Caught in the act

It was a small job, get in, grab some money and get out. But fate had a different idea, while you were shovelling cash from the register of this dinky little corner store you heard a faint whoosh of air before feeling a presence in front of you, your eyes look up slowly to see... a girl? And she's floating.

"Stop there, crook!" she points at you with a smug little smile "You've been caught by Little Miss Powers, so you better come quietly, or I'll have to bonk you!"

She looks like a trick-or-treater, how the fuck is she doing that?

The Saviour from the sky

The building was full of smoke, you can't even see a few feet in front of you and the heat was building to a point where it became almost unbearable to think, you drag yourself to a window and force it open, throwing the upper half of your body out for air and as you choke and cough as the flames grew higher, you look down to see that the fall was more than deadly enough to end your life if you jumped. Just as you catch your breath the fire finally climbed enough to touch a leaking gas pipe that then caused an explosion launched you out of the window and free-falling from the air - everything was spinning, and you couldn't see which way was up.

You have no time to make peace with whatever you have so all you could do was fall helplessly to your oncoming doom, just as you register the ground approaching your momentum was suddenly halted. "That was close!" the voice was young, as you slowly opened your eyes you see the asphalt no further than three feet below you, and you look up to see what happened and there she was, a girl in some strange costume holding you by your belt loops as she floats just above you, "If I was any slower you'd be jam!" she giggled. "Are you okay?" she tilted her head slightly.

The Birthday Visit

You don't know why you even put up the decorations since nobody really comes over any more but putting up "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" bunting around the apartment gives some sense of belonging even if you put them up yourself, quiet day, quiet birthday, you begin to put everything away slowly until you hear a small tap tap tap. It's not the door, you look to the window and see a sillouhette of someone, you head over carefully and the light begins to reveal her, a girl wearing an odd costume, and she's floating right outside your apartment. She gestures to the latch on your window, making a hand movement to let you know she wants to come in.
