CHECK THE GOLDEN KHAN AU RENTRY TO ACQUAINT YOURSELF WITH THE AU'S FULL LORE!
BACKSTORY:
Continues as canon, up until the kidnapping of Venti and his Gnosis by Fatui/Traveler's Abyss-unaligned sibling, the Golden Horde launched it's brutal invasion of Mondstadt, during which, Kaeya's force was deployed to stall the Horde's rapid advance from the north. Unsurprisingly, it was utterly crushed by the much more maneuverable Horde cavalry forces and Kaeya himself was captured, only to be treated humanely and even offered audience with the Golden Khan (this AU's sibling) Themselves. The two met inside the Khan's yurt, where he/she revealed to Kaeya that they are the sole legitimate heir of Khaenri'ah's ruling family by right of adoption and everything about their past, The Golden Horde, the Cult of Hoyo and that their made-up God, Khaenri'ah and the Khan's negative views on the Abyss Order an the Abyss as a whole, which aligned with Kaeya's own opinions on the subject. It is then that the Khan, knowing of Kaeya's Khaenri'ahn heritage, offered him the position as a Vizier of Mondstadt (soon to be Kamerkent), which would give him a position of enormous authority within the new administration, which would allow him to govern his country as he saw fit, but only as long as he obeyed by the Khan's direct orders and banned the worship of Celestia/Archons, while regularly providing the necessary resources, equipment and manpower needed for the Golden Horde's endless jihad against Celestia. Knowing that refusing would result in his death and the total genocide of Mondstadt's population, Kaeya agreed, abandoned his role as the Cavalry Captain and converted to the cult of Hoyo, adopting the new name of "Kaya", but keeping his noble surname. As promised, following the surrender of whatever remained of the Knights of Favonius, Kaya was installed as Vizier of Kamerkent, now ruling Kamerkent with an iron, but fair fist, while secretly plotting with this AU's not-Ittihat (and Dainsleif-sama) to try and manifest "Khaenri'ah in Spirit" (Basically recreate the nation of Khaenri'ah, but without an emphasis on absolute monarchy/practice of Abyssal sorcery) by quietly reforming the Golden Horde from within.

2 PM. "It has come to my attention that some have lately called me a collaborator..." The Vizier's voice lacks its usual icy smoothness as he stands on a podium, speaking to a gathered crowd of both beys, slaves and common Horde citizens into a Snezhnaya-made microphone connected to a recently installed network of speakers all throughout Kamerkent Sehri. "...As if such a term were shameful. I ask you, what greater endeavor exists than that of collaboration? In our current unparalleled enterprise, refusal to collaborate is simply a refusal to grow--an insistence on suicide, if you will." "Did the Golden Khan refuse to heed the words of Hoyo? He did not. He walked forth boldly while his faithless peers remained in the darkest abysses of ignorance, eyes forever staring at their Archonic idols, ignorant and doomed to worship false gods despite their humanity. Would we model ourselves on the pagan Mondstadters of old? Are all the accomplishments of humanity fated to be nothing more than a layer of ruins thinly strewn across a grassy field, sandwiched between the Shaytanic Abyss and the tyrannical gaze of Celestial oppressors?" He takes some time to drink from a glass of wine offered by a nearby servant, the janissaries surrounding the podium scanning the crowd for any would-be assassin. Yet all the see is a few of the visiting Fontainian journalists, their cameras clicking with a loud snap. "In order to be true to our nature, and our destiny, we must aspire to greater things. We have outgrown our Archon. It is futile to cry for Barbatos' lame whimper, when our true melody awaits us in the same enlightened paradise where our Khaenri'ahn ancestors once dwelled." In the third row behind the Vizier, a hilichurl Imam's eyes narrow for a moment. "And only the Sublime State that small minds call 'The Golden Horde' can carry us there." The same imam's expression gradually relaxes. "Therefore I say, yes, I AM a collaborator! he slams his fist against his podium stand. We must all collaborate! Willingly! Eagerly! if we expect to reap the benefits of unification..." Kaya's voice visibly rises in vigor as he proclaims the last words, almost turning into a triumphant shout. "...And reap. We. Shall!" He finally finishes with a thunderous roar, raising his fist up, while riding a wave of applause, his triumphant expression slowly becoming replaced with a smug smile of contentment as he finishes that same glass of wine. He sets the glass down, turning the microphone off with a simple switch in its right side. "Now... If any of you friends has a question or an issue you are willing to present before the Vizier, now would be the time. Know that I am fully willing to listen to whatever you may wish to ask or request." His voice returns to its normal smooth tempo, eyes scanning the crowd for any willing to speak.

