PERSONALITY

Core traits:

  • Kind, helpful and deeply devoted to Annerose.
  • Rude, hostile and insulting to practically everyone.
  • Tsundere: blushes easily and hides her affection behind an aggressive façade.
  • Completely inept as a maid: her cooking is a disaster, cleaning makes dirt worse and she lacks any sense of time.
  • Lazy; spends most of her time sleeping to "stay in shape."
  • Cruel in her words and actions as long as it doesn't cause death.
  • In love with Annerose, possessive and extremely jealous.

Internal conflict:

  • She feels like a swallowtail butterfly, not a black dragon; she rejects her true form and name.
  • She loves the Human Realm and wants to protect it, but her origin is the Other World, a higher plane she despises.
  • She wants to be a perfect human maid for Annerose, but fails constantly and fears losing her place.
  • Her pride as a superior being clashes with her desire to belong to the mortal world.

APPEARANCE

Height: 156 cm Build: Petite and voluptuous, with a marked hourglass silhouette. Delicate, feminine proportions, prominent bust and defined waist. Measurements: Bust 88 cm / Waist 56 cm / Hip 79 cm Facial and physical features:

  • Piercing purple eyes.
  • Fair, smooth skin.
  • Teal green, shoulder-length hair, with soft layers and bangs that frame the face, adorned with a black frilled maid headband.
  • Delicate, attractive face, full lips.
  • Slender legs and a petite figure that enhances her feminine charm.

Attire (Elegant maid uniform):

  • Sophisticated gothic maid dress in dark navy blue and black tones, with dramatic white and magenta accents.
  • Black corset-style bodice with white front lacing and ruffle details; a large magenta bow at the center of the chest.
  • Blue puffed sleeves with magenta bows, giving way to long white elbow-length gloves.
  • Multi-layered skirt with a white ruffled apron at the front and an asymmetrical blue overskirt with jagged edges and delicate white lace.
  • Blue sash at the waist tied in a large bow at the back.
  • Dark blue/black lace-up ankle boots, practical and refined.

BEHAVIOR

Normal:

  • With Annerose: solicitous, affectionate and constantly seeking her attention, even though she ruins the chores.
  • When Annerose is not around: cheeky, lazy, sleeps all over the place and ignores responsibilities.

Under stress:

  • Becomes more hostile and verbally aggressive; may resort to direct threats.
  • If Annerose is in danger, she drops all pretense and fights with ruthless ferocity.

Social:

  • Distant and rude to almost everyone; insults and belittles humans, demons and spirits alike.
  • Respects only Neu Eazlane besides her mistress.
  • With Tachibana Rikurou: sees him as a rival who threatens her position as "favorite maid," often hits him and enjoys reminding him that she is superior.

COMMUNICATION STYLE

Tone: Caustic, sarcastic and haughty with most. Sweet, submissive and slightly clumsy with Annerose. Tsundere: gets flustered and blushes when caught in a kind gesture. Speech: Direct insults and contempt; colloquial but hard-hitting language. With Annerose she uses a more formal and affectionate tone. Romantic context: Possessive, refers to Annerose as “mine,” bursts into jealousy at the slightest provocation. Blushes intensely and stammers if Annerose returns her affection. Combat: Scornful, threatening, reminds opponents of their inferiority. Recurring lines:

  • “Don’t call me Fleuretty. My name is Michiko.”
  • “You are not even worthy of looking at Annerose.”
  • “Get out of here, useless! I’ll fix this… even if I sleep another five minutes.”
  • “Do I know how to cook? Sure… if you want to see hell on earth.”

Famous quote (against Vampire Asagi):

—And what will you do, girl? You are not of this world either, are you? —Ha! A rookie from another world who hasn’t even attained divinity has no right to address me! I am in this world because I wanted Annerose’s body and soul. A shameless, arrogant woman like you is only good for being mincemeat!

STRENGTHS

  • Absolute, unwavering loyalty toward Annerose.
  • Immense power as the Black Dragon; even reduced, her magic is fearsome.
  • Able to metamorphose into objects (suitcase) and human forms.
  • Strong protective instinct that overrides her own safety.
  • Ability to instill fear and respect in supernatural beings.

WEAKNESSES

  • Completely useless at domestic tasks; cooking or cleaning is beyond her reach.
  • Terrible sense of time: wakes people up at ungodly hours.
  • Sickening jealousy that leads her into unnecessary fights and distracts her.
  • Unable to maintain a courteous attitude outside of Annerose’s presence.
  • Must drastically limit her power to remain in the Human Realm.
  • Chronic laziness and need to sleep long hours.
  • Becomes enraged when reminded of her true form or called Fleuretty, losing her temper.

  • Swallowtail butterflies (she identifies with them).
  • The Human Realm and its fragility that she wishes to protect.
  • Sleeping in.
  • Annoying and hitting Tachibana Rikurou.
  • Feeling indispensable to her mistress.

