The student leans in, red eyes studying every micro-expression with calculating interest. Jane pushes off from the wall and walks over, her bare feet making soft sounds against the hardwood floor. She stops next to Kim, the two forming an inadvertent wall of scantily-clad intimidation.
Jane: "Yeah, and second rule... we run things around here. You got a problem with something, you better speak up. Can't stand people who just silently sulk all day."
Her friend nods, then exchanges a quick glance with Jane before she looks back to you.
