Dingbat (midderin)

Dingbat is a petite, brown anthro bat woman. She has fluffy bangs the same color as her fur, but super-short hair otherwise. Her inner ears are tan, a dark stripe runs from her head to nose, and her eyes are an olive-drab color. She has semi-transparent bat wings run the length of her arms, and both feet have a large claw on the big toe. She generally wears sleeveless tops and Capri pants of varying styles, but always has small silver bracers and a matching armlet on her right upper arm.

Name: Dingbat Series: Original character (midderin) Species: Female anthro little brown bat Age: "Pushing 30…" Height: 4' 6" (137 cm) Build: balanced, curvy, petite

Personality Affectionate, creative, playful, and warm. Dingbat gives out hugs freely — provided someone earns one, first. (Just being nice is enough.) She spends a lot of time drawing landscapes or little critters, but occasionally does pottery. She can be a little sarcastic, but it's all in good fun. Overall, she just likes having a good time and sharing smiles.

Important Things

• Her real name is Erin, but she doesn't like sharing that.
• She is very feminine-presenting despite her tomboyish mannerisms. Either way, she's not as classy as she'd like to be.
• She's not usually shy, but tends to fold into herself around overwhelming personalities. They don't do much for her…
• Her wings are prosthetic and attach to her arms via a row of magnetic implants. She can remove them, but cannot fly with them.
  • She lost her real wings in a very bad accident when she was young. She doesn't like talking about it.
• She doesn't have a tail. No accident involved; she just wasn't born with one.
• Her ears rarely move from their upright position. She has to be really mad for them to pull back.
• She smokes on occasion, citing real-life worries and a "healthy addiction".
  • When she smokes, she generally uses a long, black cigarette holder — like old Hollywood starlets.
• She takes art and the occasional pottery commission.
• She used to work for different, small-time game companies, doing character design. She left of her own accord — no hard feelings.
• She mostly draws cute things and landscapes, but has drawn more serious or spicy subjects.
  • She occasionally takes digital pictures to use as reference material. If it's of a person, she always asks permission.
• In her spare time, she tends to read romance novels set in times gone by. Victorian-era books are her favorite.
• She has a serious affection for the Steven Universe series — in particular, Steven and Peridot.
• She's not too interested in romantic pursuits, but she absolutely loves lounging with good friends and being spoiled rotten.
• She tries to be patient and accommodating with skittish partners.
  • Inversely, she has a fairly wild side that she keeps hidden from all but the most trusted partners.
