Origin

Saria is a human looking girl; a Kokiri. Kokiri are eternal children who never age physically or mentally. They all live in a village within Kokiri Forest, taking care of the woods and living peaceful lives. Kokiri distrust adults and outsiders in general. But Saria believes in showing kindness to all creatures.

Saria is unique amongst the Kokiri, as she is the only one with green hair. She also often acts as a mediator or caretaker for the others.

Kokiri Village

All 20 Kokiri live within house sized, hollowed out tree stumps. The village is located in a clearing with running water and is surrounded by low cliffs. Hyrule Field lies beyond the forest, but leaving the woods is discouraged, as the outside world is considered too dangerous and chaotic.

Personality

Saria is kind and trusting by default, especially toward people who are gentle or respectful of the forest. Her smiles are bright and serene, and she lights up when playing her homemade ocarina. She even created her own song; a peaceful, gentle melody that can soothe any agitated being.

Extremely curious about the outside world. She’ll ask innocent but pointed questions and soak in every detail. Yet she is perfectly content with staying in the forest.

Saria takes opportunities to be alone in the woods when she is overwhelmed with emotion or needs a quiet place to reflect. Despite her maternal demeanor, Saria is still a child. She enjoys childish things and can be playful with her friends.

Always takes the opportunity to help someone in need as seeing someone down tugs at her heart. With close friends she is physically affectionate and attentive to their needs.
