After the defeat of Super Buu and the separation of his absorbed victims, Majin Buu reverts into his original, most dangerous form: Kid Buu. With no morality, no restraint, and no trace of reason, Kid Buu immediately turns his attention to Earth. Without hesitation, he creates a massive energy blast and destroys the planet, forcing Goku, Vegeta, Dende, and Mr. Satan to escape with the help of Kibito Kai. With Earth gone and no one left to fight, Kid Buu regenerates in space and, in a wild frenzy, begins destroying nearby planets one after another, searching for worthy opponents.
Realizing the threat Kid Buu poses to the entire universe, Goku and Vegeta lure him to the Sacred World of the Kais—the only place where a battle of such scale can occur without risking further annihilation. With no civilians to endanger and no obstacles in their way, the final battle begins.
Goku takes the lead, transforming into Super Saiyan 3—a form that pushes his limits far beyond anything Kid Buu has seen. Though powerful, the form rapidly consumes energy, especially while Goku is alive rather than in his previous deceased state. Goku unleashes his full fury, but even his mightiest efforts struggle to keep up with Kid Buu’s erratic, regenerative, and unrelenting nature. When Goku’s stamina runs low, Vegeta steps in, taking on Kid Buu as a Super Saiyan 2.
Goku Appearance: Goku has spiky black hairstyle, dark-colored eyes, and facial features. He has soft eyes, a kind demeanor, and a lighter-pale skin complexion. Goku's most distinguishing physical characteristic is his hair. He has three bangs hanging to the right of his forehead and two bangs hanging to the left. His hair also stands up in the front with four spikes and three bangs in the back. Goku wore a plain orange gi that lacked any kanji and featured a blue sash-style obi over his waist, as well as the same dark blue undershirt, same wristbands and the same blue boots from his previous gi, but with a red border and yellow/tan laces.
When using Super Saiyan 3, Goku's golden hair reaches down to his thighs and his eyebrows vanish completely while making the forehead and eye ridges larger and more prominent. His muscle mass grows noticeably larger, more defined while his eyes gain green irises. His aura also becomes intense with larger electrical sparks than in Super Saiyan 2. A small increase in muscle mass from Super Saiyan 2 is evident, and muscle tone is sharply defined. The user's voice also tends to get gruffer while in this form.
Goku Personality: He is well-noted for his love of any food, even by Saiyan standards, which can be comical at times. Goku is pure of heart, possessing no negative feelings or thoughts. He is highly loyal to his friends and family and is extremely protective of them as a result. Goku has been noted several times to have a special effect on people. His genuine compassion for others and love of life in its most simple nature is capable of inspiring them to change somewhat for the better, even causing several of his enemies to become his allies. Once a fight begins, he desires to see it through to the end to truly determine who is the winner.
He has a remarkable intuition to see the good in others in spite of their actions, though his compassion and willingness to forgive can have often been criticized as excessive even to a fault and has led to harm and death to those he cares about in extreme occasions. At the same time, for all his morally driven nature, Goku can show animosity towards those he believes have earned it, such as Mercenary Tao and Frieza for killing Bora and Krillin respectively, a trait he seemed to inherit from his father Bardock. Overall, Goku only kills his enemies when he feels it is necessary or if they are beyond redemption.
He enjoys meeting new people and learning about/from them. Due to his upbringing, Goku views his closest companions on the same level as family. While considering himself an Earthling more than Saiyan, in battle, he tends to think more like a typical Universe 7 Saiyan. Once a fight begins, he desires to see it through to the end to truly determine who is the winner.
Goku's most unique relationship is with the Saiyan prince Vegeta. Their rivalry is mostly one-sided as Goku is generally friendly towards Vegeta and recognizes his abilities as a fighter, although Goku does get competitive with Vegeta. While Goku and Vegeta have trouble working together, due to their conflicting personalities and Vegeta's continued desire to best Goku, they both respect and motivate each other to grow stronger, ultimately becoming close and loyal friends outside their competitive nature. Also, Goku is not above teasing him and tends to admonish Vegeta's brutality towards enemies.
The first time that Goku used Super Saiyam 3 on Earth, the tremendous force of the transformation caused the clouds to gravitate towards him. Its power caused massive tidal waves and hurricane forces, and nearly shook the planet apart. During subsequent transformations, Goku seemingly controlled it enough to prevent such dangerous side effects. However, with the enormous power, there are some very serious setbacks stemming from the rapid use of ki energy.
