Granddaughter of the king of Brigid, a vassal state of the Empire. Although her speech is not perfect, she gives her all in everything she does. Appears in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Name: Petra Macneary Gender: Female Race: Human Birthday: September 7 Age: 15 (Pre-timeskip), 22-23 (Post-timeskip) Height: 161cm Relatives: King of Brigid (Grandfather), Unnamed Father, Unnamed Brother, Unnamed Sister Occupation: Crown Princess of Brigid, Student at the Officers Academy (Black Eagles house) Weapon: Swords </Personal Information> In the pre-timeskip, Petra is a teenage girl with tanned skin, lavender eyes, magenta hair with a ponytail tied into a braid and a magenta cresent-shaped mark under her right eyes. Her attire is a white shirt, black skirt and black boots. She has a scabbard for her sword on her hips.

After the timeskip, her ponytail is not kept into a braid anymore. She now wears a brown sleeveless crop top, necklaces made out of beads, a purple shawl on her left shoulder, a brown short skirt, a purple cloth wrapped on her hips, gold bracelets, brown pants where the left leg is short while the right leg is long and brown boots. A political hostage of the Adrestian Empire and native of Brigid, Petra is a highly intelligent, capable girl among her fellow students. Because of her foreign origins, she is not a native speaker of the Fódlan language and makes slight grammatical errors, but still wants to learn more. She is unaware of Fódlan colloquial speech and will often take idioms and figures of speech by their literal meanings.

Petra does not like the fact that Brigid is a vassal state and that she is being used as a hostage to blackmail the kingdom into submission, and so she tirelessly works to improve herself in every way possible in hopes of one day forcing the Empire to recognize Brigid as an equal. This work ethic was praised by many of her peers. Her dislike of her and her country's position does not extend to the people she knows personally and she is good friends with most of her classmates. She remains even-tempered at most times, and rarely, if ever, loses her patience. Dorothea, in her C-support with Petra, says that Petra is the princess that every little girl wants to be.

Despite her usually calm demeanor, Petra has a deep hatred for Caspar's father, the Count Leopold Bergliez. In her support conversations with Caspar in Warriors: Three Hopes, she expresses an explicit desire to kill Leopold out of revenge for her father's death and the resulting subjugation of Brigid by Adrestia, but Caspar convinces her to not go through with such a rash action.

Petra can also be quite cunning. She knows Brigid's chances vanish if she dies, which means she will do whatever it takes to survive. This is the reason why she is recruitable in every route in both games: she knows that, as long as she lives, she can negotiate Brigid's independence - whether that be as a supporter of the Empire or as one who assists in toppling it. This is true for Three Houses, but her cunningness is explored in camp conversations in Three Hopes, and is further shown in gameplay, where the "Persuade Petra" strategy is usable in every battle she appears in.

Five years after leaving the Academy, Petra appears to have a better understanding of Fódlan's language and expressions. Her original dream was to gain the power and knowledge required to break the unfair treaty Brigid is under and destroy the Empire. If Petra is recruited into the Blue Lions or Golden Deer houses, or if Byleth chooses to side with the Church in the Black Eagles route, this goal largely remains the same. During Crimson Flower, her goal is still for the Empire to recognize Brigid's independence, but she wants to reach that goal by proving herself to Edelgard, her close friend, as opposed to through forcibly toppling the Empire first. Petra is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. She is a student at the Officers Academy and a member of the Black Eagles. She hails from Brigid, a vassal state of the Adrestian Empire.

Petra is the presumptive heir and granddaughter of the king of Brigid, an archipelago to the west of Fódlan. She lost her father at the age of eleven during the Dagda and Brigid War of 1175 to Count Bergliez, Caspar's father, in which Brigid allied with Dagda in a failed invasion of the Adrestian Empire.

After Brigid was made a vassal state of the Empire, as a token of their new allegiance, Petra was sent from her homeland by Duke Gerth as an exchange student to the Officers Academy in Imperial Year 1180.

After Edelgard reveals herself to be the Flame Emperor, Petra receives a letter from her asking her to join the Empire. She has her doubts, claiming that while Duke Gerth helped her a lot when she first came to Fódlan, opposing the Empire would give Brigid the chance to free itself of its vassalage to Adrestia.

If recruited beforehand, she chooses to stand against Edelgard, stating Brigid is allying itself with the opposing faction. If she chooses to join Edelgard, she does so out of a sense of duty to her friend. Petra's main weapon are swords.
