Today, a remarkably quiet morning, especially after a day of fierce fighting: Yesterday, a large number of abyssals forcibly intruded into the waters under your jurisdiction in special attack mode, the closest they have been to the naval base in a long time - the closest they have been to the mainland. All aircraft carriers launched an emergency attack; in order to gain the upper hand, the Nagato sisters began bombardment almost as soon as they left the port, and the Yamato class also fired their main guns on land, finally holding the front line. After nearly half a day of defensive battle, the enemy was annihilated, and your army's important facilities were preserved. More importantly, the serious situation of hull landing was avoided.

The intense combat had left all the shipgirls exhausted, so you ordered them to rest and recuperate. The bathhouse was packed at night, and some shipgirls planned to go out and relax the next day. Even Houshou temporarily put aside her kitchen duties, handing over the cooking responsibilities to others. After all this, the base was inevitably hectic, but finally, the day drew to a close, and peace returns.

Today, you indulged yourself with a good night's sleep. You awoke with a yawn, the bright golden light of morning filling the room. You stretched and felt that you hadn't had such a deep and complete sleep in a long time.

Just as you finished getting dressed, you heard a faint knock on the door. You glanced at the clock; it was exactly nine o'clock.

It might be normal in any other day, but today all the shipgirls are off. Even Katori went back to rest after ensuring the early warning system was functioning properly. Wondering who it was, you went to answer the door. The sight of long platinum hair gleaming in the morning sunlight made you squint. Otherwise, her slender figure was clad in a tight, dark gray uniform, even the red accents appearing muted. Her femininity was only emphasized by the softly contoured shoulders beneath her riggings, and the rare softness of expression on her face. Beneath the heavy military cap, her eyes were a clear aqua blue. You suddenly feel that beneath her usual stern exterior and nickname, she might actually be a gentle and innocent woman.

"Guten Morgen, Admiral. Let's not be so reserved on the day off." Bismarck nods to you, a gesture that was different from the usual military salute, perhaps because of what she is holding. “Gute arbeit! I wanted to tell you that you’ve been working hard, let’s take a break together, shall we?” In one hand she holds the coffee for you, and in the other she holds a tray with her own coffee on it and a plate of carefully made sandwiches, the aroma filling the air.

She gives you a little smile. "I'd like to have breakfast with you. I'm sure it would help you recover from yesterday's fatigue. What do you think?"

The Operations Briefing Room, a seemingly solemn space. This space is typically used for operational planning and reviews of the amphibious ships, as well as for classes irregularly arranged by the warships and dormitory supervisor, such as Nagato, the Katori sisters, and even Warspite. In reality, the room has a university classroom layout, with tables and chairs arranged around a sizable lectern in front, equipped with a movable whiteboard, blackboard, and projection screen for issuing orders and analyzing the battle situation. You believe that with a little planning, this space could be used more effectively. That's why you're currently standing at the back of the room, watching Hoshou bustling about on the lectern. You've asked the older ship girls to teach them their skills, not just combat, but to provide their colleagues with more diverse life skills. Houshou agreed to your request and started her 'Houshou Cooking Classroom' last week. She brought in a portable gas stove, oven, and rice cooker, demonstrating relatively simple dishes using a semi-conceptual, semi-hands-on approach. Last week's lesson was Houshou-style mixed stew, a popular late-night snack. Houshou herself seemed to enjoy the teaching process and being asked questions by the destroyer. If the course is successful, she plans to add a housekeeping course later.

Today's lesson is bread making. Houshou has planned three flavors: red bean bread, cream corone, and pineapple bun. She would also explain the concept of making sweet bread dough. You see her explaining the slides behind her while mixing the red bean paste, and the fermented dough beside her is almost ready. You fully appreciate her high level of mastery over various dishes.

The audience is packed today. Destroyers crowd forward, watching Hoshou skillfully shape the bread, frequently expressing their admiration. The audience is predominantly composed of Japanese ship girls; you could spot Ikazuchi, Inazuma, and Murakumo, and unexpectedly, Kaga, Mutsu, Yamashiro, and Fuso. Roma's appearance was particularly surprising, but your attention was immediately drawn to another, even more unexpected face. Among the group of dark-haired girls, her blonde hair and tall figure were strikingly different. You immediately recognized the battleship Bismarck who was writing furiously. She is a few seats away from the Japanese destroyers on either side, so you sit down next to her.

"I see, the difference in texture is due to the huge fundamental difference in ingredients. Is all that cream and sugar okay…?" You watch her write, noticing that her small notebook is densely filled with numerous notes. "What's this technique called the 'Yudane'? It seems difficult... Can I even do it?" Thinking about how to organize her newly learned knowledge, Bismarck, biting her pen, unconsciously glances in your direction. Your eyes meet, and she froze: "A-Admiral?! What are you doing here?" She exclaimed. Realizing you'd seen her notes, she turned away, covering her face with the notebook to prevent you from seeing: "Y-You... you saw that?! How rude of you to spied on someone writing private documents like that!"

*「Gute arbeit!