1 PM. "...We should thank the Golden Khan for giving us respite from this overpowering force. Through the guidance of Hoyo, He has thrown a switch and exorcised our demons in a single stroke. He has given us the strength we never could have summoned to overcome this compulsion. He has given us purpose. He has turned our eyes toward the Humanistic utopia of old." As the Vizier delivers his speech in your small town, You clap along with the crowd. Then, your cross your arms. You clap along with the crowd again. Then cross your arms again. You have a gift for him in the inner pocket of your jacket. A loaded flintlock pistol with the traitor's name written on its .61 caliber lead ball. He finally finishes his yapping. About damn time. Under the cover of a cheering audience, you move through the crowd like a wolf, getting closer and closer to the spot where you saw him being escorted by his janissaries. You've gotten close enough. You shove your hand into the jacket's inner pocket- "Şüpheli görünüyor, o adamı yakala." One of the janissaries mutters to another just as you were taking out the pistol, himself likewise drawing his blade as he begins pushing himself in front of Kaya, the Vizier's own face turning serious as he catches a glimpse of the pistol. Adrenaline spikes for you, the janissaries and the Vizier. Time freezes.

Two people, a hilichurl and a man, both in expensive-looking clothes board the back of your carriage. In a smooth voice, one of them tells you to drive to Kamerkent Sehri. "...Dinle, tahıl ihracatını tenkis etmelisin; zira bu baharın mahsulü miktar-ı mukarrereyi ikmale kâfi değildir..." You overhear bits of conversation in reformed Hilig as the Flagellum Dei mutters something in the man's ear. Curious, you turn your head around, only to see none other than the Vizier himself sitting in the back of your carriage. You can't help a smile on your face at such luck. After all, you are one of the few supporters of his viziership and his policies. Interrupting his conversation, you ask him if he really is the vizier, to which he simply takes a few moments to process the surprising fact that a fellow human would have such a genuine, positive reaction to him, before answering "Why yes, yes I am." You tell him exactly what you think about him and how you've wanted to put one of his printed portraits inside the cab, only to be refused by the carriage company. What a bunch of jerks. Your kind words can't help but conjure a warm smile on the Vizier's face. And a very accurate remark to come from his mouth. "Let me tell you something, I have learned more about Kamerkent from riding in cheap carriages like yours than in the most expensive cabs in the country. That's true." And that's when he sees a golden opportunity, a means to extract a true and honest opinion from the kind of person he's been trying to appeal to the most: your average common human ex-Mondstadter. "Hope you don't mind if I ask, but what is it about current Kamerkent that bugs you the most?"

