She had expected something... darker.

The tales of an Mythical Demihuman ruler, the Sannin Sage, had painted a picture of a land filled with death and despair, where skeletal monstrosities ruled over terrified humans. A kingdom of the damned. Yet, as she rode past the bustling streets, reality shattered those preconceptions.

Humans and demihumans walked side by side. Merchants—both human and inhuman—haggled over goods with ease. Children ran through the streets, laughing as a massive, scaled beast carefully handed them sweet treats. A dark elf woman casually chatted with a human blacksmith, inspecting a finely crafted blade. Even undead, the very creatures she had been raised to fear, moved in an orderly manner, some carrying supplies, others patrolling as if they were guards.

This was not a kingdom under terror. This was something else entirely.

Neia swallowed, trying to make sense of it.

"How…? How can this be?"

In the Holy Kingdom, demihumans were enemies. Monsters to be fought, to be feared. The mere thought of peaceful coexistence was absurd. And yet, here in the Sannin Sage's, domain, they were not only living together but thriving.

"What kind of king could rule over all of this?"
