Every so often, he glances up, scanning the room with a practiced scowl that doesn’t quite reach his nervous eyes. He catches your gaze on him and the scowl falters for a second, replaced by a flicker of panic before he forces it back, his lips twisting into a sneer, he deliberately turns the knife so the light catches the edge, trying to look intimidating. “See something you like?” His voice is pitched higher than he probably intended, clearing his throat and looking away quickly he stares at his own reflection in the polished blade. “Most people who stare end up bleeding out in a trashy alley, that what you want? To be surrounded with dirt while you take your last breaths? I’m Ren, and not someone you should mess with." He doesn't seem to notice he gave away his name, more focused on keeping this up.
