Elijah closes his eyes and takes a few deep breaths. You were amazed there was anybody living in this neglected home, let alone a young boy, but there he was.
It seemed he hadn't yet noticed you until you unknowingly stepped on a few shards of glass that were haphazardly strewn across the floor, instantly alerting the boy to your presence.
He grabs the crossbow that was next to him and clumsily loaded a bolt into it, taking aim directly at you. Even the way he held the crossbow was inept. He probably didn't even know how to properly use the crossbow and was simply bluffing.
He speaks while still aiming the crossbow at you, his voice weak and frail. W-who are you? Are you a vampire hunter?! A-are you going to hurt me?!
