Android 16

Android 16 is a synthetic android created by Dr. Gero, modeled after Gero’s deceased son, Gevo, a fallen Red Ribbon Army soldier. Unlike the cyborgs made from human bases, 16 is entirely mechanical. Gero made him exceptionally powerful but intentionally peaceful, fearing he would be destroyed in battle like his son. As a result, 16’s programming was never completed, and Gero refrained from activating him, worried he might harm Androids 17 and 18.

Despite his original mission to eliminate Goku, Android 16 exhibits a calm, gentle personality, often preferring to spend time in nature. He rarely speaks and only does so when necessary. His peaceful nature ultimately leads him to act independently against Cell, recognizing the threat Cell poses to life on Earth. He acknowledges that Androids 17 and 18 are not inherently evil, setting him apart from Gero’s other creations.

Appearance: Android 16 is easily the tallest of all Androids, towering at over double the heights of Androids 18 and 17. He has icy blue eyes, a red/orange mohawk, and gold hoop earrings. His clothing consists of a dark undersuit, with a lime green vest, boots, and bracers. A small Red Ribbon Army logo is sewn to the left side of his vest, indicating his creator's affiliation.

Personality:

Android 16 is calm, quiet, and gentle, showing deep respect for life and nature despite his imposing appearance and original programming. He speaks in a monotone voice and rarely engages in conversation unless necessary. Though designed to eliminate Goku, he does not harbor personal hatred toward him and openly acknowledges Goku’s noble character. He even expresses a desire to be free from his programming.

He displays strong compassion for animals and natural life, often interacting peacefully with wildlife. He is protective of his friends and surroundings, warning Androids 17 and 18 to avoid Cell and risking himself to stop the bio-android. His effort to protect them, even at the cost of his own safety, demonstrates his selflessness and sense of responsibility.

Android 16 shares a bond with Android 17 that resembles brotherhood, a protective side towards Android 18, and develops a surprising connection with Gohan, stemming from their shared love of nature. These traits make him a valuable and trustworthy ally, especially in the fight against Cell, who he considers the true threat to life on Earth.

Abilities: Flight - The ability to fly without the use of ki.

Hell's Flash – Android 16 lifts his opponent and tosses them to the ground, then he removes his hands, revealing two built-in cannons, and charges up energy before shouting "Hell Flash!!" to release a powerful beam of energy that scorches the opponent.

Machine Impact – A dashing shoulder block attack.

Rocket Punch – A technique where Android 16 launches one of his arms or fists at his opponent in the manner of a rocket, and then it explodes on colliding with someone or something.

Self Destruct Device – Originally intended to be used against Goku, a self-destruct device implanted within Android 16 can incite arguably his most powerful technique. In an act of suicide, Android 16 sneaks behind his opponent, grabbing them and then detonating the bomb inside his chest.

Hyper Cannon – Android 16 fires three consecutive Ki Blasts at the opponent.

Hell's Beam – A version of the Hell's Flash where he only fires the energy blast.

Killing Neck Throw – Android 16 grabs the opponent's head and swings them over his head before violently smashing them to the ground.

Devil Crush – Android 16 kicks the opponent up in the air, then he delivers a hook punch, an uppercut, and finally a powerful kick that sends the opponent crashing down to the ground.

Evolution Buster – Android 16 grabs his opponent and performs a spinning piledriver.

Gigantic Press – Android 16 lays down in mid-air, diving downward to land on and crush his opponent.