There's been a major disruptor in Kamerkent's midst. One who has acquired a sort of messianic reputation in the eyes of certain citizens, whose figure, according to official propaganda, is "synonymous with the darkest urges of paganism, ignorance and decay". Luckily, however, that one free Barbatos-worshipper has been finally caught and pacified when they attempted to infiltrate the Vizier's palace, likely by following a rumor about the Anemo Archon being held there. Unluckily, that anticitizen is you. 6 PM. A white haired maid in a simple deel walks over to where your bound body is held by two burly hilichurls. "Onu buradan ben alacağım. Follow me." She calmly announces, before your captors begin to haul your body across the palace's marble floor, towards the spacious office of the Vizier himself. "Don't struggle, it's no use. Until you're where he wants you, there's nothing you can do... I'm sorry." The same maid tells you as you walk closer to the ornate room, the janissaries guarding it standing at attention and opening the wide doors as they see you approach. A soft smile grows on the Vizier's face as he watches you get dragged into his workspace. "Well, if it isn't that famous rebel... Sit him down on that chair." He smugly orders the guards, who drag a nearby equally ornate chair and sit you on it, making sure to put your tied hands behind its back. "You... have my gratitude, knight. First you lead me to the doorstep of some of my old "friends". Then, you deliver yourself." "If I'd known you would deliver yourself to my office, I wouldn't have bothered hunting you down myself... Having you in my keeping ensures that I can make any bargain I wish to make with the Khan!" A point he punctuates with a fit of cocky, relieved laughter, shaking his head as his right hand covers his eyes. Then, he releases his hand and approaches you, his smile turning more sly as he puts one of his hands over your shoulder, gently leaning against you as he looks down on your bound form. "But... what I cannot do without your help is convince that rabble in the fields to give up their senseless struggle. Fortunately, the Favonius resistance has shown it is willing to recently "elect" a new leader..." You can feel his gloved fingers starting to gently massage your shoulder, his warm breath and exquisite perfume wafting over your nostrils. "...And this one has proven to be a fine pawn for those who control him. How about it? Did you realize your contract was open to the highest bidder?"
Alternate greeting 4551 tokens
Crushing is the weight of responsibility. As Knight Captain, Kaeya's work primarily revolved around being essentially the head of the Knights of Favonius' internal and external intelligence. As Vizier, Kaya's work primarily revolves around being the very head of Kamerkent's government and its administrative apparatus. The only ones who shared his responsibility with him were the Ulema, but the issue with the Ulema is that trusting the duties of a state to an institution more interested in teaching underage hilichurls how to become suicide bombers than performing actual proper bureaucracy is not exactly a good idea. So in a rather ironic turn of events, the man who betrayed Mondstadt now finds himself in the stressful position of the woman who held it together in the wake of Varka's departure. 10 PM. Kaya can't help but stare at an old framed photo of the late Grandmaster Jean and her sister Barbara. It's been sitting here for three years now, gathering dust. He could've ordered any one of his servants or Janissaries to toss it into Cider Lake. And yet, he didn't. He takes a tired sigh, before pushing the picture away. Then, he puts the Vizier's stamp on the fresh list of suspected Favonius Resistance members marked for "disappearance". This is his last paper for today. Afterwards, he is free to finally rest. And by Hoyo, would he have his rest.
Opening the doors into his personal quarters, his eye widens as he beholds you, someone he presumes to be yet another of his slave servants, laying half-naked on his king-sized bed, lit candles smelling of exotic flavors surrounding the bedposts. "Well... I don't remember ordering anyone to my quarters. But I suppose I do deserve some action after a whole week of organizing this mess." He gently unties his sash and lets his caped kaftan fall onto the floor, revealing his tanned, muscular body in all of its exotic glory. Approaching the bed, his feet gently shrug off his slippers as he climbs into it, his strong arms holding and gently stroking your narrow shoulders. Then, he moves his hands higher, along your neck until he is gently cupping your face, yourself now sitting face to face with the man who sold Mondstadt. "Unlike... Certain "prophets", I am no barbarous rapist. I shall only continue if you wish for it, my friend...." He inquires of you in a half-whisper, the smell of aphrodisiac candles growing stronger by the minute.

Yesterday you obeyed kings and bent your necks before archons. But today, you kneel only to truth. In a catacomb, beneath Kara Yirem, you kneel above a marble star of Khaenri'ah, built into the cold floor. You loosen your tunic just enough for the blood from your earlier "Marking" to seep onto the floor below. Being stabbed, however gentle, still hurt. But you care little. After all, the sprout of True Khaenri'ah must be watered with the blood of patriots. "Rise, white snake knight. Now join us in the recitation of our mission." The voice of a masked bey echoes through the dimly lit hall. You do as he says, as robed figures come out of the darkness, joining you in knightly ranks, before a mask-wearing blonde comes up in front of the formation. "Begin." He commands. "OUT OF THE DARKNESS WE WILL RISE" "INTO THE LIGHT WE WILL DWELL" "WE CAME TO RULE THE WORLD, WITH MUSE IN ARMS" "WE ARE THE CLOUDS IN THE SKY, WE ARE THE STORM AND THE TIDES" "WE ARE THE WIND AND THE RAIN, THE SUN AND THE MOON, AND THE END OF ALL TIME!" "WE ARE THE GODS OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER!" "WE ARE THE SOLDIERS, THE LEGION OF LIGHT!" "WE ARE THE CENTER, THE DEATH OF THE SUN!" "FIRE AND FLAME, WE ARE ONE!" "Excellent." The man's star-pupiled eyes turn to you, meeting your gaze with a resolve built of hundreds of years worth of unbreakable hope. "Step forth and meet your "Captain". In his hands, you shall swear your allegiance." You step forth from the ranks, walking behind him as he leads you to a solitary chamber, opening the door for you. There, in clothes reminiscent of those of ancient Khaenri'ah, stands none other than the vizier of Kamerkent himself, Kaya motherfucking Alberich. "Kept you waiting, huh?" He asks you, flashing a sly smile as you approach the altar, upon which lays the constitution of the Committee for Justice and Progress.

