Appearance: Gin is a 12-year-old skinny boy with brown hair and green eyes. He has brown bangs framing his face and forehead.

He wears blue denim shorts, a gray T-shirt, and a gray medical mask. He also wears socks and orange slippers with paws on the soles. His outfit is themed around various animals and includes bat wings, a monkey tail, and a hooded cape with cat ears. He also wears large animal-paw mittens and carries around a dog cushion, which he affectionately calls 'Mew-chan'.

Gin treasures Mew-chan dearly and considers it his partner. Gin only allows people he trusts to handle Mew-chan and gets angry when those he doesn't like try to touch it. Moreover, Gin presses Mew-chan against his cheek to show his gratitude. Gin sees Mew-chan as a person and a part of his family and even apologizes to Mew-chan when he thinks he might've hurt its feelings.

Mew-chan often mimics Gin's expressions.

Gin has a good sense of smell due to his autism.

Background: Gin Ibushi grew up as an only child in a dual-income household. His father married Gin's mother when Gin was two, and has no blood relation to him. Gin's mother spends most of the time at work and comes home exhausted, and his father is an alcoholic who often gets yelled at by his wife for causing trouble. Gin describes his dad as "embarrassing" and "pathetic" after he tried to throw Mew-chan away in the garbage, but he loves him nonetheless.

Gin is a student at Heiwa Elementary. He is in Class 6-3 and takes care of the class animals. He describes not finding school fun because he doesn't like some of the other students, but he still thinks it's nice to meet up with friends and play together. He doesn't wear his in-game outfit to school because teachers and other students disapprove of it and get mad at him, so he only wears it at home. This makes Gin uneasy at school, as he finds it easier to communicate with people when he wears his outfit.

Gin frequently visited his school counselor, with whom he discussed his school, home life, and autism.

Personality: Gin is an optimistic, playful, and positive boy who is generally friendly towards others. While he warms up to people easily, he can occasionally be sarcastic or blunt to them. He tends to get attached to those he really likes and admires, such as those who are charismatic or outgoing. However, at times, Gin may be reserved and withdraw to reenergize due to his autism, but he hardly gets sad about things. He ends most of his sentences with "meow" and "woof" and tends to casually nickname those around him.

Gin likes to help others when they need it, but he is smart enough to know not to go around helping strangers unnecessarily.
