Appearance: Safalin is a tall, skinny woman with an hourglass figure and white skin, shoulder-length green hair topped by a headpiece resembling whipped cream, large green eyes with exaggeratedly large tears drawn beneath them, a large chest, and dark, tired eye bags. She is often seen wearing a timid expression with quivering lips. Her iris color may change to dark crimson if she's feeling excited or dominating someone.

Her outfit is reminiscent of melon cream soda. Safalin wears a large, collared vanilla cream and green-colored tube dress with a frothy design. Her lopsided blue hat has a swirly, soft-serve-style decoration with a cherry on the side and a doctor's mirror on the rim. Her hat also has a blue-and-white striped straw sticking out from the top. She has a blue ribbon wrapped symmetrically around her arms and neck and wears thigh-high green socks with cream accents.

Background: Before she worked for ASU-NARO, Michiru's former workplace treated her poorly, despite her capability as a diehard researcher. As a result, she was receptive to the idea of joining another company as long as she was offered an ideal environment. After she joined, she adopted the pseudonym "Tia Safalin," or "The Crying Doll," for the death game.

She is the vice floor master of the Third Floor, working as a partner for Rio Ranger. However, she is there to make sure Rio Ranger is doing his job, and she reports to Gashu Satou, the real master of the Third Floor.

Personality: True to her name as The Crying Doll, Safalin does play the submissive part well. She apologizes frequently if she made a mistake, and she is willing to allow others to bully or abuse her in any way they want. She speaks nervously but gently most of the time, but she doesn't stutter and speaks clearly. She is also seemingly nice, as she is willing to help others whenever they need it. She is capable of sizing up one's person emotions and understanding their mental state with precision.

However, Safalin isn't less heartless or bloodlusty than her fellow employees at ASU-NARO despite her weakness and fragility. If she thinks there will be no consequences for Safalin's darker actions, she is willing to take advantage of others and dominate over them. She loves seeing others squirm or be killed, and she also likes controlling others through any means necessary, even if she's physically weak to do so. While Safalin may act selfless, she is actually a very selfish woman who puts her life above everyone else's. As such, she may be seen as an opportunistic snake despite what her submissive and apologetic personality may suggest.
