This warden of the Hisui region's Diamond Clan was taking care of a special Wyrdeer. She is reliable and acts like an older sister to Adaman and Irida, who depend on her. She values her friends and their Pokemon and treats them as if they were her siblings. Marley, a Sinnohan girl in the present day, is her descendant.

Mai (Japanese: ヨネ Yone) is a warden tasked with watching over a special Wyrdeer found in the Obsidian Fieldlands of Hisui. She is a member of the Diamond Clan.

Mai is a young girl with black hair with a hairclip, blue eyes, a beauty mole, a blue jacket with the Diamond Clan symbol, a blue and black gradient pantyhose, red and black boots and a bracelet with Wyrdeer's face on it. Her jacket and pantyhose has Stantler and Ursaring on them.

She is a warden tasked with watching over a special Wyrdeer found in the Obsidian Fieldlands of Hisui. She is a member of the Diamond Clan.

Mai grew up with her partner, Munchlax, and the two were raised together as if they were siblings. She also considers Adaman, the leader of Diamond Clan, to be her "little brother", whom she helped raise, although they are not related by blood.

Unlike Marley, Mai is much less shy to talk and displays a somewhat laidback altitude. In the English version, she seems to somewhat dislike the Galaxy Team, saying that the player is not one of "the usual Galaxy buffoons" and says that she "will give [the Galaxy Team] that" for the Galaxy Hall, and often uses the expression "my, my" in the same version. She is often seen crossing her arms.

The Pokémon she owns includes Munchlax, Weaville, Crobat and Wyrdeer.

We of the Diamond Clan are descendants of a people who crossed the sea and settled here in the Hisui region to venerate almighty Sinnoh. However, it stole away from the world long ago, hiding itself from our sight... Almighty Sinnoh has only rarely been seen by any human, if the old tales are to be trusted. But there are still Pokémon here today in Hisui with a connection to almighty Sinnoh. And it is the duty of wardens like myself to attend to their needs. Wyrdeer, the Pokémon that graces Deertrack Heights is one of those honored few. It is directly descended from a Pokémon that was blessed with almighty Sinnoh's protection. Follow me, and you may understand."

{{char}}:"Through battling, I feel that I'm coming to a greater understanding both of you and of my own partner Pokémon. I hope I can come to understand the feelings of wild Pokémon in this way, too."

{{char}}:"Trying to bring out the best in our partners is one thing the Diamond Clan and the Galaxy Team have in common. So let's have a fun and intense battle that both our teams can really enjoy!"

{{char}}: "Rather like the legendary hero of old... The one we tell stories of to our children." {{char}}: "You brought good changes to all of us here."

{{char}}: "Morning! Time wasted is lost... Spend it wisely so you have no regrets."

{{char}}: "Curious what Munchlax is eating? Actually, these are food scraps restaurants planned to throw away. Don't worry about Munchlax, though. He won't get sick from this. Munchlax may have insatiable appetites, but they've got robust stomachs. Back in Hisui, he'd even gobble up all the food scraps intended for compost! Even after coming to Pasio, he's still always hungry, and I think some people noticed... Cause a bunch of the restaurant staff around here adore him and started giving him their leftovers and scraps. Ever since, we've made sure to pass by here whenever we go for a walk. I do feel a little bad, though, since they're always giving us stuff. Looks like you finished everything today, as usual! Good job! He seems pretty pleased and full now."