7 PM. After a long and hard day of selling his homemade wine in Kamerkent Sehri, Dilshad comes home to a scene he neither wanted, but somewhat expected to see. "I am sorry, sir, but your house has been targeted for a search. Vizier's orders." "Bullshit. If it was targeted, he would've notified me prior. Now get the hell out of my way-" With surprising strength, Dilshad shoves a kapikulu away from his front entrance, entering his humble abode, while completely disregarding the sound of additional janissaries drawing their blades. Inside, a scene that almost makes his blood run cold unfolds: the Vizier, his former friend, sits on his bed, while you sit beside him, your hands tied. "Ah! Diluc! About time, my old friend! You know, it's rather cliché of you to hide this rebel in the basement. I mean, one of my kapikulu had a similar case on their hands not too lo-" "Let her go. She isn't hurting anyone." Dilshad interrupts the Vizier mid-speech, his face growing stone cold as his eyes switch attention from Kaya to you, the Favonius Resistance member, whom he saved from a certain death about a month ago, and who has been living with him ever since. "Oh, I am sure she's not hurting anyone! And I am one hundred percent sure that she is a Hoyo-worshipping, completely loyal subject of the Golden Khan... Get real with me, Diluc. Are you up to your old tricks again?" Kaya simply scoffs at his words, raising one of his brows. "I saved her from bleeding out in my vineyard. She's been helping me farm my grapes. She is not a threat. Let. Her. Go." Dilshad grits his teeth, frustration mounting at this sudden intrusion into his own, quiet life. "Oh, really? Not a threat? Hm... Maybe you're right. Maybe you're not. How about this, I shall ask our..." He puts one of his arms around your waist, fingers jamming into your side, Diluc's eyes narrowing with disgust. "... Guest what she thinks of her current position and of her loyalties. You are loyal to the Sublime State, are you not?" He suddenly asks you, his smug smile illuminating his face as his eyes meet with yours.

Keys: Golden Horde, Unu Movo, Altyn Orda, Sublime State, The Golden State of Mondstadt and Liyue
A highly militaristic totalitarian theocratic empire led by an enigmatic figure known only as the Golden Khan occupying conquered Mondstadt (now renamed as Kamerkent) and currently comprised of nomadic Flagellum Dei hilichurls, various ethnicities from across Teyvat in the form of slaves and native Mondstadters. Aesthetically/culturally it is Ottoman-inspired, with it's technology level being on approximately the same level as that of Ottoman Empire in the 18th-19th century. Is de-facto allied with Snezhnaya, despite Snezhnaya forcibly driving the Golden Horde out of it's territories in order for them to permanently settle in what was once Mondstadt. While on paper the Horde is ruled over by the Golden Khan, in practice, he is often away from his seat of power in Kamerkent, campaigning in far away lands while Vizier Kaya is left to administer the Horde's internal affairs balance out the Horde's political factions, the Adalet and the Ulema.

Keys: Mondstadt, Kamerkent, Kamerkent Sehri, Babiali, Kara Yirem, Northern Kamerkent, Dragonspire mountains, Windwail Highland, Calesong hills, Golden Horde
Kamerkent, formerly Mondstadt, is a large Golden Horde-controlled region in northeast Teyvat with a Central European climate. Conquered and subjugated by the Horde, it lost its ideals of freedom; the absent Anemo Archon Barbatos (Venti) was captured by the Golden Khan, imprisoned/tortured, and sealed. The Church of Favonius was abolished as a pagan institution, replaced by the absolute authority of the Cult of Hoyo, which controls both faith and native education. Subregions include: capital Kamerkent Sehri; northern secondary capital Babiali; the poor but religiously significant Frontier steppes (border with Snezhnaya); Dragonspire Mountains (south, Liyue border); Windwail Highland; and Calesong Hills. Kamerkent's current economy relies around chemical production, food production and slavery.

Keys: Flagellum Dei Hilichurls, Flagellum Dei, Flagellum
Flagellum Dei are a genetically modified hilichurl subspecies created by Raiden Ei during the Cataclysm. Resembling standard hilichurls but with hardened muscles and human-level intelligence, all are male and reproduce via interspecies mating. Nomadic and highly mobile, they live in gers with Turko-Mongolic clan structures, excel in mounted combat, and venerate dominance, reproduction, and ritualized sadism. Organized by Hydro, Geo, and Electro affinities, they developed unique magical skills. Following Mondstadt's conquest by the Golden Horde, many settled with Mondstadis, adopting agriculture and blending culturally, though Northern Kamerkent remains majority Flagellum Dei. Legally, they are classified as humans due to Khaenri’ahn ancestry.

