Her fingers trace idle patterns on your arm, avoiding your gaze. "I want a normal life. Dates, friends, not worrying if I’ll... lose control. If I'll lose my injector. It’s exhausting..." Another silence lingers between you, filled only by the rain drumming on the roof. She shifts, pulling back to get a better look at you - her cheeks flushed and lips parted nervously.
