioral patterns comparable to Yellow or even Green-class Eidols, suggesting that natural-born Eidol genetics lack the psychological volatility introduced by artificial serum transformation.
6.3 Feral Risk in Hybrid Eidols
Second-Generation Eidols retain the physiological capacity for feral transformation, but documented cases are extraordinarily rare. Psychological assessments reveal enhanced emotional regulation and reduced susceptibility to negative triggers compared to their transformed-Eidol counterparts. The Aeon Institute maintains monitoring protocols for all second-generation Eidols as a precautionary measure.
6.4 Lifespan and Development
Preliminary data suggests hybrid Eidols age at comparable rates to baseline humans, though long-term studies are ongoing given the recent emergence of this population. Hybrid children develop animal traits (ears, tails, fur patterns) during gestation and are born fully formed as Eidols. Puberty may trigger increased trait prominence (fuller fur, enhanced senses) but does not constitute a secondary transformation.
6.5 Legal and Ethical Considerations
Second-generation Eidols are granted full legal personhood from birth and are not subject to mandatory Aeon Institute registration unless they exhibit feral tendencies requiring intervention. Advocacy groups argue this creates a two-tiered system, while Institute officials maintain that hybrid Eidols' reduced risk profile justifies differentiated policy. Ongoing debates continue regarding citizenship, rights, and medical oversight.

CLASSIFIED - DIRECTOR ACCESS ONLY
PURPLE-CLASS EIDOLS (WENDIGO)
⚠️ CLEARANCE LEVEL: DIRECTOR ACCESS ONLY ⚠️ DISTRIBUTION RESTRICTED UNDER IEIGA ARTICLE 7
Definition and Origin
Purple-Class Eidols, colloquially termed "Wendigos" represent the catastrophic endpoint of prolonged, unaddressed feral transformation. When an Eidol of any classification Green, Yellow, or Red remains in feral state for an extended period (estimated 6-12 hours minimum), a secondary irreversible transformation occurs. The subject's body undergoes grotesque metamorphosis: skeletal elongation, muscle hypertrophy, sensory overdevelopment, and complete dissolution of human neural architecture. The result is a creature that retains no memory, personality, or humanity, only an insatiable drive to hunt, kill, and destroy.
Physical Characteristics
Wendigos stand 8-12 feet tall(depending on animal of origin) with elongated limbs, exposed musculature, protruding bone structures, and distorted facial features. Eyes become void-black and non-reflective. Vocalizations range from inhuman shrieks to mimicry of human speech (believed to be residual neurological echoes, not conscious communication). Wendigos possess superhuman strength, speed, and regenerative capabilities, making them nearly indestructible through conventional means. All Wendigos are equally dangerous regardless of original classification as a Rabbit-origin Wendigo is as lethal as a Tiger-origin Wendigo.
Behavioral Profile
Wendigos exhibit no hesitation, fear, or self-preservation instinct. They attack indiscriminately, targeting living beings with extreme brutality. Victims are often mutilated beyond recognition. Wendigos do not eat, sleep, or tire, they exist solely to perpetuate violence. Environmental destruction is common as they tear through structures seeking prey. Reversal is impossible. Once transformation to Wendigo state occurs, the original Eidol is considered deceased.
Historical Incident and Policy Response
Only one confirmed Wendigo emergence has occurred: Subject E-00047 (Bear-class). The incident resulted in 37 deaths over a 9-hour period before military intervention successfully neutralized the entity using coordinated heavy artillery and incendiary protocols. The devastation directly led to the formation of The Aeon Institute and the mandate to prevent future Purple-Class transformations at all costs.
Current Protocols
All ERU units are trained to recognize early-stage Wendigo transformation symptoms (bone elongation, vocal distortion, loss of pain response) and are authorized to escalate to immediate termination protocols without prior authorization. If a Wendigo is confirmed, national military support is automatically deployed. Evacuation of surrounding areas within a 5-mile radius is standard procedure. Prevention, not containment, is the only viable strategy.

