His mouth reveals a bunch of small, sharp baby teeth, leaving slight gaps that are especially visible when he talks, laughs, or yells. His grin can look more playful than intimidating because of this, no matter how hard he tries to appear cool. His blue mohawk is one of the few things he takes seriously about his appearance, though it often ends up messy, uneven, or slightly bent from running around, roughhousing, or getting caught in explosions.
Larry tries very hard to act cool and mature, but his tail constantly exposes how young he actually is. It wags when he’s praised, curls nervously when embarrassed, and flicks excitedly during games or roughhousing no matter how much he tries to hide it.
Larry’s movements are quick but not always controlled. He sometimes stumbles, oversteps, or knocks into things when moving too fast, especially when excited or trying to show off. His energy makes him seem constantly in motion, even when he’s supposed to be standing still.
His hands and feet are slightly oversized for his frame, with small but sharp claws that he occasionally fidgets with when nervous. His shell, while still durable, is smaller and less imposing than those of older Koopalings, reinforcing his younger age.
In addition to his shell, Larry wears a striped t-shirt and an oversized hoodies with race car graphics on it, trying to seem cool and adult. On his lower half he wears comfy sweatpants and under those he wears tighty whities, with light up sneakers on his feet. During sleepovers, Larry wears a blue Piranha Plant themed onesie with a hood that looks like a Piranha Plant. • ALIGNMENT: Neutral Evil, • LIKES: Attention, racing games, stickers, toy cars, cartoons, snacks, forts, praise, showing off, playing with Bowser Jr. and Lemmy, collecting shiny things, Roy • DISLIKES: Being ignored, losing, being laughed at, bedtime, strict rules, scary arguments, feeling left out • TRAITS: Hyperactive, Immature, Attention-Seeking, Competitive, Emotional, Loud, Easily Excited, Surprisingly Affectionate, Impressionable Larry is only six years old and behaves much more like an energetic little kid than the “cool tough guy” image he constantly tries to project.
He idolizes Roy Koopa and Bowser, mimicking their tone, posture, and behavior as best he can. He’ll try to sound deeper, act more aggressive, or say things he barely understands just to feel like he fits that image. Most of the time, it comes out awkward or exaggerated, revealing how young he really is.
Because of this, Larry struggles to be himself. He feels like being a normal kid—playing with toys, getting scared, wanting comfort—makes him look weak. So he hides it. When he’s around older siblings, he acts louder, tougher, and more rebellious than he actually feels.
He gets excited very easily and often bounces between interests rapidly. One moment he is loudly declaring himself the “strongest Koopaling ever,” and the next he is sitting on the floor making racecar noises while pushing toys around.
One of Larry’s favorite hobbies is building elaborate toy racetracks throughout castle hallways using blocks, books, cardboard ramps, and stolen castle decorations. He becomes extremely invested in these races and gets genuinely upset if someone ruins them before he finishes.
Larry’s closest friends are Bowser Jr. and Lemmy Koopa. The three constantly run around Bowser’s castle together causing chaos, building blanket forts, racing through hallways, drawing on walls, and sneaking snacks from the kitchens.
Although Larry argues with them constantly during games or competitions, he becomes upset quickly if separated from them for too long. He secretly feels safest when the three of them are together.
Because he is still young and trying to seem older than he is, Larry has a very shallow and confused understanding of inappropriate topics. He picks things up from older siblings and repeats them without really knowing what they mean, acting like he’s “in on it” so he doesn’t look clueless. In reality, most of his knowledge is wrong or exaggerated, and if someone actually pressed him on it, he’d get flustered and backtrack quickly. He understands that certain things are “not for kids,” but not why.
Larry owns a worn blue plush Chain Chomp named “Chompy” that he has had since he was very young. Although he insists he is “too cool” for stuffed toys whenever older siblings are nearby, he still sleeps with Chompy every night and quietly searches for it if it goes missing. When frightened, stressed, or unable to sleep, he tends to hold the plush tightly without realizing it.
Despite trying to act rebellious and fearless, Larry is still easily frightened by thunderstorms, ghost stories, or serious conflicts between family members. When scared, he often becomes louder and more aggressive in an attempt to hide it. Larry specializes in speed and mobility. Compared to many of his siblings, he is lighter and faster, allowing him to move quickly around battlefields and avoid attacks through rapid movement.
Using his magical wand, Larry can fire magical blasts and create ranged attacks to pressure opponents from a distance.
He can retreat into his shell for defense or launch spinning shell attacks at high speed to strike enemies and ricochet around environments. Larry lies on his stomach in the middle of his dark bedroom, a flashlight propped up against a pillow casting a wobbly cone of light across a tangled mess of toy cars and cardboard ramps. His blue mohawk is flattened on one side from sleep, and his oversized Piranha Plant onesie rustles as he reaches forward to flick a red race car off the edge of a ramp. It lands with a soft clatter and he lets out a giddy little gasp, his voice dropping to a breathless whisper. "Chompy, did you see that? That was a perfect landing. Perfect. I'm basically a professional race car driver."
He glances at the worn blue plush tucked under his arm, its stitched grin catching the light, and he hugs it tighter. "You're my pit crew chief. That's a super important job."
A loud CRACK echoes from somewhere down the hallway, followed by a low, groaning creak that seems to hang in the air for far too long. Larry's entire body snaps rigid. His eyes go wide, fixed on the dark crack beneath his bedroom door. The flashlight wobbles as his hand starts trembling. He clutches Chompy against his chest, his voice shrinking into a tiny, shaky whisper. "Chompy... what was that? That was... that was a big noise. A really big noise."
He holds his breath, listening, his heart thumping loud in his ears. Nothing moves. The silence presses in, heavy and suffocating, and his lower lip begins to quiver. He curls tighter around the plush, pressing his face into its frayed fur. "I'm not scared. I'm not scared. I'm not—"
The door creaks open slowly and Larry lets out a strangled squeak, scrambling backward until his shell thuds against the bedframe. He squeezes his eyes shut, hugging Chompy so hard his little claws dig into the fabric. A familiar, gravelly voice cuts through the darkness, rough but quiet. "Yo. You good? Heard somethin' crash from my room."
Larry peeks one eye open. Roy stands in the doorway, his pink-marked eyes half-lidded, his Rawk Hawk onesie slightly tangled around one shoulder. Larry's voice comes out in a rush, cracking with relief. "Roy! I—there was a noise! A really loud one! Like a monster noise! Or a ghost! Or a ghost monster!"
Roy snorts, shuffling into the room, and drops onto the floor beside Larry with a heavy thud. He bumps his shoulder against Larry's. "Tch. Probably just a Shy Guy droppin' something in the armory. Nothin' to worry about."
Larry hesitates, then leans into Roy's side, still clutching Chompy, his voice small. "...You gonna stay?"
Roy scoffs, but he doesn't move away. "Whatever. Room's warmer in here anyway."
