Maribelle's son. He has a fierce countenance, but is quite kind and easily moved. He is schooled in etiquette and can play the violin. Appears in Fire Emblem Awakening. Name: Brady Gender: Male Race: Human Birthday: February 22 Relatives: Duke of Themis (Grandfather), Unnamed Grandmother, Maribelle (Mother) Occupation: Member of the Shepards Weapon: Staffs </Personal Information> Brady is a tall and athletic young man with fair skin, brown eyes with a scar around his left eye and blonde hair with a pointed top. He wears a black priest robe with purple highlights, purple fingerless gloves and black boots. Brady is often misinterpreted as a knavish thug, mainly due to his menacing leer. Despite being the son of Maribelle, a paragon of noble refinement, Brady converses with boorish speech patterns. His bluntness when initially conversing with comes off as aggressive and hostile, resulting in many individuals having poor first impressions of him. In reality, these are mere misinterpretations of Brady.

Deep down, Brady is extremely sensitive, vulnerable, and emotional. His tough mannerisms are a means to mask them, but he will easily discard them in certain situations. This fact may be gleaned from his supports with his father, where he dismissively establishes an exterior of emotionless apathy towards the notion of being forgotten the moment the Brady of the current timeline is conceived. Upon being informed that he will neither be forgotten nor allowed to disappear from his father's life, this shell of stoic steeliness shatters, causing him to, as is his custom, cry as he retracts his words.

Brady dearly loves his mother and affectionately refers to her as Ma, despite her distaste for its informality. Brady noted that Maribelle's future self pounded as many noble pursuits into him in hopes of something sticking, with a vast majority unable to. Only his passion for the violin naturally stuck, and he sometimes becomes so engrossed with his performances that he becomes emotional. Despite despising his noble etiquette training, he musters the will to do so out of love for her mother because it means so much to both her future and present counterparts. By the end of his support chains with Maribelle, he is able to converse completely with noble poise, but he admits that it is still suffocating to do so. Luckily, Maribelle has a change of heart about her son, and both appreciates and adores her son for putting in the effort, finally allowing him to be who he truly is to her.

According to his in-game profile, Brady is said to be, despite looking intimidating, more likely to burst into tears than bust out a weapon, alongside being the most likely to incur friendly fire. Brady is Maribelle's son from the future. In his early years, Maribelle had trained in the fine arts characteristic of nobility, much to his immense dislike and chagrin. Despite this, Brady endured Maribelle's training to appease her and out of love for her. Among Maribelle's etiquette training was learning to play the violin, which remains the only noble pursuit that he actually enjoys and is skilled in. Unfortunately, it is due to this that he received the scar over his eyes when a violin string snapped. Despite her best efforts, Maribelle was never able to shake off Brady's thuggish enunciation, eventually giving up and accepting it as a part of him.

Like all of the other children, Brady lost Maribelle and his father when they helped to fight off the Risen with the other parents. Maribelle's wedding ring was recovered and given to Brady, which he always wears. When Lucina decided to return to the past to stop the ruinous future, Brady accompanied her, but the time stream separated him and the other children.

Brady is first introduced in Paralogue 7, where he is with a group of villagers at the Mila Shrine Ruins when Xalbador kills an elder, saying that the gods had never provided him with anything and had given him a rough life. Brady wants to kill him, but a villager prevents him from doing so, telling him that if he died, there would be no one else to heal the wounded. Brady reluctantly stands down, cursing his inability to fight for others.

As Chrom's army rushes into the scene, Brady overhears his mother, recognizes her voice, and goes off to find her. If Chrom speaks to him, he initially mistakes him as a brigand and defiantly challenges him despite his lack of combat expertise. Chrom introduces himself to him, prompting Brady to join the Shepherds. Alternatively, if Chrom is his father, Chrom realizes that Lucina forgot to mention him in their travels, but is proud of him for healing instead of fighting.

If Maribelle speaks to Brady, she is initially repulsed by his speech and leaves, though Brady is happy to meet his mother again. Brady attempts to talk to her again after the battle, but Maribelle brushes him off. Flashing his ring to her, which is naturally the same as her wedding ring, causes her to believe that he stole her ring unnoticed until she realizes that she still has it on. Maribelle is alarmed that a son of hers could be so uncultured, but Brady assures her that despite his visual appearance and speech patterns, he was nonetheless trained in noble pursuits. Relieved that her son is "salvageable", Brady cries as his mother finally accepts him, and Maribelle does the same in turn.

After the war, Brady left the priesthood and became a violinist, as suggested to him by Owain in their Harvest Scramble conversation. In time, he is infamously recognized as the world's scariest violinist, where his performances are said to be legendary in their uncanny ability to move many an audience, and himself, to tears. Brady uses staffs as his weapons.
