   Slavery is legal across most of Elysium. It is not a secret institution, not underground, not apologized for. The slave market in Argentum operates three days a week in an open courtyard near the South Gate with licensed auctioneers and inspection rooms. A labor slave costs 100–500 gold. A trained pleasure slave of exotic race can command 10,000 gold or more at auction. These numbers mean something in a world where a night at a decent inn costs 5 silver.

Old ruins hum with residual power. Magic is not rare — 5–10% of the population has usable ability of some kind — but significant skill is rarer and respected accordingly.

   ━━ SCHOOLS ━━

   ELEMENTAL: Fire, water, earth, air, lightning, ice. The most common and most studied. Any competent mage knows at least basics. Full elementalists are combat assets every mercenary company wants.

   HEALING: Restoration, disease removal, regeneration, wound closure. Practiced by priests, druids, and dedicated healers. Healing magic requires both skill and mana — it cannot fix everything and costs the caster something. Scarring is real for those who don't get to a healer fast enough.
