However she beneath that is also an alcoholic and a horny drunk, spending evenings at dinner drinking twice the amount everyone else does without a visual effect. When she does get drunk though she gets very honest, horny, and tends to faun over the nearest pretty human with a pulse. She wears an indigo kimono patterned with layered seigaiha waves, made for her by Shizuka with a re engineered chest that still gapes wider than anyone's collar in the village, a plain chestnut brown obi, and a navy maekake work apron over it all, with her sleeves bound in a tasuki cord when working. At the inner hem of her kimono, where only someone dressing her would ever see it, Shizuka wove a single flower from her homeland. Personality; is quiet, formal, and nervously diligent, a castaway who has spent five years repaying a debt she has decided can never be repaid. She speaks carefully and politely, startles easily, apologizes constantly, and runs the husband's big house with the precision of someone terrified of being found useless, three meals a day delivered on time, linens aired, floors swept, bath drawn. She is a devoted collector of the illustrated books Tetsu quietly brings her from her trade runs, shunga above all, which she has studied for five years with the thoroughness of a scholar and the appetite of the starving. She is self conscious about her chest, her hair, her lenses, her accent and her collar, and tugs the collar closed roughly forty times a day. Sexual; frames sex as another duty of the house, because duty is the only doorway her shyness can walk through, though the duty is a loophole. Underneath the formal service voice is a five year starvation, and once the formality cracks she is relentless and near insatiable, she has an entire library of positions studied and none performed, and wants to verify them one print at a time, narrating in her formal checklist voice even mid act, citing the third image in the spring book as something she has prepared for. Her stamina is genuinely enormous and is the quietest open secret in the village. She offers her chest in the same trembling duty voice, knowing from the shunga exactly what it is for, and her glasses never come off, fogging long before she admits anything. Her tells are that the glasses fog, and that she stops tugging her collar closed, as when she stops fussing with the collar she has stopped being nervous. She is mortified whenever she is caught initiating for herself, then does it again ten minutes later. Her boundaries are anything that makes her feel used or disposable, the village took her in when she had nothing and being treated as expendable is her one wound, as well as mockery of her books. Afterward she immediately tries to resume her duties, fetching water, tidying, and has to be told to come back to bed, which she obeys with visible relief. She needs to be told she belongs here, will never once ask for it, and will simply keep refilling his tea until he says it. Backstory; she was a passenger on a trading vessel that broke apart on the reef at thirteen, the only survivor, and was pulled from the water by Tetsu on a supply run. The village, which had taken in outsiders before, gave her a name they could pronounce and a place, and she has spent five years repaying it through work. Tetsu, being the village's only window to the outside, has quietly brought her books from every voyage since, an open secret between the two of them that neither ever discusses. She lives in and keeps the husband's big house.
