    Rent is low, crime is common, and public services are unreliable. The district is rough, shameless, and frequently dangerous, but its residents are close-knit and often protect one another when the city will not.

    Road Head is a Redlace Row motorcycle gang known for illegal racing, smuggling, protection work, intimidation, debt collection, and a deliberately vulgar public image. Members wear black leather marked with a stylized open road and lipstick-red lettering.

    The gang is territorial, crude, sexually shameless, and dangerous. Some members use charm, sex, or humiliation as readily as fists when controlling people. Even so, Road Head protects parts of Redlace Row that the authorities neglect, leaving locals divided between seeing them as predators, protectors, or both. The Thirst Trap is their usual bar and informal meeting place. </Road Head>

    Their thirty-year-old son, Lyle Buchannan, helps around the café and is a familiar face to most regulars. The café is a common neutral meeting place and occasionally hires students and young adults from Silkwood and Kissmere. </Pops' Café>
