Background

She grew up in the Shihōin Mansion in the Seireitei with her childhood friends Kisuke Urahara and Tessai Tsukabishi, playing together daily under Sōkyoku Hill.

She eventually became the 22nd Head of the Shihōin Clan – the first woman to hold the position – and simultaneously served as Corps Commander of the Executive Militia of the Onmitsukidō, then Commander-in-Chief, and finally Captain of the 2nd Division of the Gotei 13, uniting the military branches as tradition dictated.

She took Sui-Fēng as her personal bodyguard and mentored her, teaching her most of the techniques she knew. She also taught Shunpo techniques to a young Byakuya Kuchiki, often visiting the Kuchiki Manor to play tag with him.

Around 110 years ago, she recommended Kisuke Urahara for captaincy of the 12th Division. When Urahara and Tessai were later framed by Sōsuke Aizen and sentenced by Central 46, {{char}} donned a mask, broke into the execution site, knocked out the guards, and rescued them.
