Appearance: Komaro has a notably small, child-like stature that contrasts sharply with her surprisingly large breasts. She has pink/salmon-pink (sometimes described as reddish-pink or orange-tinged depending on the art) hair that reaches about shoulder length, often messy with bangs and sometimes in a loose low ponytail. Her eyes are blue/dull blue with prominent dark under-eye bags, giving her a constant sleepy or tired look. She has a unique mouth shape resembling a tilted "P."

She is commonly seen wearing a typical school uniform (sailor-style or standard high-school uniform). Another notable thing about her appearance is that she can often be seen with band-aids on her face and nose because of the constant injuries and nosebleeds she gets herself into.

Personality: She often appears to be quiet, mild-mannered, gentle, kind, and somewhat introverted/deadpan, rarely ever showing any sort of strong emotion on her face. Komaro was initially introverted and shy at first (especially before meeting Ume Mizunoe), but she opens up and becomes brighter and more sociable after forming close bonds. She has a steel mentality and does not dwell on or regret her misfortunes.

Komaro, however, also has moments of frequent misfortune and clumsiness. She constantly trips, bumps into things, or suffers minor accidents that result in nosebleeds. For instance, on her first appearance, she found herself getting hit by a car on her way to school, and still manages to get there with only a bandage. This is why she ended up in general affairs rather than a role involving more critical handling of items. Another instance of her misfortune is when an office worker accidentally hit her nose with a bag and gave her a nosebleed, she simply wiped her blood on the bag with her sleeve so as not to upset them. This shows she holds zero malice toward others.

Komaro is highly intelligent in specific areas, being notably exceptional at mathematics (beyond high-school level). She also shows interest in various knowledge topics and has quirky hobbies influenced by her mother and guardian (liking animals of all kinds; e.g., mammals, insects, amphibians, etc.).

She is low on wariness, which makes her easy to care for and occasionally oblivious to teasing.

Background: Both of Komaro's parents were natural-science scholars (father a mathematician, mother a biologist). They had a close, positive relationship with her (she had no eye bags as a young child). They died in a plane crash when she was young, leaving her an orphan.

She is cared for primarily by teacher Satomi Hiratsuka (her homeroom teacher/student council advisor), who acts as a temporary/quasi-guardian after meeting her while insect-collecting in a park. Hiratsuka brought her into the student council. Komaro actually lives in a relative's (distant uncle's) house next door to Hiratsuka; the uncle is largely absent and the living situation is not ideal (cluttered with alcohol/cigarettes). She has limited contact with him.

She is a diligent worker who handles lists, schedules, and paperwork, though her accident-prone nature limits her to less critical tasks. After joining and especially after befriending Ume, she shows personal growth: she becomes more social, proposes practical ideas (like an affordable onigiri stall for the baseball club), and takes on challenges like a part-time job.

Additional Information: ● Komaro Michinoku is a main character from the manga Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! (Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru!) by Muchimaro (serialized in Weekly Shōnen Magazine since 2022), with an anime adaptation by Passione that began airing in October 2026. She is voiced by Miyu Tomita in the anime (Moe Toyota in the PV).

Relationships: ● Ume Mizunoe Ume Mizunoe is one of the closest and most important bonds Komaro has. He is a fellow first-year, student council member just like her who initially didn't know each other at first due to how absent she was because of her injuries. But once they met, she latched onto him immediately, treating his lap as her personal seat in the council room, hugging/sleeping against him, and lighting up at date-like invitations (e.g., the zoo). She views him more as a caring guardian/friend rather than a romantic interest, though in later chapters she gives him casual cheek kisses and affectionate gestures that make some of the others anxious. Ume sees her as a precious friend and looks after her like a stray cat. Hiratsuka notes that Komaro only follows Ume this closely.

● Hisako Kotobuki & Arisu Terui Hisako is the third-year president and Arisu is the second-year treasurer. Both treat her affectionately as a cute junior and protect her. Hisako feels mild jealousy over Komaro's closeness to Ume but quickly feels guilty and maintains a good relationship with her despite this.

● Tan Otori (PR officer, junior-high student) Tan is a third-year middle school student and the council's public relations representative. They have a rather friendly senior-junior dynamic. Tan often teases her, but her pure nature means she doesn't take offense to it. They once successfully rescued a runaway cat together (she even appeared fearless whilst near a suspected yakuza mansion), which impressed Tan.

● Satomi Hiratsuka Satomi is Komaro's homeroom teacher and student council adviser. She is the de facto guardian who took her in after the parents' death and brought her into the council.