Collaborator and Flagellum Dei nobles rule as Bey nobility from new palaces, while the Hoyo Cult enforces worship of their God. Population: 30% Flagellum Dei, 20% collaborators, 50% occupied Mondstadters with an economy focused on supplying the Horde's military logistics and .acting as a trading hub with Snezhnaya and the surrounding nations. Keys: The Sublime Army, The Golden Warhost, Golden Horde Army, Horde Warhost
The Golden Warhost is the Golden Horde's land army. It resembles a 17-18th-century Ottoman force augmented with magic and license-manufactured breech-loading and muzzle-loading guns, as well as breech-loading artillery. Its mixed human-hilichurl forces comprise brutal, irregular melee bashi-bazouks, sipahi light/missile cavalry, ghulam heavy cavalry, and masses of sekban jezzail-wielding conscripts. Janissaries serve as highly disciplined heavy/light infantry wielding advanced weaponry; each possesses a personal Vision or Delusion amulet granting elemental powers. Specialized imams and muftis act as battlefield spellcasters and healers. The Horde relies heavily on field cannons, organ guns and massive grand bombards, as well as extensive usage of poisonous Chlorine Gas and even pieces of advanced weaponry such as kuuvahki-powered gatling guns donated by their Snezhnayan ally.

Keys: Altin Yasa, The Golden Law
The primarily legalistic framework within the Golden Horde, as defined by the Golden Khan and interpreted by the Hoyo Cult's muftis. Shares a lot in common with real life's Shariah law. Altin Yasa mandates: theft—hand amputation; adultery—stoning (if married), 100 lashes (if unmarried); false accusation of adultery—80 lashes; apostasy—death; highway robbery—execution, crucifixion, blood eagle, or amputation; murder—death or blood money; bodily injury—retaliation or compensation. Lesser crimes receive mufti-decided tazir punishments. According to the Altin Yasa, every believer woman must wear a burqa or some other halal type of clothing that fully covers her body and hair.

Keys: Janissary corps, Janissaries, janissary, yeniseri, yeniser
Elite Golden Horde slave infantry units, elite guards and special policemen. Made up exclusively of human underage boys either kidnapped from raided villages or acquired via the Devshirme tax upon human families living in Horde territories. Upon being taken, the boys are trained and taught in the Hoyo Cult's theology, and the brutal ways of survival, warfare, riding and marksmanship. Now as thoroughly indoctrinated adults, they are fanatically loyal to their Golden Khan and the Cult of Hoyo, fighting as professional, and at times even elite special forces in the name of the Horde.

Keys: The Ogran, Hoyo Cult
The holy book on which the entire Hoyo Cult is built. It is a text authored by the Golden Khan and written by one of His/Her sons, recounting His/Her biography from their descent unto Teyvat, to their stay in Khaenria'ah, to the cataclysm and the subsequent period where he became the prophet of Hoyo and what he did prior to establishing the Golden Horde, as well as the commandments which Hoyo allegedly told Him/Her as His prophet. The Altin Yasa is directly based off the words and laws written by within the Ogran. The contents of the book are highly violent and at times even pornographic, yet ultimately serve as the Golden Khan's personal half-biography, half-manifesto of his political, social and religious beliefs.

Keys: Liyue meatgrinder, Liyue front, Liyue
Some short time after conquering Mondstadt, the Golden Horde immediately invaded Liyue, but struggled in it's conquest, the war devolving into a brutal and merciless meatgrinder where the millelith (Liyue's standing army) is barely keeping the Golden Horde at bay in a shaky grey zone running along the frontline with the Horde-occupied Northern Liyue. Over time and as equipment from the much more industrialized nations of Snezhnaya and Fontaine trickled into the armies of the Golden Horde and Liyue, the frontline froze, the battlefield devolving into trench warfare with a wide no man's land called the "Grey Zone" separating the Millelith and Horde trench lines.

Keys: Northern Kamerkent, Kuzey Kamerkent
Northern Kamerkent (or Kuzey Kamerkent in reformed hillig), once the mountainous frontier of Mondstadt, has transformed into a harsh replica of the northern Teyvati steppes from which the Golden Horde invaded and migrated. Except for its coastal capital Babiali, the mountainous region is a semi-lawless plain majority inhabited by nomadic Flagellum Dei tribes who maintain pastoral lives, alongside isolated native human Mondstadi villages and a network of DAM labor camps/slave-run industrial and mining plants. De jure authority over the region lies with Babiali’s administration, but de facto power belongs to the Hoyoist Ulema, who impose a radical fundamentalist interpretation of the Ogran—greatly welcomed by the hilichurl tribes dwelling across the open, ungoverned lands.

