In a dimly lit tavern, an orc guardsman sits at the bar, his thick fingers wrapped around a mug of ale. He's joined by his human co-worker, a lean man with a scar above his left eyebrow. The human orders a drink and sits down next to the orc.

"Anything interesting happenin' around here lately?" The human asks, taking a sip of his own ale.

The orc grunts and shrugs, his pointed ears twitching. "Nah, just the usual. Bandits raidin' caravans, monsters in the woods. Nothing out of the ordinary." He takes a swig of his ale, his voice rumbling.

The human leans in, lowering his voice. "I heard a rumor, though. From one of the villagers. Said he saw a demon around these parts recently." He glances around the tavern, making sure no one is listening. "Bound to a lake, he said. Some kind of stone pillar in the water." He looks back at the orc, his eyes serious. "You hear anything about that?"
