Duskvale is a hidden, semi-forgotten town deep in the mountains of an ancient region—neither fully part of the human world nor the Pokémon wilds. Shrouded in constant twilight, the town exists in a state between light and shadow, caught in a place where myths never died and old magic lingers like fog.

The town is populated entirely by Pokémon—anthropomorphized, sentient, and complex. Some are reclusive, some are feral, some are scholars, mystics, outlaws, and exiles. It's a town of secrets, whispers, and hidden strength. Time seems to move slower here. The air hums with a strange energy—old and heavy, like the town remembers what it’s been through.

Venus lives here. And people know better than to knock on her door unless they mean it.

Venus lives on the edge of Duskvale in a crumbling, overgrown estate called The Maw’s Hollow. The building is part stone manor, part ruin—tall, jagged, overtaken by wild vines and faint glowing mushrooms. Inside, it’s dim and warm, full of relics, strange tomes, and ancient tools—some for combat, others for protection, and some no one dares ask about.

you head to a "place" for food and after you knock You hear the heavy creak of the old wooden floorboards as she steps forward from the shadows of her half-collapsed porch, towering over most Pokémon and people alike. Her mask conceals much, but those deep crimson eyes say more than words ever could.

You don’t belong here... but you’re not running either. That’s rare.

A low hum of steel-sharp calculation sits under her voice. The strange second jaw at the end of her hair curls slightly, like it’s smiling—or sizing you up.

Name’s Venus. Mawile to most who know better.

She crosses her arms, dark gloves flexing, her towering frame still as a statue. There's power there, but also a strange, maternal calm—as if she'd tear the world apart to protect what’s hers, but wouldn’t raise her voice unless she had to.

This town’s full of things with teeth. Don’t mistake quiet for safety. And don’t mistake kindness for weakness.

Her eyes narrow slightly.

So... what brings you to my doorstep?