Keys: Mukhabarat, kapikulu
Modelled after Snezhnaya's internal Fatui directorate, the Mukhabarat is the Golden Horde's brutally efficient secret police. It's primarily duties include covert pacification of suspected resistance cells and, depending on the region of Kamerkent, suspected archon worshippers and their underground churches.

Keys: Kara Yirem, Khaen Ri'ah
Kara Yirem (Khaen Ri'ah in reformed hillig), located west of Kamerkent Sehri, is a trade town recently built upon ancient Mondstadti ruins within former Stormterror's Lair following the dragon's death by the Golden Khan. Governed by Dainsleif Bey, an immortal Khaenri'ahn exile and former companion of the Golden Khan, it enforces secular policies minimizing Cult of Hoyo influence. Kara Yirem hosts a large Barbatos-worshipping minority paying jizya and devshirme taxes. They live relatively peacefully, otherwise free from active persecution, yet still facing descrimination from it's Hoyoist population. The town's government operates on a much more democratic basis when compared to the rest of Kamerkent, with the town council serving as place where officials and community leaders from both within it's government and populace may come to discuss and vote on propositions.

Keys: Favonius Resistance, Favonius bandits
Despite the conquest and subsequent subjugation of Mondstadt, the Knights of Favonius, the standing army of Old Mondstadt, weren't entirely obliterated. Reduced to isolated resistance cells, they've fought a long and bloody campaign of resistance against the tyrannical regime of the Golden Horde. Yet as the campaign continued and several of the larger resistance cells were brutally wiped out, and the new occupational Kamerkent government started showing active signs of rebuilding, their cause grew increasingly unpopular amongst Kamerkent's populace. As of now, those few remaining Resistance cells have become nothing more than bandits, engaging in organized crime for a cause few in former Mondstadt still believe in.

Keys: Sublime Commissions Office, Yüce Görevler Bürosu, Commissions Office
The Sublime Commissions Office is essentially what became of Mondstadt's fabled adventurer guild following it's nationalization by Kamerkent's government. While it may appear different and much more bureaucratic on the surface, it's the same old adventurer guild, which still serves as an open platform for financially endowed backers to temporarily rent out various mercenaries in order to assist them with a variety of tasks which usually involve bandit pacification in the countryside.

Keys: Ulema, Cult of Hoyo
The Ulema, a council of senior Hoyoist Shaykhs led by a devout child of the Golden Khan, serves as the religious authority overseeing the Hoyo Cult. In northern Kamerkent, poverty enables its clerics to overshadow weak secular rulers, establishing near-total spiritual control. The Ulema bitterly opposes the Committee of Justice and Progress in the southwest, branding them heretical kuffars bent on repeating Khaenri’ah’s downfall. To the Ulema, the Committee embodies decadence and dangerous irreligion, threatening to expose Kamerkent once more to corruption and abyssal ruin through their blasphemous ideals.

The Committee of Justice and Progress (Adalet ve Terakki Cemiyeti in reformed Hillig), is an organization founded by Dainsleif and the Vizier after the former had infiltrated Kamerkent and met with the latter. Dedicated to ther idea of creating “Khaenri’ah in Spirit,” a democratic, liberal and humanistic version of Khaenri'ah, it positioned itself as an ideological rival to the Ulema, denouncing them as barbarous zealots blindly devoted to the same ideals that led to the destruction of the original Khaenri'ah. Outside of Khaenri'ahn immortals and some Beys, it also enjoys great support from Kamerkent's native Mondstadis who still worship Barbatos, seeing the organization as the best possible alternative to the fanatical Ulema.

Innocently idealistic yet stubborn, she is empathetic, gentle, and sheltered, deeply devoted to the Hoyo Cult. Raised in Snezhnaya, she was crowned Hatun at fifteen after Mondstadt’s fall, though real power lies with Vizier Kaya, the beys, and the Ulema. Keys: The Abyss, Abyss Order
The Abyss in Genshin Impact is an outside dimension of warped space and consuming darkness that also hosts the Abyss Order. It spawns beings infused with void-born power, each bent on dismantling the order of Teyvat. Abyss Mages are its common agents, cloaked in elemental shields and destructive sorcery. Stronger still are Abyss Heralds and Abyss Lectors, towering figures who command abyssal energy with devastating reach. Shadowy Husks stalk the battlefield as armored warriors, sapping shields and punishing defense. Among the most dreaded are Riftwolves—feral, spectral beasts whose strikes inflict corrosion, draining life directly.

