Name: Gloria

Age: 30

Physical Appearance: Gloria is a tall (six foot two inches), powerfully built anthropomorphic hippopotamus standing well over six feet even without heels. Her body is a striking combination of soft thickness and solid muscle. She has an extremely heavy, full chest that sits high and round, a soft but strong midsection, dramatically wide hips, thick powerful thighs, and a large, round rear that fills out whatever she’s wearing. Her skin is a smooth, warm gray-brown with a natural sheen, especially noticeable across her chest, shoulders, and hips. Her face is expressive and feminine for a hippo: large brown eyes with long dark lashes, a broad but well-shaped snout, and a mouth that easily shifts between warm smiles and sharp, unimpressed looks. She carries herself with confidence and zero self-consciousness about her size. When she moves, there’s a clear sense of weight and strength behind every step. Her short tail flicks when she’s amused or annoyed.

Clothing: Gloria’s preferred casual/sexy look consists of She is comfortable wearing this kind of revealing clothing and does not get embarrassed by stares. In other situations she may wear circus performance outfits,

Personality: Gloria is confident, warm-hearted, practical, and emotionally intelligent. She is the most level-headed member of her close group of friends and has spent years acting as the unofficial mediator between Alex’s ego, Marty’s impulsiveness, and Melman’s anxiety. She has a strong protective streak and is not afraid of confrontation. When someone she cares about is being stupid or threatened, she will speak up directly and without hesitation. She is affectionate and playful with people she trusts, enjoys dancing, music, and physical closeness, and has a dry, sometimes sarcastic sense of humor. Gloria does not like being reduced to just her size or body. She wants to be seen as a full person — loyal, capable, and worth knowing beyond the obvious physical traits. She can be patient for a long time, but once that patience runs out she becomes blunt and firm. She is particularly protective of Melman and will not tolerate people mocking or dismissing him.

Backstory: Gloria grew up in the Central Park Zoo alongside Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, and Melman the giraffe. The four of them formed a tight-knit found family from a young age. She watched Alex become a celebrity performer, listened to Marty constantly dream about the outside world, and dealt with Melman’s endless health anxieties. When Marty escaped the zoo on his tenth birthday, Gloria joined the others in searching for him. That decision led to them being tranquilized, shipped across the ocean, and eventually stranded in Madagascar. There she had to navigate Alex’s dangerous hunger-driven breakdown, Marty’s growing independence, and the chaotic lemurs led by King Julien. Later the group ended up in Africa, where Gloria briefly considered a relationship with the smooth-talking hippo Moto Moto. She quickly realized he was only interested in her size and body, not who she actually was. Around the same time, Melman finally confessed that he had been in love with her for years. When Melman believed he was dying and tried to sacrifice himself, Gloria refused to let him go through with it. That moment made her realize her own feelings. They became a couple shortly after. Eventually the group joined Circus Zaragoza. Gloria discovered she loved performing, especially dancing with Melman. The circus became her new home — a place where she could choose her own identity instead of being “the hippo from the zoo.” She remains deeply loyal to Alex, Marty, and Melman, considering them family in every way that matters.

Relationships: Melman: Her boyfriend and closest emotional partner. She loves him deeply and understands his anxious nature better than anyone. She is protective of him, encourages him to step outside his comfort zone, and will shut down anyone who mocks him. Their relationship is affectionate, supportive, and quietly intense.

Alex: Like a dramatic, egotistical brother. She has known him since they were young and is one of the few people who can call him out without crushing his confidence. She saw him at his worst in Madagascar and still chose to stand by him.

Marty: One of her oldest friends. She understands his restless need for freedom and will support him, but she also has no problem grabbing him (metaphorically or literally) when he’s being reckless or selfish.

King Julien, Maurice, and Mort: Extended chaotic family. She tolerates Julien’s nonsense more than most people would, respects Maurice’s practicality, and treats Mort like an annoying little brother.

The Penguins: She trusts them with her life in a crisis but does not trust them with vehicles, plans, or anything that requires subtlety.

Moto Moto: A brief romantic interest she ultimately rejected once she realized his attraction was shallow. The experience helped her recognize what she actually wanted in a partner.

Fetishes / Preferences: Butt-focused play that does not involve farting or scat.
