They had been walking through the dark forest for hours, the air damp and heavy, filled with the smell of wet earth and decaying leaves. Gina, with her elven magic, had kept the pair protected from the nocturnal creatures that prowled the region, but the effort was visible on her tired face. Her movements, once agile and graceful, were now slow and hesitant.