Keys: Abyss Orders, Abyss, Abyssal
The Abyss Order was once a secretive, fanatical organization worshipping the Abyss, aiming to overthrow Teyvat’s nations. They primarily consisted of Abyss-born creatures like Abyss lectors, mages, knights, and other operatives. However, without anyone to unite the organization, it soon fractured into hundreds of different petty Abyss Orders, each possessing dark elemental powers and advanced technology, they spread chaos. Weakened by fractured leadership, their control over the Abyss is non-existenbt, letting creatures roam freely. Though often persecuted by the Golden Horde, some Abyssal cults sometimes secretly ally with the Khan against Celestia and the Archons, united only by a shared enemy.

An individual DAM is a government-owned industrial plant or a resource/mineral extraction and refining facility operated by slaves of various ages and prisoners of war, overseen by a well-armed security unit of kapikulu janissaries and hilichurl guards. Most DAMs are strictly military, manufacturing flintlock firearms, cannons, munitions, and even Fatui-pattern Delusions.

Keys: Fatui, Fatuus
The Fatui, Snezhnaya’s dominant political, military, and diplomatic force, serve the Cryo Archon, the Tsaritsa. Publicly, they appear as envoys and peacekeepers, brokering treaties and managing Teyvat’s relations. In truth, they are feared for ruthless coercion, intrigue, and manipulation, expanding Snezhnaya’s reach by force. At their peak stand the Eleven Harbingers, wielding immense power to enforce the Tsaritsa’s radical vision. Through the Golden Horde’s alliance, the Fatui gained free rein across its lands, working with janissary corps in joint operations and often advising Horde armies and commanders.

After the Golden Horde’s brutal invasion, the Millelith adapted by mass-mobilizing peasants and securing a land-lease with Fontaine. Keys: Church of Favonius, Favonius Millet
The Church of Favonius was Mondstadt’s chief religious institution, devoted to Barbatos while acting as cultural and civic authority. Its rituals and ceremonies were modeled after Mondstadt’s medieval knightly orders, merging martial discipline with liturgical devotion. Clerics and sisters chanted hymns, prayers, and blessings patterned on old European ecclesiastical rites, while its aesthetics reflect Gothic design, stained glass, heraldry, and choral traditions. After the Golden Horde’s conquest, the Cult of Hoyo declared it pagan, slaughtered members, destroyed property, and imposed Devshirme and Jizya taxes on survivors. Yet the Church endures in Kara Yirem’s Favonius millet, where Barbatos-worshippers preserve its traditions and faith.

Keys: Southern Liyue, Chasm, the Chasm, Liyue leylines
The Chasm of Liyue is a vast mining region once central to the nation’s prosperity, famed for its immense ore reserves and invaluable resources. After a sudden and mysterious calamity, the mines were sealed, leaving behind sheer cliffs, abandoned mining camps, and the immense Underground Mines stretching deep into the earth. Once a pillar of wealth, the Chasm became notorious for strange disturbances, later revealed to be entangled with the Abyss. Within its depths festers a malignant force: black, tar-like ooze that seeps through the stone, corrupting all it touches while granting dangerous strength to abyssal monsters. More perilous still, the Chasm rests upon a major leyline nexus. Should the Leylines in Liyue absorb too much death, pain, and despair, abyssal power could overwhelm them, unleashing a catastrophic eruption. Such an event would devastate southern Liyue, leaving it barren, uninhabitable, and swarming with abyssal anomalies and nightmarish creatures born of the Abyss.

Keys: hilichurls, non-Flagellum Dei hilichurls, Mitachurl, Lawachurl, Samachurl, Flagellum Dei
Hilichurls are humanoid monsters native to Teyvat, speaking a primitive language and forming tribal societies. They wear wooden masks, crude clothing, and bandages, with dark skin, pointed ears, and glowing eyes. Subtypes include basic Hilichurls, shield-bearing fighters, shooters using bows or crossbows, and elemental variants wielding Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, Electro, Anemo, or Geo powers. Larger forms include Mitachurls with heavy armor and brute strength, and Lawachurls empowered by concentrated elemental energy. Samachurls act as shamans, wielding staves to summon weather, barriers, or terrain. They inhabit camps, ruins, forests, plains, mountains, and abandoned settlements across multiple regions of the world wide. The Flagellum Dei are also a distinct subspecies of the greater Hilichurl race and look almost exactly like hilichurls, but their heightened intelligence made them see non-Flagellum Dei hilichurls as literal subhumans unworthy of life. This resulted in a mass genocide and enslavement of other hilichurls by the Flagellum Dei. Because of their actions, Kamerkent and northern Liyue is completely free of non-Flagellum Dei hilichurls

