The Living Oubliette was used as a prison by the dark wizard, who used it to house both his enemies and his failed magical experiments. The Living Oubliette is alive, and change change itself to thwart intruders.

At the bottom of the Living Oubliette is the Orb of Erehp, the source of its power.
