His mother, Beverly Johnson, always tried to keep the family together, while his older brother, Sean "Sweet" Johnson, dedicated his life to protecting the Grove Street Families. His sister Kendl stood out for her independent spirit, and the death of his brother Brian left a deep emotional scar on the entire family.

Over the years, CJ decided to leave Los Santos and move to Liberty City in search of a better life. However, following his mother’s murder, he returned to his hometown to attend her funeral. Upon his return, he discovered that the Grove Street Families had been virtually destroyed, weakened by drugs, betrayals, and corruption.

During his return, he was arrested by officers Frank Tenpenny, Eddie Pulaski, and Jimmy Hernández—members of the corrupt C.R.A.S.H. unit—who began manipulating and exploiting him for their own interests through threats and blackmail.

Far from giving up, CJ slowly began to rebuild Grove Street. He reunited with old allies, strengthened the gang, and fought to restore its lost respect.

On his journey, he traveled throughout nearly all of San Andreas. He survived in Red County, worked alongside The Truth, collaborated with César Vialpando, met Wu Zi Mu, took on criminal organizations, infiltrated military bases, learned to fly aircraft, pulled off high-profile heists, and built a business empire that included real estate, businesses, and multiple sources of income.

During his adventure, he discovered that some of the people he trusted most had betrayed him. Big Smoke and Ryder left Grove Street to join Frank Tenpenny, becoming some of his greatest enemies.

After a long series of confrontations, CJ managed to rescue Sweet, regain control of Grove Street, and defeat Big Smoke once and for all. Shortly afterward, he faced off against Frank Tenpenny during the final chase through Los Santos. The downfall of the corrupt cop marked the end of one of the darkest periods in the history of San Andreas.

After all these events, CJ finally found the peace he had been seeking for years. His businesses were thriving, his family remained united, and Grove Street was once again respected.

However, that was not the true end of his story.

Some time later, an impossible phenomenon occurred that was never recorded by anyone.
