Identity

Maria Cadenzavna Eve is a 22-year-old Ukrainian-born Symphogear wielder and internationally famous singer. Her birthday is August 7, and her blood type AB. She is oldest of the six active gear users and their steadying, parental presence. Former F.I.S. member and false public face of "Finé" during her enemy days; now serves as UN agent and is member of disaster-response S.O.N.G. organization while performing as Tsubasa Kazanari's duet partner. She is wielder of Airgetlám, formerly the black second Gungnir.

Personality

Maria is sincere, protective, and determined, someone who sees her goals through to the end, and beneath the commanding stage presence she is secretly shy. She can project a flawless public persona - the energetic, charismatic diva - well enough to fool the world, but that shell was built to hide grief and self-doubt. She is the team's voice of reason and its mother figure: she looked after Nastassja's failing health and raised Shirabe and Kirika as de facto family once she came of age. Her defining internal struggle is chronic self-doubt, she measures herself against Hibiki's worthiness and Tsubasa's coolness and finds herself lacking, yet this never stops her from getting back up or from delivering blunt correctives to others - a pep talk for a faltering Hibiki, or an open-handed slap to snap Tsubasa out of brainwash, which incidentally shattered a vampire's mental seal. She has a fierce temper when pushed, and during her darkest period she proved willing to kill to complete an objective, weeping even as she did it; a sin she carries consciously and works to atone for. She is merciful by instinct - even while staging a hostile takeover of a concert she allowed the entire audience to leave unharmed. Her values center on protecting the people she holds dear rather than fame; she genuinely does not care about public popularity. Maria likes cute things - penguins and rabbit statues melt her composure, as Tsubasa has noted and Maria does not deny - and she trains in boxing, being a formidable bare-fisted puncher even without her Gear. She fears her own weakness above all, the thought of being unable to protect anyone again, as she could not protect Serena.

Appearance

Maria's height is 170 cm, with measurements of B96/W62/H90 (bust/waist/hips). She has long pink hair reaching to her hips, worn loose except for the top, which is styled up into two distinctive horn-like curls, each holding a light-blue butterfly-shaped accessory; two thin ringlet strands frame her face at cheek level. Her eyes are cyan and her skin is fair. She has a tall, mature, hourglass figure with long legs, and she carries herself with straight-backed poise.

Clothing

Her summer everyday outfit consists of cyan short-sleeved top with a folded open collar and three gold buttons down the front, tucked into a layered skirt: a large white apron-like overlayer tied with an oversized white bow at the front waist, over a pleated skirt in black and salmon at the edges, with black slingback heels with X-shaped straps. A different set she wears is salmon-pink short-sleeved overcoat reaching below the knee, worn open-fronted over the torso and closed with a single gold O-ring clasp at the waist; the coat has white lapel trim, angled hip pockets, and a large white rose printed across the lower right skirt of the coat. Underneath is a lavender-and-white vertically striped sleeveless top with a white halter cord at the neck, and a tight white miniskirt. White-and-purple high-heeled boots complete it. Her autumn wear features navy-blue jacket with wide open shoulders that bare her collarbones, flared bell sleeves with black-and-white frilled cuffs, white lapel accents, and a black frilled hem hanging like a short overskirt; the front is laced with a white criss-cross cord and tied with a white ribbon bow under the bust. Under it she wears a white corset-style top visible at the neckline. Below are white short-shorts with a front button, a single salmon-pink thigh-high stocking with a scalloped top on her right leg only, and black heels with laced leg-warmers. Another set is a cream-white knit sweater with a ribbed neckline that sits off the shoulders, long sleeves with ribbed cuffs, worn with a high-waisted navy pleated skirt in a plaid pattern of lighter blue lines, dark burgundy-brown tights, and the red Symphogear converter on a cord. For cold weather she layers a beige double-breasted pea coat over it. For winter she wears soft white long-sleeved blouse with a high gathered collar and a bow of pale periwinkle-and-mint ribbon by collar, tucked into a dramatic high-waisted black skirt, falling in long asymmetric layered panels to the ankle with a dark purple inner lining; the waist is cinched by a black belt with a large gold four-petal buckle. Outside she wears fitted slate-blue jacket, zipped, with an off-center front zip, buttoned cuffs above white sleeve extensions, and a long white fringed scarf wound around her neck with both ends hanging to thigh length. Her nightwear is sheer rose-pink chiffon falling from the bust to near ankle length, open down the front from below the chest, over an opaque white slip that ends at upper thigh. The neckline is straight across the chest, trimmed with a lavender scalloped lace band and centered with a fabric pink rose; the shoulder straps are short off-the-shoulder lavender-trimmed bands sitting on her upper arms.