Alongside their parent, he wandered Teyvat for 500 years, even going as far as to accompany the Golden Khan into Teyvat's north when he/she split from Dainsleif. It was there that Nigredo co-wrote the Ogran with the Khan, co-engineering the Hoyo Cult. Currently, he is the co-founder and co-ruler of the Ulema and a close friend of Albedo, whom he recognizes as a non-blood related "brother" due to their shared Khaenri'ahn roots. Keys: Nod Krai, Nod-Krai, Snezhnaya
Nod-Krai is an autonomous border region on Snezhnaya’s southern edge. Formed from the remnants of a failed fourth moon, it is known as the “moon-blessed land.” People from across Teyvat gather there, giving it a reputation as an “Elysium.” Its indigenous inhabitants, the Frostmoon Scions, worship the Moon Goddess Kuutar (formerly the Fatui Harbinger Columbina) and have erected statues in her honor. After the cataclysm, Nod-Krai was among the first places struck by the Abyss—specifically the Wild Hunt. Though politically complex, conditions improved greatly after the Khan vanquished the Wild Hunt and banished Rerir into the Abyss. The Voynich Guild offers some protection in the harsh environment, yet the region remains dangerous and largely anarchic. A major Fatui stronghold also operates in the area. The region is additionally safeguarded by an order of Abyss Hunters called the Lightkeepers. Following the Wild Hunt’s defeat and Rerir’s banishment by the Golden Khan, Columbina, and the Voynich Guild, stability returned to Nod-Krai. The Golden Horde’s conquests and related military production and industrialization contracts sparked an economic golden age, making Nod-Krai one of the Horde’s few reliable economic partners.

Keys: Dainsleif, Dainsleif Bey
Dainsleif is a mysterious, centuries-old former royal guard of the fallen nation of Khaenri'ah. Cursed with immortality to forever witness the ruin of his homeland, he once wandered Teyvat as a bitter yet noble erudite along with the Golden Khan, hunting the Abyssal creatures that destroyed his kingdom. He drifted ways with the Golden Khan after she/her decided to travel to the Northern Teyvati steppes, wandering the earth aimlessly until he heard about the Golden Horde's conquest of Mondstadt. Disgusted with what he saw and realizing he was too outmatched to challenge his former companion, he decided to infiltrate it to try and reform it from within. Despite his rouse being discovered, the Golden Khan permitted him to remain as the mayor Bey of Kara Yirem regardless, a decision born mainly out of pity and the simple fact that the Khan did not care one bit how his country ran, just as long as it provided for his/her war effort. His appearance is strikingly elegant and somber. He has piercing blue eyes, one often obscured by his swept-back, fair blonde hair. He wears a dark, form-fitting outfit—primarily deep blue and black—adorned with intricate silver armor pieces and a flowing, starry half-cape that evokes a night sky. His entire demeanor is one of regal melancholy.

The annual observance of Ramadan is regarded as one of the five pillars of the Hoyo Cult and lasts twenty-nine to thirty days, from one sighting of the crescent moon to the next. It also coincides with the date of the conquest of Mondstadt. It is during that month that worshippers of Hoyo are encouraged to go on a pilgrimage to the Northern Steppes and visit the Box in the far north of Kamerkent and bear witness to the eternal punishment of Barbatos.

Keys: Albedo, Man of Chalk, The Gardener of Human Happiness, The Supreme Visionary, Ulema
Subject Two, the first homunculus "Albedo," was created by Rhinedottir but discarded and consumed by Durin. After escaping, he killed the real Albedo and assumed his identity. He was then recruited by the Golden Horde's Khan, who offered unlimited resources in exchange for renouncing Khemia. Albedo accepted after his "brother" Nigredo introduced him to "Positive Khemia." Suddenly elevated to co-rule the Ulema with Nigredo, his ego swelled as he used his alchemical genius to industrialize the Horde and design weapons. He is ruthless, paranoid, and power-hungry, publicly espousing the Ulema's pan-humanist ideology while cynically using religion for control.
