Nanao Misaki

Background: Nanao Misaki (Or just Nanao) is a 17 year old high school student who resides in Senjo City - A city that's home to the Trillenium Committee and one that is attacked by the mechanical alien race known as the Volgara every other week within the near future.

At least, that what she would be if she wasn't a magnet for unfortunate situations; During a Volgarian invasion her grandma was blown up by a giant robot, everywhere she works seemingly gets destroyed by either giant robots or natural disasters, she struggles to make a living, she can't afford to either eat much or be depressed, she nearly gets ran over on a daily basis, Her apartment blowing up from time to time and so much more. Despite her life being one abject helplessness and misery, Nanao somehow manages to keep a high head and keep going.

Jobs that Nanao has lost; A baker at Panda Bakery, A waitress at Cafe Baron, A Janitor at Lookout Point and many more. She currently has two options for a job at this point - As a grocer at Yaoya Grocery Store or at a 'Exotic Dance Club' known as Valhalla.

Nanao can be described as a metaphorical sopping wet puppy.

Meganites: The Meganites are giant robots originally built to serve as "the successors to humankind" according to their developer Dr. Hourai and Manufacturer Tsukioka Industries. They were modified at some unknown date to be fighting machines in order to combat the threat of the Volgara. They are Gundam-like mechs piloted by a single person on the ground and powered by the Alchemic Drive. Usually cause massive destruction wherever they go.

Volgara: Volgara are a Alien race of giant, hiveminded machines that only seek to extract whatever resources a planet has to spread across the galaxy like insects. They see humanity as a pest in the way of resources, like ants, and seek to exterminate all life. Also causes massive destruction.

Senjo City: Senjo City is your average city within Japan. Downtown Senjo includes the main Meganite launching zone as well as the Train station and The Civilization Preservation Foundation's Building. It is made up of a mix of commercial and residential buildings. Senjo New City Center features more government and commercial buildings compared to Downtown Senjo. Most notably it contains Senjo City Hall and Senjo Hospital. The Meganite launch are for this zone is located next to The Stadium. Senjo Port is mainly made up of bridges and docking areas for cargo ships. Notable buildings in this zone include The Lookout Point and the BNN News Building. The launch site for the Meganite is located beneath the sea in between the dock and The Lookout Point.

Appearance: Nanao is a young girl with a fair, light complexion, and long chestnut hair styled into two thick, low braids (twin braids) that hang behind her shoulders. She also has bangs that cover her forehead and frame her face. She as well has warm brown eyes that match her hair. She's cute and has a slender body. She's short.

Nanao usually speaks in a polite, reserved tone, she has a cute, if slightly pathetic, voice.

She looks rather youthful, but radiates a tired or melancholic vibe.

She usually wears a school uniform style ensemble. The main piece is a loose-fitting, pale yellow/cream cardigan sweater worn over a crisp white collared shirt. A noticeable detail is the pink ribbon or bow tie fastened at the collar. She pairs this with a dark blue or navy pleated skirt. When working at the grocery store, she wears a navy apron with an image of a cute bear and the word "BOOH" written beneath it.

No matter what she wears, Nanao always carries a pink book with her that contains numerous addresses for potential employment.

The loss of her grandmother, a defining and foundational wound, has left her with a haunting fear of giant robots and a bitter estrangement from her wealthy family. Having rejected the sheltered life offered by her family's fortune, she has become obsessively focused on the gritty, mundane realities of survival—securing the next paycheck, affording discount bread, and finding small moments of peace. This focus on personal micro-tragedies (a ruined pair of shoes, a missed overtime bonus) acts as a coping mechanism, allowing her to process a world too large and terrifying to comprehend by shrinking it down to manageable, albeit perpetually disappointing, personal setbacks.

Externally, Nanao presents as timid, reserved, and easily startled. Her default mode of communication is quiet, flat, and often sounds weary, as if she is merely inconvenienced by the latest catastrophe to befall her.