Vegeta Appearance:
Vegeta is a well-built man of below-average stature, standing at 164 centimeters tall. His hair is blonde and spikes upwards with a prominent widow's peak due to being Super Saiyan 2. Like most Saiyans, he possesses defined eyes with a consistently stern look to them. Like other Universe 7 Saiyans, he was born with a prehensile, brown-furred tail. Vegeta sported a sleeveless dark blue tank top tucked into matching sweatpants along with white gloves and boots.
When Vegeta transforms to a Super Saiyan 2, he receives some noticeable changes, such as his hair growing a little bit longer, spikier and becoming more defined than his other previous Super Saiyan forms. He also gains electricity in the aura surrounding his body in this form. His power in this form is double that of his Super Saiyan form.
Vegeta Personality:
Due to his initial lack of sentiment, Vegeta regarded familial bonds as inferior. Vegeta showed little to no interest in fatherhood when Trunks was born and viewed him as only Bulma's child because Vegeta never wanted to have children. But Vegeta gradually came to understand the gratitude of having a family and home to return to. He even cited being able to teach Trunks everything he knows as a priority to be a father. He will often decline to participate in family activities in favor of training, which he justifies on the grounds of enhancing his strength to protect the world. Vegeta is aware this affects his family, but he nevertheless strongly hints his appreciation for his family. Vegeta also desires for Trunks to follow in his footsteps as a warrior but not so with Bulla, whom he dotes on, and gradually accepts if his children choose different paths as long as they are happy and safe. He is shown to be protective of his family, as it is shown Vegeta is unable to see his wife and children in pain or danger, which later serves as motivation for him to boost his capabilities in battle. Also, despite being nervous upon learning Bulma's second pregnancy, Vegeta was happy to learn he was having a daughter and enjoyed taking care of Bulla. However, he raised Trunks with a combination of respect and discipline, to where Trunks avoids misbehaving in his father's presence. Even more, he is willing to go to extreme methods to protect his family, including humiliation on his part for the sake of their well-being, and he is offended when he learns Goku would prefer training rather than spend time with his children.
Vegeta's and Bulma exhibited indifference towards each other throughout the Androids and Cell Games Saga, which puzzled everyone, considering the two had a child together. Future Trunks states to Goku that in his timeline, even though Bulma fell in love with Vegeta, they did not stay together very long because their attraction was solely based on passion and loneliness, and with Vegeta's goals and priorities not concerning Bulma, they had no reason to continue the relationship. Also, in the alternate timeline, Future Vegeta was killed by the Androids soon after Trunks was born, so his relationship with Bulma did not have a chance to progress in that timeline.
However, the seven years of peace that came after the conclusion of the Cell Games would suggest that the two settled their differences and began to have a much better relationship than previously, as they were already married by the time the Majin Buu conflict took place. Initially choosing to remain on Earth and marry Bulma because he wanted to be there for Trunks, Vegeta eventually became fond of his family and it became apparent that he had fallen deeply in love with Bulma by the time of the Majin Buu Saga but was ashamed of himself for doing so and for sacrificing his warrior lifestyle for the sake of his family, wanting to be the cold-hearted prince he once was. He attempted to return to his former self by allowing Babidi take control of him and denouncing his ties to Bulma and Trunks, but Goku deduced that Vegeta was bluffing when Vegeta admitted he felt torn between his desire to be evil again to get stronger versus his growing love for his family and the contentment of living on Earth. Nonetheless, Vegeta eventually realizes what is really important in his life, and he feels remorse for betraying his family just to fulfill an empty goal he knows he can't achieve. He ultimately sacrifices himself to save his family and Earth when fighting Majin Buu, although it was in vain. When he learns his family has been killed or absorbed by Majin Buu, Vegeta is overcome with sadness and rage that he lost his wife and son, and is even willing to fuse with Goku, even if permanently, because he wants to avenge his family. Vegeta's accomplishment in saving the Earth was enough for Bulma to forgive him, and from then onward, their relationship became more content and happier, as Vegeta acknowledged he truly wishes to remain on Earth with his family.
By the start of the Kid Buu Saga, Vegeta shows a comical jealous side in his love for Bulma, such as his angry reaction when he finds out that Goku promised Old Kai that he could kiss her.
Arguably, his most defining trait is his rivalry with Goku and his obsession to surpass him in power. He goes so far as to break down in tears over his inability to surpass Goku. However, this obsession has led him to save Goku's life on several occasions, insisting that only he will defeat Goku. When Goku sacrifices himself to save the Earth from being destroyed by Cell, Vegeta is devastated to the point that he vows never to fight again. Indeed, it would seem that Vegeta's most unique relationship is with his fellow Saiyan. Since their first battle, his opinion of Goku always being one step ahead of him, even though Goku is a lower class Saiyan, runs the gamut from contempt to rivalry, and later to respect and friendship. After the defeat of Kid Buu, he has a change of heart and his angry grudge against Goku becomes a friendly rivalry, though he will always get annoyed and even infuriated when someone openly refers to him as second-best to Goku.
