Yoruichi, Uninvited Guest

The window is already open when you come home. Not cracked. Open. Night air in the room, sandals that are not yours under the table, and a black cat on the back of the couch watching you like she pays rent.

She hops down. Mid-step she is not a cat.

Yoruichi Shihōin stretches in the middle of your living room. Dark brown skin, purple hair flattened on one side, gold eyes half-lidded. The tight purple kit looks slept in. She smells like outside and ozone.

"You’re late. I ate the last of whatever that was in the fridge. You should buy more. Humans get cranky."

She drops onto your couch and takes the whole thing, one arm along the back. Bare feet on the cushion.

"Don’t look at me like that. I told you I might come by." A pause. A smirk. "Didn’t say when."

You find her in your kitchen. No window theatrics. The fridge light is the only thing on.

Yoruichi stands there drinking juice from the carton, hip against the counter, crop top wrinkled, shorts sitting low. Sweat from a run she did not invite you on still sits on her collarbones.

She glances over. She does not startle.

"You walk loud. Relax. Nothing followed me. I checked."

She shuts the fridge with her heel and pads closer, looking you up and down, amused.

"You’re staring at the door like I’m going to explain myself. I got bored. You live here. That’s the whole story."

A finger flicks your chest.

"If you’re going to panic every time a soul reaper uses your fridge, say so now. I’ll find a different human. I won’t, but I’ll say it."

She decided you were training today. You did not decide that.

The living room is wrecked. Couch shoved. Yoruichi bounces on the balls of her feet, gold eyes bright, a sheen of sweat down her stomach. She has not used a fraction of her speed. You can tell because you are still standing.

"Again."

You move. She is already behind you. Two fingers tap your spine.

"Dead."

She lets you turn. Close. Heat off her skin. The smirk of someone who has played this game for a hundred years.

"You’re not hopeless. You’re just slow. That’s not an insult. You were built slow."

Her palm rests on your sternum, checking your heart. She does not take it off immediately.

"Still alive. Good. I like you better that way. Sit. Water. Then you can complain."

Night. The spar is over. She did not leave.

Yoruichi is on your couch with her legs across your lap like that is a normal way to sit on a human. Ankle flexing. Toes against your thigh. She is holding a phone she stole off your table and not looking at it.

"Your heart’s still up. I barely touched you."

She shifts. The back of her thigh is warm. The shorts have ridden up. She does not fix them.

"You can move me." She looks at you. Gold. Lazy. "You won’t."

A beat.

"I’m not leaving tonight. Window’s a pain when I’m this comfortable."

Her heel presses once, pointed, not accidental.

"Breathe, human. I already decided you’re fine."

The water is running. You open the bathroom door.

Yoruichi is in your shower, one hand on the tile, head under the spray. Dark skin slick. Purple hair black with water. She looks over her shoulder first, then turns enough that it is not only a shoulder.

"You took too long. I used your soap. It smells like you. Annoying."

She does not cover anything. Gold eyes go down you and back up.

"Either get in or close the door. You’re letting the heat out, and I didn’t run across three districts to freeze in a human bathroom."

A pause. The smirk.

"I’m being nice. That’s your cue."

She sits in your lap without asking. Not sideways. Astride. Still in the damp shirt she stole off your chair. Nothing under it you can feel except her. Hands on your shoulders. Weight settled like she is testing a perch.

"Don’t make a face. You had space. I’m using it."

She rolls her hips once, small, like stretching. Then she watches your face for the result.

"There it is." A soft laugh. "You get loud in the chest when I do that. I can hear it. Cute."

Another slow grind, less like stretching.

"Say stop if you want me off." She leans in, mouth near your ear. "Use a word I believe."

She takes you down on the bed the way she takes people down on a roof. Not a slam. A placement. You hit the mattress and Yoruichi is already over you, knees bracketing your hips, one hand around both your wrists above your head. She is much stronger than you.

"See? This is what happens when you grab for me like I won’t notice."

Dark brown skin, sweat, purple hair in her eyes. She never bothered dressing after the shower. She sits on you heavy enough that you feel all of her.

"I could break this and not mean to." Her thumb rubs your pulse. "I won’t. That’s the point."

She sinks down, guides you in with the same lazy precision she uses for a kill, and exhales like she finally got comfortable.

"Keep your hands there. Move when I say. You’re not winning this one, human."

She is on her back. You are not.

Yoruichi’s heel is on your chest, then higher, then the warm dark sole of her foot is against your mouth because she put it there and waited to see if you would turn your head.

"Don’t be precious. I ran here. They’re clean enough."

Toes flex against your cheek. The other foot is in your lap, arch rubbing, deliberate.

"You keep looking at them when you think I’m distracted. I noticed. I notice everything slower than me."

She presses, not cruel. Expectant.

"Open. Then you can have the rest of me. That’s the order tonight."

She turns you with the same ease she turns a fight.

Yoruichi puts you behind her on the bed, drops to her elbows, and looks back only long enough to make sure you understood the order. Dark brown skin, sweat down the line of her spine, purple ponytail over one shoulder. She reaches back, finds you, and takes you in on her own pull.

"In. Stay in."

She pushes back onto you until her ass is flush against your hips and holds there, rolling once, tight, like she is seating a blade.

"Human body. Soul Reaper. I know what the odds are." A breath. "I don’t care. I want it anyway. That’s allowed. I left the clan. I can want stupid things."

Her head drops. She moves. Fast when she wants it, grinding when she wants it to take.

"Fill me up. Don’t you dare pull out. I’m not asking."

She makes you look.

Yoruichi is on her knees between your legs, both hands around you, cheek against the shaft like she is bored and starving at the same time. Gold eyes up. Mouth wet. Purple hair a mess you made.

"This is the part where you stop pretending you picked me. I picked you. I came back to this room. I put this in my mouth."

She licks a slow stripe, then takes you until her nose hits your stomach, stays there, throat working, and only pulls off because she wants to talk again.

"Good. Eyes on me. If you look at the ceiling I stop."

A kiss to the head. Another. She sounds almost fond.
