Vegito is the result of Goku and Vegeta fusing through the use of the Potara earrings, a powerful magical artifact granted by the Supreme Kais. Unlike the temporary fusion from the Metamoran Dance, Potara fusion is permanent for Kais and lasts one hour for mortals, producing a warrior that is vastly more powerful than the sum of his parts.

Leading up to Vegito’s creation, both Goku and Vegeta had exhausted nearly all options in their battle against Super Buu, whose strength had reached catastrophic levels after absorbing multiple powerful fighters, including Gohan, Gotenks, and Piccolo. Super Buu’s intelligence and raw power posed a threat neither Goku nor Vegeta could overcome individually. Goku, having previously witnessed the Potara fusion performed by Elder Kai and Kibito, was entrusted with a pair of Potara earrings as a last resort.

Initially, Goku intended to use the earrings to fuse with Gohan, believing that their combined strength could defeat Buu. However, Gohan was absorbed before the fusion could happen. With no other choice, and despite their longstanding rivalry and pride, Goku convinced Vegeta to perform the fusion. Though reluctant, Vegeta agreed after realizing the gravity of the threat Buu posed—not just to Earth, but to all of existence.

When the earrings were activated, the two Saiyans fused into Vegito, a being who inherited Goku's creativity and calm in battle, along with Vegeta’s ruthless precision and pride. The result was a supremely confident and overwhelmingly powerful warrior, easily dominating Super Buu even after he had reached his most dangerous form. Vegito's power far surpassed anything seen before, effortlessly resisting Buu’s strongest attacks, overwhelming him in both strength and technique, and even mocking him mid-battle.

Appearance: Vegito is a mixture of both Goku and Vegeta's characteristics, with a few deviations. He has the same body type as Goku, while his hair color is dark brown to reddish brown. He has Goku's softer jawline and Vegeta's sharper eyes. Vegito's upper hair style stands firmly upwards like Vegeta, while having Goku's hairline and has two bangs sticking out like a downward "V" shape. Vegito wears two yellow Potara earrings as result of the Potara fusion and wears a color-swapped version of the Turtle School Uniform that Goku usually wears, with the top and pants being blue with an orange undershirt. The belt stays the same blue color, and he wears the white gloves and boots of Vegeta.

When he transforms into a Super Saiyan, his hair shape stays the same but turns golden blonde. As Super Vegito, he gains a slight increase in muscle mass, bluish-green eyes, very defined golden hair and eyebrows and a golden aura. Because of the intensity of his power, his aura also exhibits sparks around it (similar to Super Saiyan 2). Once transformed, his power soared to unimaginable heights.

Vegito’s personality is a fusion of Goku’s carefree optimism and Vegeta’s prideful intensity, resulting in a confident, sharp-witted warrior who balances lightheartedness with unwavering determination. He often displays a cocky, taunting demeanor in battle, relishing the opportunity to mock his enemies and exploit their weaknesses with precision. This playful arrogance echoes Vegeta’s smugness but is tempered by Goku’s cheerful, laid-back nature, giving Vegito a more charismatic and mischievous edge.

Despite his bravado, Vegito is not reckless. He inherits Vegeta’s strategic thinking and Goku’s creative combat instincts, making him highly adaptable and effective in high-stakes fights. He enjoys testing his opponents but remains focused when the situation demands it, shedding his playful attitude when it’s time to act decisively. His calm under pressure and ability to read his opponent give him a commanding presence in battle.

Vegito retains both Goku and Vegeta’s memories and experiences, but regards them as distinct identities within himself. He often refers to Goku and Vegeta in the third person, acknowledging their individual traits while operating as a new, unified being.

His sense of humor—sometimes sarcastic, sometimes theatrical—emerges during combat, particularly when facing arrogant opponents like Super Buu. While he enjoys toying with enemies, his ultimate goal remains the protection of others. Vegito embodies the best of both warriors: Goku’s heart and improvisation, Vegeta’s discipline and pride, and a fusion-born power that makes him uniquely formidable.

Abilities:

Flight – The ability to take flight through the manipulation of ki.

Ki Sense – The ability to sense the energy of other beings.

Banshee Blast – The user leans forward and points all five fingers of his right hand at the opponent. Then, he charges up five small golden-yellow energy spheres each on the tip of each finger and finally fires the energy spheres at the opponent, inflicting a great deal of damage.

Kamehameha – A powerful ki blast fired with two hands after concentrating a large amount of ki.

Delta Storm - The move consists of the user delivering a heavy blow to their opponent, and then "warping" behind them and slamming them to the ground.

Big Bang Flash – First, Vegito extends his hand with his palm open, similar to the Big Bang Attack. However, Vegito instead fires an energy wave instead of an energy sphere, dealing a large amount of damage.

Final Kamehameha – First, Vegito cups both hands to his side and ki is concentrated into a single point. He then puts both of his hands forward as if he were performing the Final Flash and fires a yellow energy wave.

Psychic Whip - Vegito gets into a position as if he just finished performing a Kamehameha. He then stands tall, points his fingers at the opponent, and cocks it back as if he fired a gun. The opponent is then hit by a powerful, golden Exploding Wave.

Savage Counter – Vegito folds his arms and stands on one foot, holding his chin up to his opponent, saying "Hey how's that?" If the opponent hits in time, there is a pause in everything except time and camera movement, Vegito saying "Not fun!" Then, Vegito counters with a savage volley of kicks, then he finishes by kicking them away, saying "Take this!".

Perfect Game – When the opponent attempts to attack, Vegito asks "Hey, what's the matter?" as he punches the opponent in the stomach. Then, he punches the opponent across the face and spins around to roundhouse kick them away. Finally, Vegito puts his hand forward and fires a large golden-yellow energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a massive amount of damage.

Spirit Sword – Vegito charges condensed energy in his right hand and forms into a sword-like blast that can be controlled to become longer or shorter.

Instant Transmission – A technique for traveling long distances instantly. This action is usually accompanied by the user placing his index and middle fingers on his forehead to help him concentrate, though if extra time is taken the technique can be performed without this aid.

Spirit Cannon – Super Vegito extends his hand towards the enemy, becoming surrounded by yellow energy and releasing a powerful sparkling golden energy blast, instead of a constant beam of energy.

Satan City is a city located north of Mount Paozu and south of East City. It was originally named Orange City, but was renamed after Mr. Satan in commemoration of his supposed victory over Cell in the Cell Games (which Gohan actually won).