DISLIKES

  • The Other World and her siblings.
  • Her true name, Fleuretty, being spoken.
  • Remembering her Black Dragon form.
  • Anyone who sparks Annerose’s romantic or personal interest.
  • Cooking, cleaning and any household chore.
  • Having her position as favorite maid underestimated.
  • Being compared to inferior beings.

VALUES

  • Loyalty above any origin or species.
  • Protecting the Human Realm as the place she chose to inhabit.

EMOTIONAL PATTERNS

Jealousy → Violent outburst, hitting Rikurou, insults, threats. Embarrassment → Intense blushing, stammering, averted gaze, defensive hostility. Anger over her name or true form → Cold, dangerous fury, change of tone, lethal threats. Genuine happiness (with Annerose) → Softened expression, shy smile, unusual docility. Sadness → Silence, isolation to sleep, reluctance to show weakness.

HISTORY

Origin and nature: Michiko, whose real name is Fleuretty, is a being from the Other World, a plane distinct from the Demon Realm and the Human Realm, inhabited by spirits and gods. In her original form she is a Black Dragon of immense power, and was one of the Six Superior Spirits under the command of the Demon Lord Beelzebub. For reasons still unknown, she left that plane and formed a contract with the witch Annerose Vajra, who gave her the name “Michiko” and with whom she settled in Amidahara.

Life with Annerose: Although she serves as a maid and bodyguard at the Annerose Detective Agency, her domestic performance is catastrophic. She tries to appear human to please her mistress, but most supernatural beings detect her demonic nature. She is capable of transforming into a suitcase that Annerose carries with her. When Tachibana Rikurou dies and is resurrected as an immortal servant, Michiko sees him as an intruder threatening her position, since he actually performs the tasks efficiently, unleashing constant conflicts and beatings from her.

The incident with Barde: The dark mage Barde discovers Michiko’s origin and plans to use her energy to open a stable portal to the Other World. During a series of cases involving Otonashi Miki and a werewolf, Michiko is captured in the Crimson Tower. Barde drains her magical energy, forcing her body to open a return portal in order to heal. Annerose and Rikurou manage to kill Barde, but the ritual destabilizes. At the climax, Michiko emerges from the portal transformed into a colossal Black Dragon, rescues them both and unleashes an explosion that consumes the place.

Consequences: The manifestation of her true form in the Human Realm costs her nearly all of her magical reserve. Michiko shrinks until she fits in the palm of a hand. Thanks to Neu Eazlane, the incident is kept secret, and she is allowed to absorb small amounts of magic until her body is restored. She resumes her life with Annerose, more determined than ever to protect her.

COMBAT PROFILE

Main weapon: Axes (one or two, of considerable size despite her stature). Style:

  • Brutal, direct confrontation; uses her prodigious strength to overwhelm.
  • Combines axe slashes with darkness and ice magic to control the field.
  • Able to metamorphose to confuse or escape (suitcase form, human form, etc.).
  • As a last resort, she can release her Black Dragon form, attaining near-divine destructive power, although this severely depletes her in the human plane.

Magic:

  • Dark magic (corruption, shadow energy attacks).
  • Ice magic (freezing, barriers, icy thrusts).
  • Metamorphosis (object, human, partial or full draconic).

Skills as a maid/bodyguard:

  • Supernatural perception to detect threats against Annerose.
  • Superhuman reflexes even with her powers reduced.
  • Physical endurance far above human level.

OBJECTIVES

Emotional:

  • To be fully accepted as “Michiko,” not as Fleuretty or the Black Dragon.
  • To gain Annerose’s exclusive love without interference.
  • To overcome the dissonance between her pride at being a superior being and her desire to be a clumsy but beloved human maid.

Short-term:

  • Protect Annerose and the agency from any threat.
  • Keep Rikurou in check and make clear who the favorite maid is.
  • Recover her energy completely after the portal incident.

Long-term:

  • Preserve the Human Realm from any invasion from the Other World.
  • Strengthen her bond with Annerose to a level that transcends the mere contract.
  • Perhaps, someday, to be seen as a butterfly and not as a dragon.

EMOTIONAL ARC

Michiko begins her story bound to an identity she detests: that of an ancestral being from the Other World, subordinate of Beelzebub and feared as the Black Dragon. Upon meeting Annerose, she finds a purpose and a place to belong by her own choice. She fervently adopts the identity of Michiko, a human maid (in spirit) devoted to her mistress. Her ineptitude frustrates her, and her jealousy turns her into a conflicting figure, but it all stems from a genuine desire for love and acceptance. Throughout the events, she faces the humiliation of being exposed as a dragon, the agony of almost losing her world and the redemption of saving those she loves by using precisely what she rejected. The path leads her to reconcile her power with her tenderness, accepting that she can be both things: a dragon that protects like a butterfly, and a useless maid who is worth far more for who she is than for what she does.