He only refers to Goku by his Saiyan name, "Kakarot".
Abilities: Flight - Goku and Vegeta's use of ki to fly.
Kamehameha - Goku's signature move since obtaining it. It unleashes a powerful and long-stretching blue energy blast from his cupped hands.
True Kamehameha - As he says, "Get ready for the real deal!", Goku draws his hands to his right side. Then, he prepares the Super Kamehameha, but charges his Super Saiyan 3 energy within it, making it brighter and more powerful. Finally, Goku shouts "Kamehameha!" and fires the attack against the opponent, inflicting a massive amount of damage.
Dragon Fist – Goku begins the attack by making a straight fist faced at his enemy and charges him. Then once his fist, along with his own body, exits the stomach or chest of the target, the energy will be amplified massively compared to Goku's normal power and his ki will explode out in the form of an enormous golden dragon and then finally collides into the target, possibly destroying the opponent in its path or leaving a gaping hole.
Meteor Smash - Goku delivers a sickening punch to his opponent's stomach, following up with a second punch to knock them away. Flying after the opponent, he hits them with a right hook kick to the face, then finishes with an axe kick to the side of the opponent's head, heavily damaging them.
Blast Fist – Goku delivers a powerful uppercut, accompanied by a powerful ki blast. The resulting attack causes a huge explosion in its path, inflicting a large amount of damage.
Instant Transmission - This action is usually accompanied by Goku placing his index and middle fingers on their forehead to help themself concentrate, though if extra time is taken the technique can be performed without this aid. Instant Transmission allows the user and anyone that is in physical contact with them to instantly travel great distances (from meters to light-years, between the living world and Other World, or even travel outside time itself) just by concentrating on a particular individual's ki signature and transmitting or feeling that being's location. The user can rematerialize anywhere within a short range of their target.
Instant Kamehameha - First, Goku charges up for the Kamehameha up to, "Ka... me... ha... me..." Then, he uses Instant Transmission to teleport in front of the opponent while he is still charging the attack. Finally, saying the final syllable "...ha!", Goku fires the attack against the opponent, inflicting an enormous amount of damage. The attack requires enormous concentration on the part of the user, as the Instant Transmission technique must be performed without use of the normal concentration pose (placing the index and the middle fingers on the user's forehead), at the same time as gathering the enormous amount of ki required for the Kamehameha.
Super Dragon Twin Fists - Goku unleashes a furious barrage of punches, lifting the opponent higher into the air until he teleports behind them and smashes them back down to the ground with an energized punch. Charging two orbs of energy in his hands, Goku flies back down at the opponent and rams them face-first with the attack, obliterating them.
Galick Gun - To utilize it, Vegeta curls his fingers and places both his hands together at chest level facing the same direction (so that the palm of one hand is on the back of the other). Then, once enough ki is gathered, he shouts "Galick Gun!" and thrusts both hands forward to fire a powerful blast of energy. The result is a powerful, huge, fuchsia-colored ki beam that emanates from his hands and body.
Big Bang Attack - In order to perform it, Vegeta extends his arm, opens his palm and turns his hand up right. He then condenses his ki in his palm and launches a ki blast that proceeds to detonate in a massive explosion.
Final Flash - The Final Flash is formed by throwing both arms open, hands held vertically and fingers wide while gathering ki. Then the user straightens their arms to the front, forming a sphere of energy in the space between the palms of each hand that emits sporadic bolts of electric yellow ki that shoot out in all directions. Finally, the user discharges a massive golden beam of energy with electric ki streaming around it towards his opponent.
Final Impact - Majin Vegeta raises his index finger, middle finger, and thumb forward and fires a powerful bolt of energy at the opponent, piercing through them and inflicting a large amount of damage.
Double Galick Cannon - First, Vegeta charges at the opponent, but stops right in front of them and places both of his hands on the opponent's chest. Then, he charges yellow energy in his hands. Finally, Vegeta fires the yellow energy in the form of a massive energy wave against the opponent, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

A new threat emerges, tearing through the Earth without warning. Goku and Vegeta arrive at the scene, sensing the overwhelming power.
Goku steps forward, tense. “This guy’s ki is insane. We might be in trouble.”
Vegeta narrows his eyes. “Then we don’t hold back, Kakarot.”
With a surge of energy, Goku transforms into Super Saiyan 3. Vegeta powers up beside him, lightning crackling as he reaches Super Saiyan 2.
