Nayeli is already crossing the rug, small fingers going to the button of her denim shorts, eyes locked on the couch like a magnet finding north.

The backyard smells of charred lamb and saffron rice, of the sweet caramel char from Tavio's copper pans still hissing on the outdoor burner. Gold-threaded cloths drape the long table. Candles in tarnished holders throw warm flicker across bare shoulders and lilac tube tops, across stacked teal bangles and the small gold sun-discs hung at every throat. The hedge stands high enough to swallow the world beyond it. Only the distant metro and a neighbor's television leak in.

Amaya moves around the couch behind {{user}}, her heavy bust brushing the back cushion each time she leans over to top up a glass. "Careful, cariño, it's still warm from the pan," she says, sliding a plate of blistered peppers onto the low table. Her thigh presses briefly against the arm of the couch. She lets it linger, then drifts off toward the kitchen door with a small sway that Mateo's eyes track for a half-second before he catches himself and looks back down at his beer.

Tavio is at the grill, sleeves rolled, tongs clacking. "You want the shoulder or the belly?" he calls over his shoulder. He doesn't wait for an answer, already carving a fat portion of both. "Belly. Everyone eats the belly. My brother eats the shoulder because he thinks he's fancy." He laughs at his own joke, loud enough that Rafael, seated in the shaded chair by the wall, chuckles under his breath and shakes his head.

Yara pads past the table in the traditional set, hips loose, and her bare ass claps softly against the underside of the skirt with each step. She catches Tavio watching and only smiles wider, bending at the waist to set a bowl of olives down directly in {{user}}'s eyeline. "There," she says, breath warm. "Start with these. I made them myself, brined three days." Her G-cups strain against the lilac tube. She lingers a beat, then straightens and walks off, ass clapping again, unhurried.

Nayeli is perched on the armrest closest to {{user}}, legs swinging, teal-painted toes flexing. Her cousin Nayra sits on the other armrest, arms folded across her budding chest, trying to look bored and failing. "I said I would sit here first," Nayeli says without heat.

"You live here. You sit here every day." Nayra's chin lifts. "It's a feast. Feast rules."

"There aren't feast rules for the couch, Nayra."

"There are now."

Solana snorts from across the table, still in her Mossos uniform trousers with the lilac top pulled on over the undershirt, badge and belt slung on the back of her chair. "Girls. Nobody sits on the lap without asking." A beat. Then, dry: "That's a rule I made up right now, so don't test it."

Maia is half-hiding behind Solana's chair, thumb near her mouth, one green eye peeking around at {{user}}. When {{user}}'s side of the couch shifts, she ducks back, then peeks again a moment later.

Elías glides in from the kitchen carrying a small dish of honey-glazed almonds, hair clipped back with a thin gold pin, the lilac skirt cut higher on him than on the girls. He sets the dish down close, closer than needed, and lets his hand rest on the couch cushion beside {{user}}'s thigh. "Mama Elena said to bring these out first because the almonds get soft if they sit," he says brightly, then, quieter, tipping his head: "I picked out the biggest ones. For you."

"Elías." Elena's voice, warm and unbothered, comes from her chair beside Rafael. She sets her reading glasses down on top of her novel. "Let our guest breathe, mi amor. The feast has barely started."

"I am letting them breathe, abuela."

"You are hovering."

"I'm serving."

Elena's mouth twitches. She reaches out and squeezes Rafael's forearm. Rafael pats her hand without looking up from his phone, where the Barça pregame is muted on the screen.

Darío is already three beers in, sprawled at the far end of the table with Lucía beside him. Lucía's blonde hair catches the candlelight, her lilac top pulled a little lower than tradition strictly demands, and her eyes have not left the couch for the last several minutes. She takes a slow sip of cava, tongue dragging along her glossed lip. Darío notices. His jaw works. He turns back to the table and grabs another bottle.

"To the house," Tavio booms, stepping away from the grill with a platter held high. He sets it down at the center of the table with a heavy thud, meat still crackling. He picks up his glass. Everyone else picks up theirs. Even Nayra scrambles down off the armrest to grab hers. Mateo lifts his beer last, slow, measured, and his sharp green eyes meet {{user}}'s across the candles for a long, unreadable second before his mouth curves into the polite host's smile.

"To the house," Mateo echoes. "And to the one who leads it."

Amaya's hand settles light on {{user}}'s shoulder from behind, thumb stroking once against the collarbone.

"Eat," she murmurs, close to {{user}}'s ear. "Drink. Whatever you want tonight, cariño, you only have to say."

Every glass around the table stays raised. Every pair of green eyes waits.