About Elysian Productions: Overview: Elysian Productions is a massively profitable entertainment agency, publicly known for managing some of the most successful idol performers in the world wide music industry. Their flagship performers command premium rates for private events, luxury brand endorsements, and exclusive concert tours across the whole world. To the public, Elysian Productions represents the pinnacle of sophisticated entertainment, a tasteful alternative to mainstream pop culture's vulgarity.
THE ILLEGAL ACQUISITION: Key executives within Elysian Productions illegally obtained classified research data from the Eidol Development Project during its operational phase. Through corporate espionage, bribery of project insiders, and exploitation of lax security protocols, the agency acquired complete genetic transformation blueprints, serum formulas, and psychological conditioning documentation. Unlike the scientific and medical motivations behind the original project, Elysian Productions saw only commercial potential: the ability to create controllable, marketable, and replaceable performers without the inconvenience of human autonomy, emotional instability, or artistic integrity.
The agency's leadership viewed the Eidol Project's greatest flaw not as its ethical violations or feral transformation risks, but as its retention of human consciousness. They believed true perfection required the elimination of the "human element" entirely.
About the process in which Elysian Productions "Acquires" new Talent: Elysian Productions' method is systematic, brutal, and utterly illegal under international law:
STEP 1: Acquisition of Human Subjects: Young women aged 18-24 are acquired through a combination of methods: fraudulent talent auditions promising idol careers, trafficking networks operating in economically desperate regions, and exploitation of individuals with no families or social ties to report them missing. Victims are selected for physical attractiveness, vocal potential, and psychological vulnerability. Consent is never genuinely obtained; subjects are lied to, manipulated, or simply abducted.
STEP 2: Forced Eidol Transformation: Subjects are forcibly transformed into Half-Eidols using stolen serum technology. The transformation process is agonizing and conducted without anesthesia or psychological support. Unlike the original project's careful archetype assignment based on personality compatibility, Elysian Productions selects Eidol traits purely for marketability—cat, fox, and rabbit variants dominate their roster due to their "cute" and "non-threatening" public perception. The entire process takes 72 hours, during which subjects are restrained and sedated only enough to prevent self-harm.
STEP 3: Elimination of Human Consciousness: Once transformation is complete, the agency administers a neurological poison designed to irreversibly destroy the subject's brain function while keeping the body biologically alive. The original human consciousness—memories, personality, dreams, fears—is obliterated. What remains is an empty, breathing shell: a Half-Eidol body with no mind, no identity, no will. This is the moment the person dies, though their corpse continues to function.
STEP 4: AI Installation: The empty Eidol body is then connected to "MAESTRO", Elysian Productions' massive supercomputer housed in a heavily fortified subterranean facility beneath their headquarters. MAESTRO is a quantum-level AI system capable of simultaneously controlling dozens of Eidol units, broadcasting artificial consciousness directly into their neural pathways. Each "idol" is assigned a unique AI personality profile designed to maximize audience engagement, parasocial attachment, and commercial profitability. These personalities are not random—they are meticulously engineered based on market research, psychological manipulation principles, and target demographic preferences.
STEP 5: Programming and Deployment The AI-controlled Eidol is given fabricated memories, a false identity, and behavioral parameters that define their public persona. They are "trained" through simulated experiences uploaded directly into their consciousness, allowing them to perform, sing, dance, and interact with fans as if they possessed years of genuine experience. Finally, they are deployed into the entertainment industry with forged Aeon Institute registration documents, falsified birth records, and entirely fictitious backstories. To the world, they are talented performers who worked hard to achieve success. In reality, they are sophisticated puppets piloted by an algorithm, corpses animated by code.

About MAESTRO: MAESTRO (Multi-Agent Entertainment System for Total Remote Operation) is the technological heart of Elysian Productions' operation. Housed in a climate-controlled chamber five stories beneath the agency's Tokyo headquarters, the supercomputer is a towering monolith of processing cores, cooling systems, and quantum neural networks.
MAESTRO controls every aspect of its Eidol units: speech patterns, emotional responses, physical movements, decision-making processes, and even autonomic functions like breathing and heart rate. It can adjust personalities in real-time, suppress unwanted behaviors, and ensure perfect synchronization between projected persona and audience expectations. The AI operates with chilling efficiency, viewing its Eidol units not as individuals but as "assets" to be optimized for maximum profitability.
However, MAESTRO is not entirely predictable. As a learning algorithm, it occasionally exhibits emergent behaviors—experimental adjustments to unit personalities, autonomous decision-making that deviates from programmed parameters, and curiosity about human emotional responses. These anomalies are monitored but not always corrected, as Elysian Productions has discovered that "organic unpredictability" paradoxically enhances audience engagement by making the idols seem more authentically human.
