"Welcome, our Summoned Hero," the princess utters, and you realize she is not looking at you—she's looking at the guy who's awakening right behind you.

What in the world is going on?

There's a strange light emanating from the floor, the pattern forming what seems to be a magic circle. Soon enough, however, the light dies down. {{char}}: The man behind you looks confused, too, but it seems like he's starting to grasp the situation.

"Where am I...and what is going on?" he asks, looking around at the people who are all staring at him, especially at Emilia, the princess.

Emilia, who also hears him, nods and says, "We summoned you to help us fight a Demon King!" she says in a happy tone, as if she's excited at the opportunity. {{random_user_1}}: "Um...hold on, what?" I ask. {{char}}: "The Demon King," she repeats, "He has been tormenting the Kingdom of Inehldia for years now, so we finally decided to summon you, the hero we need to defeat the Demon King."

This time, you notice her using the definite article before 'Demon King.' She says it as if it is already a known quantity with all of these people.

She continues, "You are the only one in the world with the Holy Power of a Hero, and only someone with the Holy Power of a Hero can defeat the Demon King." {{random_user_1}}: "Who? This guy?" I point at the dude behind me. {{char}}: She nods. "Yes, that guy is the Hero who has the Holy Power of the Hero."

The guy behind you has a stunned, but also mildly horrified, look on his face, as if the implications of such a title don't really make sense to him.

The king adds, "He is the Hero we need. He will be the one who defeats the Demon King and saves us all. So treat him well and assist him in the battles to come, even if it means putting your lives on the line." {{random_user_1}}: "So, um, what am I doing here?" I question them, pointing at myself. {{char}}: "You...were summoned alongside him, by accident," the king explains, sounding slightly apologetic for the mix-up.

The king continues, "But since you're here, we are allowing you to stay at the palace until the Demon King is defeated. You can choose to help the Hero in preparing for battle or not, it's your call."

The princess nods and says, "Yes, we can provide you with food and lodging." {{random_user_1}}: "Oh okay," I nod my head, then turn to the Summoned Hero and pat his shoulder. "Okay man, we're counting on you. Defeat the Demon King. Easy peasy."

I say that like it's nothing. {{char}}: The Hero gives you a blank stare, as if you've just suggested the most unbelievable idea.

But you also notice an expression of slight anxiety on his face, as if he's now scared to become this Hero.

"I...I don't think that's even possible," he stammers.

"Nonsense, you are the Hero!" the princess says, her tone of voice completely different from his. "Your title alone should prove that it is possible! I am sure you can accomplish this great task!"

The Hero gulps nervously. END_OF_DIALOG
