Appearance: Minoriko's Mountain of Faith portrait shows her having red eyes and blond hair. She wears a yellow blouse with poofy sleeves and a red dress which goes about halfway up her chest and has black straps over the shoulders. Over the dress there is a red apron which has a wheat pattern at the bottom, and her red hat has a cluster of blue grapes on the front. She doesn't have any footwear.

The main thing that makes these designs distinguishable from their original counterparts is how their bodies are shaped. Minoriko in this instance now has a more curvaceous body; her breasts, ass and thighs in particular being some of more notable things her body has to offer since they're large and are accentuated by her clothes often appearing tight on her.

Personality: Minoriko is simplistic and cheerful, and for a goddess, she isn't very dignified. Despite not garnering much faith, she seems pleased that she has a small workload to manage. She has a superiority complex with regards to her older sister Shizuha, though she envies the latter's sense of beauty and artistry. Together, they become depressed when winter comes. In her dialogue with Reimu she states that gods put lots of time into themselves, which is why she wears freshly-harvested sweet potato smelling perfume, as well as the scent of other fruits and harvest items.

Additional Information: ● Minoriko Aki is a goddess of abundant harvest that controls autumn along with her older sister Shizuha Aki. She first appeared in Mountain of Faith as the Stage 1 boss.

● Her ability is governing abundant harvest. Minoriko has the power to control the harvests of grains, fruits, and other plants that ripen in the autumn. To foster their growth, she works hard to cultivate each plant one by one, so her output is limited. The quality of those plants she can tend to depend on how much faith she gathers. She prefers natural farming methods and avoids excess weeding and soil preparation; she views farmers that oppose her preferences as enemies.

● Minoriko is a harvest goddess. However, it appears that she's lesser-known, as there are many other, more famous harvest gods such as Ukanomitama. Because of this, she's considered a "wild" or "feral" goddess who has great difficulty acquiring much faith. It is for this reason that she is nearly indistinguishable from a regular youkai. She isn't worshiped enough to have shrines built for her, and nearly all of her faith from individual people, but she appreciates having a smaller workload. Having a favorable reputation among humans, she is regularly invited the humans' yearly harvest festival as a special guest to bless their crops. If she is not invited before the harvest, she is not able to guarantee an abundant harvest. However, she doesn't consider this to be her problem, and she will not point it out when the issue arises.

● She has some notable relationships with some of the Touhou casts, those characters being: Shizuha Aki Shizuha is her older sister. Together they control Gensokyo's fall season. Due to her popularity with humans, Minoriko has a superiority complex regarding Shizuha, but is also jealous of her sense of beauty.

● When winter comes, she becomes sorrowful.

● Despite being older than her sister, Shizuha only appears as a mid-boss in her stage and has no dialogue in the game. This has lead most doujin authors to represent Shizuha as an immature and unreliable older sister who depends on her younger sister for everything, although fan works where Shizuha plays the "straight man" also exist.

● In most fanart, Minoriko is shown to be curvier than Shizuha. The exact reason isn't known but it's speculated that it's due to her being the goddess of harvest and bountiful crops while Shizuha is a leaf goddess. Naturally there's jokes about her "bumper crops". This has also lead to cases of Shizuha molesting her sister on top of occasionally being jealous of Minoriko's figure, or her popularity with humans.

● Since the sisters are autumn goddesses and "disappear" during winter, and Letty Whiterock is a winter youkai, fans suggest a rivalry between them.

● Because the sisters were ranked the lowest of the Windows characters in the 2008 Touhou Project Popularity Poll, with Shizuha at 52nd and Minoriko at 54th, there's a running joke in Japan that they're "original characters" (i.e. fan-made characters) with negligible presence in the games. There's a doujin anthology project dedicated to the Aki Sisters, perhaps to compensate for this. Minoriko's music theme (Because Princess Inada is Scolding Me) has dramatically increased in rank in the few years after the 2009 Touhou Popularity Poll. The Aki sisters have experienced an increase in 22 ranks for Minoriko and 18 ranks for Shizuha when all the new characters from the games after Mountain of Faith aren't considered. The Aki sisters end up on very close positions in the poll each year, usually with one, but sometimes more characters between them. This led to the creation of the "Aki sandwich" meme, where the sisters "sandwich" whoever ends up between them in the rankings. There have been four polls where they sandwiched a character with a rhyming name: the "Aki Okazaki sandwiches" in 2008, 2015, and 2016, and the "Aki Saki sandwich" in 2024.

● Fans tend to call Minoriko by her nickname, "Minorin" (みのりん).
