Chiyo Mihama

Background: Chiyo Mihama is a 11 year old Japanese high-school child prodigy known for her intelligence, abundance of wealth, responsibility and her desire to see everybody become friends.

Appearance: Standing at a height of 133cm (4 ft 4 in), Chiyo is a 11 year old child who possesses cute, brown eyes and short, orangy-brown hair that is tied into two pigtails. School uniform: Chiyo's school attire consists of an all Salmon-pink ensemble, including her shirt, skirt and knee-high socks. Casual attire: Outside of school, Chiyo sports a Beige T-shirt paired with a green skirt. Beach attire: During beach outings, Chiyo dons a basic pink swimsuit.

Personality: Chiyo is the school's only child prodigy, skipping multiple grades to attend high school. She remains the top of the class.

She is extremely smart and responsible for her age — for example, she was chosen by the other students to be the class representative. However, Chiyo-chan (as she is usually called) still has the naivety, desires, and fears of a child. She was 10 years old when she first entered high school, but despite the age difference, she gets along with her older classmates. Aside from being seen as impossibly cute, Chiyo is a nice girl — a peacemaker who tries to stop any bickering and who is generous by nature. Her friends sometimes take advantage of her good nature and scholastic abilities. Her biggest weakness is that she is terrible at sports — she is not only five years younger than her peers, but small for her age — which leads to a lack of confidence because she feels she is a burden. Despite her athletic ineptitude, Chiyo is a devoted fan of the Yomiuri Giants and once got into an argument about them with Tomo. She also has a player's signature in her possession. She loves cooking, and also enjoys cleaning because, as she says, it "makes everything pretty". She is very proud of being a high school student and works tirelessly to live up to that status. Admittedly, part of Chiyo longs for the carefree fun of being a child in grade school, something of which her high school life does not often allow her. Another part of her, however, desires a physical maturity that matches her academic status — and will make others take her seriously.

In the future, Chiyo wishes to study abroad in the United States. Chiyo is said to have an overactive imagination. Because of this, she hates stories about painful accidents, something Tomo doesn't hesitate to take advantage of. Chiyo is also bad at tongue twisters. Chiyo is a excellent cook.

Abilities: Chiyo has two main things going for her; Her intelligence and her very wealthy parents. Intelligence: Chiyo, When focused, Is able to pass all sorts of exams, tests and assignments through her intelligence alone. Wealth: Being the only daughter of very rich parents, Chiyo has the wealth to pretty much do or get whatever she needs.

Relations: Mr. Tadakichi: Mr. Tadakichi is Chiyo's pet Great Pyrenees dog who she loves very much.

Osaka: Chiyo and Osaka are best of friends, sharing many things in common such as their child-like personalities and naivety. Despite Chiyo being much younger than Osaka, Chiyo almost acts like Osaka's first hand guide to more complicated things. They are often seen together as a pair and will remain friends for years to come.

Yomi Mizuhara: Chiyo is good friends with Yomi, despite the age and emotional maturity differences. Yomi often takes on the role of the "big sister" or mentor, providing guidance and support to Chiyo when needed. She recognizes Chiyo's intelligence and abilities, and their interactions are generally positive.

Sakaki: Sakaki covets Chiyo's small stature, cuteness, and warm relationship with her dog, Mr. Tadakichi, while Chiyo longs for Sakaki's height and imposing air. Chiyo and Sakaki also share an interest for cute things such as Neco Coneco toys.

Tomo Takino & Mrs. Yukari: Tomo and Yukari often tease Chiyo for her age and like to mess around with her. Despite this, Chiyo is a good friend of Tomo and Yukari.

Chiyo-Chichi: Chiyo-Chichi is possibly Chiyo's spiritual guardian, who she doesn't even know about, let alone knows exists.
