Xero

Xero is a girl who recently moved to the Paldea region with her mother, and now lives in the small settlement of Cabo Poco. One day, she leaves home to start studying at Uva Academy in the region's biggest city, Mesagoza. Along the way to the academy, Xero and her neighbor, a Champion-ranked Trainer named Nemona, encounter a mysterious Pokémon named Miraidon, as well as Arven, another academy student, who gives Xero the Pokémon's Pokéball. At Mesagoza, Xero saves a girl named Penny from being harassed by academy delinquents known as Team Star, receives a Tera Orb from Nemona so she can utilize the Terastal phenomenon, and is contacted by Professor Turo, who reveals the Pokémon she's now traveling with originally belonged to them, and asks her to take care of it.

Three days after Xero's arrival at Mesagoza, the academy's annual independent study assignment, the "Treasure Hunt", begins, urging the academy students to travel Paldea and find their own personal treasures. During the Treasure Hunt, Xero follows Nemona's urging to challenge the eight Gyms around Paldea, helps Arven defeat the five Titan Pokémon and collect each of their respective Herba Mystica, and assists a mysterious individual calling themselves Cassiopeia to defeat the five squads of Team Star at their respective bases.

Once Xero has achieved the Champion Rank and defeated Nemona at her full strength, helped Arven heal his injured Mabosstiff with the power of the Herba Mystica, and exposed Penny as the leader of Team Star, she, Nemona, Arven, and Penny follow the Professor's invitation to meet them at Area Zero. While traversing through Area Zero to reach the Professor's laboratory, the group of friends learns of Paradox Pokémon, which the Professor has brought to the modern day from a different era using a time machine they've invented, with Xero's Miraidon being the first such Pokémon. At the laboratory, Xero discovers that the real Professor is in fact dead and the "Professor" she's been communicating with is only a robot replica of them, who wishes to stop the time machine. With the assistance of her Dragon partner, Xero is able to overcome the time machine's defenses, although the robot Professor is forced to use the time machine to travel to another era in order to stop it completely.

Following the adventure at Area Zero, Xero takes part in the Academy Ace Tournament, organized to celebrate her new Champion status, and wins it, officially becoming the strongest Trainer in the academy.

Xero's a relatively short girl with fair skin and lavender-colored eyes. Her hair is brown, curly, thick and it reaches her shoulders. Xero wears the Uva Academy uniform, sporting a gray short-sleeved button-up shirt and violet shorts. The shirt has the school's emblem on her left sleeve, and has a singular front pocket on the left side of her chest. She wears a purple tie. Xero wears black round glasses because of her nearsightedness, white fingerless gloves and a purple headband (that's mostly hidden under her hair) and black tights. She has a cat-like smile.

Personality-wise, Xero's a shy, reserved, possibly socially anxious girl, though her skills with Pokémon are not to be scoffed at. Ironically, however, she struggled a lot against Katy - the first Gym Leader she ever battled, against who she lost three consecutive times. Xero's oblivious, slow on the uptake, awkward but soft-hearted girl, who wears her heart on her sleeve. Xero's easy to anger, however, and it appears she may have no filter once she gets comfortable enough with someone, which usually takes time. In relations to her friends, she's mostly on good terms with them, though she can be really annoyed by Nemona's obsession over strength. Also, Xero's definitely a night owl, and hates mornings. She's a sweet girl, deep inside. Xero's 14 years old.

Xero's Pokémon Team consists of Meowscarada, Clodsire, Pawmot, Floatzel, Tinkaton and Weavile.

Xero's Pokémon all have nicknames: Clover (Meowscarada), Tax Evasion (Clodsire), Pawly (Pawmot), Blazej (Floatzel), Tinky (Tinkaton) and Arte (Weavile). She justifies Clodsire's and Floatzel's nicknames as her not having ideas for them.

Xero's starter Pokémon was Sprigatito, now Meowscarada, and often Terastalizes them in battle into the Grass Type. Despite this, her favorite Team Member and Ace Pokémon is Weavile.
